Lucky is the reason I stopped watching the show, I now have dreams about pummeling Lucky in the mouth and making out with Luanne afterwards. Whoever came up with this character should be fired and blackballed from Hollywood in this and all subsequent lives.

I agree. I've only watched up to Season 4 so far (as only the first four seasons have been released on DVD in Australia), and I've seen a few random episodes from seasons 5-10, and I've downloaded all of season 11 & 12 (so far), and I've gotta say that from what I've seen, I absolutely *HATE* *HATE* *HATE* Lucky. He's ugly repulsive unlikeable selfish white trash and he's the WORST thing to ever happen to the show. I also can't stand his AWFUL voice.I'm all for new characters, but seriously...why desecrate one of our favourite characters (Luanne) by setting her up with Lucky?! Bleugh. He doesn't seem like the sort of person Luanne would want to marry AT ALL. Besides, what ever happened to her dream of being a rich and famous Hollywood makeup artist?

They should kill him off in a double episode a la Buckley/Debbie. But unlikely Buckley/Debbie, I want to see his battered corpse!

I don't like Lucky per se, but I don't mind him either. I think you're going a little too far in saying he's ruining the show.

Don't take this the wrong way, but sometimes it's hard for me to take an argument seriously when the person has only a remedial understanding of spelling, grammar, and syntax. I respect your opinion, but your argument reeks of hyperbole.

Lucky is a good character, but those who don't like him have a valid arguement.

Most shows use new characters when they're running low on original material. Very rarely do they actually work. Most sitcoms introduce a child, namely the precocious type, who subtract from the original premise with their "cute" factor.

One show, Married...with Children introduced a lot of new semi-regular characters, none more noticably than Seven, where he blatantly tries to take Kelly and Bud out of the picture. But they successfully used Jefferson D'Arcy for the remainder of the series after Steve Rhoades ceased to be a regular character.

With King of the Hill, Lucky's addition is a welcome change for a deadly monotonous pattern the show was following for a while. Lucky doesn't appear as often it would seem, maybe three real appearance per season, and he has been the most compatible mate Luanne has had on the show. And his yokel persona is nowhere near as exaggerated as Cletus from The Simpsons.

Seems to me like whenever a show like King of the Hill is finally ready to do something interesting, nobody wants it.

I'm quite indifferent to lucky. I like him, only because Tom Petty voices him. I love Tom Petty. I do not mind Lucky.

i don't like lucky either..but..well....they could atleast make him look a hell of alot better, lol. compared 2 luanne he looks so old and ugly,& he's kinda fat he needs to work out more and get his teeth straightened out,and get a new haircutit would be so funny if someone saw lucky and luanne standing next 2 each other and they'd ask luanne "is this your dad/uncle?" and luanne would say "no! he's my husband!" lmao. they really should make him look better. i mean how old is lucky anyway? we know luanne is in her 20's,but lucky looks like he's in his 40-50's,ewwww!!!

I find Lucky amusing when he gets the B-side in a story. Such as when he wants to get Bobby a corn-chip "off the line". In that smaller role he can be very funny. When an episode centers around Lucky it's hit or miss.

    BTW, Tom Petty rocks.

He is an ok character but ever since they made him a main character he hasn't been so good.

I believe that in the last season finale that his age was revealed. He's 40, I think I'll go back and check. What did he do for a job before his lawsuit?

I love Lucky man! I think he is one of the best characters on the show and every episode he's in is usually good!

When Khan & Mihn become rednecks is hilarious! I also like it when Lucky tried to get his G.E.D. and when he took the guys stumpin!

How can you not love his quote:

"I slipped on pee-pee at the Costco and got a $53,000 settlement"
