We see a shelf with a large number of boxes, a clothes rail with many clothes hanging on it, and an assortment of objects on the ground. When Hank leaves and the father is wondering where his son has disappeared to we see inside the closet again. Everything including the shelf, clothes and clothes rail have disappeared. Dale: (to Nancy) Baby, I always hoped we'd die together. Peggy, you go die over there.
Nancy (surrounded by the wildfire): I don't want to go to Heaven with brown roots!
Nancy: It's not my fault I got the weather wrong, all I do is read it off the teleprompter! It's my job to pronounce it, not predict it!
Nancy: I don't want to die; I just want to read the weather!

Dale: It's the perfect scheme! How are they gonna report it?
This was the first episode to be part of Fox's Animation Domination block.
This is the first King of the Hill episode directed by Yvette Kaplan, who was animation director of Mike Judge's Beavis and Butt-Head Do America.
The show Hank was watching when Bobby comes home in the Lost and Found pants sounds like Seinfeld. The noise that was being made sounds like the music they use when changing scenes. It has been established in a number of episodes that the gang likes this show.
This title was taken off from a popular novel and movie Gone With The Wind.
