Bobby and Joseph decide to try smoking, and head off to a restroom. Hank, needing the bathroom, knocks on the door, and enters. He finds Bobby with a lit cigarette, and snatches it right away. To teach him a lesson, Hank decides to punish Bobby. He purchases a carton of cigarettes, and sits with Bobby, as he smokes each and every one. Bobby is excited at first, but as the smoking continues, his face turns green. Hank is instructing Bobby on how to hold his cigarette, and how to inhale, as the "lesson" goes on. Hank decides that Bobby has had enough of a lesson, with one pack left to go, and lets him off. He decides that instead of "wasting" that final pack, he will go ahead and smoke it. Without letting Peggy know. Peggy and Hank were once avid cigarette smokers, who decided to kick their habit together a ways back.
Hank hides his new addiction for awhile, then lights up in a diner, while lunching with Peggy. Peggy joins the new habit, and they take a stroll down memory lane. As "new" "old" smokers, they rediscover the joys of tobacco together. Pretty soon though, they notice that Bobby is still in fact hooked. Luanne tries to take control of the situation. She stands guard over the three of them, as they battle the tobacco withdrawals as a family. From shivering and sweating, to crazy mood swings, she rides the roller coaster of addiction right along side the Hills. They attend a twelve step group, only to be gawked at, for giving Bobby a carton of cigarettes to smoke, and getting him hooked.
After many sleepless nights, the Hills overcome the addiction of tobacco together, thanks to the iron fisted Luanne.
