    • Charlie Fortner: Go on Hank, laugh ... a man in a diaper, and that's not enough, I have to buy them with my own money!
Hank: Sir, if it makes you feel better, I too wear ... (Hesitates) protection.
Charlie Fortner: Oh, really? What brand is the most absorbent?
      Hank: Uhhh ...

    • Hank: Sorry, Dale, you've got to work at Strickland to be in the group. Except for Luanne, she's in or Buck won't pay for T-shirts.

    • Charlie Fortner: Tell you what, you just keep doing your little propane comedy show, you just have fun with it, and I will see that you never work in this business again. You'll be back hawking dungarees at Jeans West before you can say "Oo-la-la Sassoon!"

    • Dale: Gas cop, gas cop, whatcha gonna do, Whatcha gonna do when he comes for you?

    • Bobby: (playing a propane salesman) I only sell C-3-H8. That smells like C-H4.
Joe Jack: (dressed as a big baby) I need a new diaper. Baby did a bad, bad thing.
Peggy: (Hank laughs like crazy) It is a fart joke, Hank.
(Hank pauses a moment, then laughs again).

  • Notes

  • Allusions

    • Bobby mentions Tony Randall and his wife doing the New York Crossword. Tony Randall was an actor from New York and his wife at the time was Heather Harlan.

    • Joe Jack: I've never met a president before, well I have met Patrick Swazye, but that doesn't count.

Joe Jack is referring to the movie Point Break, where his character wears masks of presidents to rob banks.

    • Bobby mentions that Gleason had six bus uniforms. He is referring to Jackie Gleason who played a bus driver on "The Honeymooners".

    • There are a number of songs parodied in this episode.
The theme song for the Propaniacs is a parody of "She's a Maniac" by Hall and Oats
The Gas Cop theme song is a parody of "Bad Boys" by Bob Marly. The original song is used as the theme for the show Cops, hence the reference.
When Bobby sings You must buy, you must buy, you must buy, propane he is singing this to the tune of "Cocaine" by Eric Clapton.
