  • Beautiful!

This was a good episode. Not fantastic, not roll on the floor laughing funny, but it as nice and had some good funny moments, especially with Luanne and Buck. It is always nice when Peggy gets in over her head and gets knocked down (no pun intended). I enjoyed this episode, but its not one of my favourite ones. Still worth a watch though!

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

FILTER BY TYPE

  • TRIVIA (2)

    • There was no tagline for this episode as it had a closing scene over the credits instead of the theme song.

    • Luanne's hair seems to have fully grown back, and it is the first (aired and produced) episode where her hair is back to normal, however the episode aired early and so there are episodes that air afterwards where her hair is shorter, due to them being produced first.

  • QUOTES (8)

    • Bobby (asPeggy has just appeared fully re-done by the pageant specialist): Wow, mom! You look like you could star in a headache commercial!

    • (Peggy wants Luanne to highlight her hair)
      Luanne: It's just that highlights was a two-part class, and I missed . . . both parts.

    • Bobby:(screams) My eyes!
Hank: (to Peggy) I thought he stopped havin' those nightmares.

    • Minh: You look like a Ronald McDonald bozo, Peggy Hill! (Peggy drives away) She's so stuck up. Not even say hello.

    • Bobby: There's ME, standing next to that giant Road Runner!
Peggy: Are you still having that nightmare where he pecks your eyes out?
Bobby: Oh, I had forgotten about those, until now.
      Peggy: Hmmm.

    • Lane: Now, what's it gonna take for you to buy this truck today?
Peggy: Oh, I'm not going to BUY it, I am going to WIN it in a beauty pageant.
      Lane: Test drive is OVER!

    • Hank: I have a truck.
      Peggy: Well, I don't.
      Hank: You have a car.
Peggy: A car is fine, but a truck is a force.
      Hank: True.

    • Nancy (Serving Peggy a cup of coffee): Here ya go, sug. Two sugs, right sug?

  • NOTES (2)

    • During the routine the contestants are practicing the song "Wannabe" by Spice Girls is playing, Bill sings along to "Taking Care of Business" while washing his car and Luanne hums "My Favorite Things" (from The Sound of Music) as she prepares to destroy Peggy's glasses.

    • This is the first appearance of used-car salesman Lane Pratley. Here he is voiced by series regular Johnny Hardwick, though in "Nine Pretty Darn Angry Men" he is voiced by Dwight Yoakam, and in subsequent episodes he is voiced by Dave Thomas.
