This is one of my favourite episodes of the entire series. It's fun, well written, highly entertaining and is very funny. It has all the major characters, and a good B Plot. Everything about this episode just works. All the characters are on top of their game, and it's a rare episode in which, you don't want it to end. While there are a number of good episodes in the later seasons, few are ones that are great no matter how many times you watch it. They often get dull after a few views. But this one is like a classic episode, in which it entertains each time I watch it. Fantastic job KOTH!
Peggy's last birthday was held up by a robber at a restaurant. Her purse and wallet were stolen and she decides that this year she is going to have a problem free birthday. She organizes a murder-mystery dinner train event with all of her friends. They get on board the train and are immediately greeted by the train commissioner, who tells them he is in no affiliation with the Murder-Mystery Dinner and that everyone better behave and not cause any trouble. As Hank said, Fun, in a controlled environment. Turns out that LuAnn spoils the big mystery by telling everyone she is the one who is murdered and who is her murderer. Then the refridgerator went bad spoiling all of the food so there was nothing to eat and they were in a dry county on the train route, so they were allowed no alcohol. Peggy was feeling pretty down about this time, so she runs to the bathroom, crying, where Hank follows her and they end up having relations in the train bathroom. Well it isn't too long when Kahn decides to use the restroom and finds two sets of footprints on the mirror, indicating someone was doing the naughty! So the mystery begins - Kahn makes everyone take their shoes off and line up their feet with the ones on the mirror, and we all know Peggy has big feet, so I don't know why that wouldn't have been the dead giveaway. Hank creates a diversion by scaring the conductor so the train will stop and Peggy wipes the feet prints off the mirror. The group is thrown off the train and stranded in the middle of nowhere. Peggy thinks her birthday can't get any worse but things start to look up when, off in the distance, they see a bar. They decide to go in and things look rough at first, because the group is dressed in disco-style 70's clothing, but the bar crowd is pleased to have them. They all drink, laugh, dance and have a great time. Lucky comes up to Peggy at the end and solves the mystery to her, asking her if she had a lovely night. He knew.
alright hank and the gang go 70s on a train, i got to say this episode was good unlike the other boring ones that have peggy selling houses she needs to do something else because thats getting old she needs to start doing teaching again like in the old episodes, anyway this episode is really fun to watch knowing that there on a train and since peggy has terrible birthdays who knows what gonna happen, this is an episode worth waiting to get on DVD because its one of my favorite episodes on this season, my first one is (Death Picks Cotton)
