  • Struck Out!

    7.5
This is an OK episode, with some pretty funny moments, and a pretty good A and B plot, but it is not up to the level of some other incredible Season 3 episodes. It's always nice to see Bill getting hurt, and it happens (twice) in this episode. I found at times it did get a bit boring though. It was funnier then some other episodes though, and is worth a watch, but not really one that is a classic, or I can watch over and over again. It's nice to see Hank admit that he is wrong, which is something Peggy would not have done, had the shoe been on the other foot, but that's what makes Hank better. Overall, an OK, episode, but nothing to cheer about.moreless

I haven't watched this show in a long time, so i decided to watch a couple episodes on adult swim. What i got was some hilarious results.

what i liked- the ball hitting Bill in the groin and Dale laughing, "Ah, you killed my Minh! Just kidding. But you really do suck Peggy Hill", the ending with the Strickland team winning, the rivalry between hank and Peggy, Hank, Peggy and Bobby all at one time saying "thatherton!" in an angry tone, bobby trying to sell his cookies, hank being disgusted that bobby made cookies, amongst other things.

pretty funny episode. i laughed more than i remember laughing at this episode in the past. pretty much every scene had me laughing or chuckling. great plot too. A+moreless
  • This is one of the few episode where Peggy actually has actual talent and Hank is being the egotistical idiot.

    8.0
Peggy is egotistical and boastful. But when it comes to pitching, she has actual talent. That is until Hank tries to be macho and not let a woman (especially his wife) outdo him. He is a lousy couch, but cannot admit it. As a side plot, Bobby tries to outdo the Arrow Girle cookies, but it is just a cheap way to prove Bobby and Conny are a couple. I like this episode, since Peggy isn't her usual annoying self. If only this side of her appeared more often. It could make her character more likable, but that seems to be impossible.moreless

  • TRIVIA (6)

    • As Bobby slides into the girl scout's box of cookies with his bike, there is a lock box (to the right of the desk) and some cookies on the desk (to the left of the desk) and are spread apart from each other. A few shots later when you see the desk again they are now side by side.

    • The scene where Hank and Peggy are fighting to control the pancakes, Hank flips the first pancake. In the next shot he's moved onto the other pancakes but the 1st one is just like it was before he flipped it, despite not flipping it between shots.

    • After Peggy loads the bases in the final game after a wild pitch strikes one of the women, you can see her hair is blonde. In the next shot when Mr. Strickland comes to see Hank the girl who got walked has brown hair and in a ponytail. The woman went straight to first base, plus there was not enough time between shots for a pinch runner to replace her.

    • Tagline: "Tell you what man, let's play some dang ol' ball!" -Boomhauer

    • During the softball game, Peggy accidentally strikes Bill on the left side of his head. Later, Bill is icing his head on the right side.

    • When Dale caught the ball with his hat, Kurt Bevacqua should actually have been awarded a triple, since that's against the rules.

  • QUOTES (7)

    • Thatherton: Allow me to introduce the newest dispatcher at Thatherton Fuels, Mrs. Rita Bevaqua.
Hank: Bevaqua? Any relation to former Texas Rangers third baseman Kurt Bevaqua?
Rita: Kurt's my husband by marriage.
Thatherton: The Chamber of Commerce rule book says immediate family members are eligible to play. Husband falls under the category of immediate family, don't it, boys?
      Hank: Thatherton!

    • Peggy: We both know Kurt Bevaqua corks his bat. He always has and he always will.
Hank: Peggy, he was using an aluminum bat.
Peggy: I didn't say he was smart, Hank, I said he was cheating.

    • Hank: Everybody wants to be a superstar now. Nobody wants to be a team player. You know, when the Coach wanted Mickey Mantle to take the pitch, and he wasn't too hung over to see the sign, he took the pitch, I tell you what.

    • Hank: Let's walk this next batter, set up the double play.
Peggy: Oh, Hank, I can strike out this lap-dancer in my sleep.
Hank: No, it's not good strategy. Walk this gal and pitch to the one with the ridiculous implants.

    • Peggy: Enrique...he's a good man, Hank, but he's got a porcelain hand.

    • (Selling cookies--competing with the 'Arrow Scouts')
Bill: Do not buy inferior 'Arrow Girl Scout' cookies. Oatmeal--that's for breakfast. Mints--what are you, sixty? Dog poop--what flavor is that for a cookie? Oh, my mistake. That's their PEANUT BUTTER!

    • Kahn: Oh my God! You killed my Minh! Not really, but you really do suck Peggy Hill.
