  • Impressed by Bill looking after a solider's dog as part of an Army scheme, Hank also signs up to look after a pet. However, the Hills wind up with a ferocious, uncontrollable cat. Not a classic, but I've seen worse offerings from the series...

Although this is far from one of the show's classics, I was a little surprised to read the other reviews that rate this as bottom of the barrel.

It is a fair story, and I found it had a few amusing parts, although it does suffer from season 9 syndrome of not really being the show at it's best.

I think one of the things that could have easily improved this episode is the inclusion of a b-plot. It would have beefed the episode up more; I think the main flaw is that the cat story alone is not enough for a good episode.

The funniest parts of the episode, for me, were Bill and his dog, and just how well things were going for them. It was nice to not see Bill fail for once.
  • Decent episode.

I have to think that Hank is very much a simple-minded character. He never really expects anything to happen and only focuses on the one thing in which he thinks will happen. In this episode, he expected a dog. He got a cat. This cat was also very mean and wild. Hank couldn't control him and ended up taking him to the vet. This episode was funny and also entertaining. I liked the fact that Bill got the dog Hank dreamed about. Overall, this was a good episode with many things to like. I was very much entertained and interested. Thank you.
  • This episode was one of the worst I have seen so far on King of The Hill.

This episode was pretty pathetic. I thought it was weird to begin with, and it confused me. Why would such a thing occur where he would get an animal from the army? I soon began to figure it out a little bit.

From there on, the episode was predictable, and boring. The veterinary restriction was a stupid thing to add into the show, and the fact that the cat was a problem for the family and not for the vets does not make any amount of sense. The whole time it was apparent the vet was running unnecessary tests, and this was dragged on for the whole episode. It was boring to see test after test.

Finally after the climax of the episode, I am left with no satisfaction. The ending was nothing amazing, and didn't make too much sense.

The worst episode I have seen so far from an otherwise great show.
  • This episode seems to be more stupid than funny, not a good thing BTW!

The only joke in this episode is when Dale said "Catastrophe" when the cat was acting crazy a lot, which was funny, but not the rest of this episode.

Seriously, I'll say it again, I love this show, but when it comes to a Season 9 episode, I'll hate it in a heartbeat. Anyways, Hank is supposed to get a dog from a solider but ends up getting a cat called Duke, who is very crazy and mean, and sadly, most of the jokes came from his destruction towards the Hills. It might seem funny at first, and it kind of was, but it gets tiresome and boring too quickly, and very stupid as well: I thought KOTH isn't suppose to be a stupid show, but with this episode, this was just stupid for the most part. All you really can get is chuckles from it, but I'll doubt it, unless you want (really good) laughs, look else where for a good KOTH episode.

Hank ends up sending Duke to a veterinarian, he did some tests on it and now Hank is being billed for thousands of dollars.

Stop right there: That cat isn't Hank's, so why is he paying lots of money to cure the cat when it's really the solider's pet anyways, he should be paying for it, not Hank. From there on the episode mainly becomes a pure mess because of the boredom and stupidity of the plot, and lack of real jokes. It's not very exciting either. It's predictable, and very, very lame, in fact, it's a pointless episode. How this a great show like this end up with crappy episodes like this, I'll never know, and will remain why Season 9 will always be the worst KOTH season ever.
