Kingfish, also known as Kingfish: A Story of Huey P. Long, is a 1995
biographical TV drama directed by Thomas Schlamme. Long, a democrat with
a populist point of view, was the controversial 40th governor of
Louisiana from 1928 to 1938, and served as a U.S. Senator from
Louisiana. He also had aspirations to run for the US presidency. Due to
his personality and radical views, Long was glorified by the media. The
TV movie depicts the ups and downs of his life, career and death.
