In all of Kirby's games when he entered his Spark mode he never turned green.
Spark Kirby makes his very first appearance!
Squishy the squid is an enemy from the Kirby games. And his use of electric attacks is a reference to Master Green, a squid mini-boss in Kirby's Dreamland 2.
Kirby eats a sweet potato, which gives him the hiccups. Not only are sweet potatoes known to give people gas, but in Kirby's Dream Land for the GameBoy, there was a Sweet Potato item, which would puff Kirby up, giving him the power to fly for a short time while being able to rapidly shoot air pellets to attack instead of having to constantly reinflate (in the US release of the game, the item was mistakenly named, "Mint Leaf")
Spark Kirby is the first form of the new season.
The Sushi-Bot is a reference to Reggie's father Bruno Bullnerd in the ChalkZone episode, "The Heist".
