  • Ramsey used again?

    9.0
Well done to Gordon for telling the owners to get rid of that dirty and arrogant chef and his lazy pal. After the refurb the owners sold the business, I'm guessing they were going to sell anyway after his dad died and they used the show to refurb the place first!
  • Ramsay saves the ages old Seascape run by an owner who has yet to find himself and not let his lazy chef run his buisness into the grounds.

This was a classic episode. That kitchen was so filthy and the two chefs could not care less. I mean how do you live with yourself serving obviously hazardous food like that. Ramsay has such a talent at finding out what core problems are and it always amazes me how he brings out the best in people. But the two chefs were beyond the point of no return. ramsay was right to suggest to get rid of them. I loved the relationship between the mother and the son. It was satisfying to see how the son got over his personal issue and finally started running the buisness the right way. All the people saying Ramsay is a yelling **** but in my opinion he is a therapist, consultant, awesome chef and probably a really awesome person. GREAT EPISODE!!!moreless
  • The Seascape...

    7.5
I think a review I found on the internet where the person mentioned that he thought the owners of the 'Seascape' probably brought in Gordon Ramsay to fix up the restaurant just to sell it when it became successful was very close to the truth.

I felt sorry for the son because he seemed to be in a position he did not want. His mother was a little overbearing and she expected Peter to run the restaurant when he did not have the knowledge to do so where as she had over 40 years experience. The man just needed encouragement and even asked for a hug from Gordon at one point.

The best line in this episode came from the sous chef Charlie. Gordon was angered by the state of the kitchen and thought Charlie found it funny. When confronted by Gordon, Charlie stated, "What do you want me to do? Stand here and start crying or something?" I think there are too many alligator tears being shed in other 'Kitchen Nightmares' episodes and just too many reality shows in general.

While I agree the head chef Doug should definitely have been fired, Charlie should have been given another chance. He did not have the same arrogance as the chef and given the training, most likely would have improved.moreless
  • good episode...

Gordon goes to an old restaraunt thta was very successful but, since the new leadership, has been failing. The food was terrible and the place smelled and was falling apart. There was a waiter that had been there since like 1960 something! That was crazy. Anyways, Gordon did his usual work and got everyone to work and even got the son to finally act like a boss. It was weird at the end of the episode to hear that they sold the restaraunt. I was suprised that the show even told us that. Hmmm... anyways, overall, this was another good episode.moreless

Well Ramsay seems to know what he is doing..not like these owners. The more he has these shows the more I love watching them. He gets to the point and doesn't hold back.He may have a mouth but hey he lets them know even if the owners don't like it and they think they know it all when Ramsay has been in the business far longer and has many people he has teached and how to run a Resturant. He knows what he is doing and knows what it takes to run them. I can't see why the owners can get away with what they make and sell to people and that people are so blind sided and can't see a dirty place and why eat there and thing of there health for one and the children who get sicker fast then we do.moreless
