Klinik!

Show Summary

Klinik! is a British soap opera spoof directed by Robert Katz and written by Geoff Atkinson and Kim Fuller. The TV series is produced by Vera Productions, Ltd. and debuted on Channel 4 in the UK in 1997. The show is actual footage of an old Dutch soap opera that has been revoiced in order to create comedic scenes, instead of the actual drama the show originally depicted. Most episodes focus solely on Dr. Werther (Alistair McGowan) who works at a hospital. The hospital is also where most of the series is filmed. A frequent theme on the show includes someone who is hurt and rushed to the hospital where Dr. Werther is working. Once they arrive at the hospital, Dr. Werther and his staff attempt to rescue the patient, but instead of the original serious dialogue, the new dialogue is comedic in nature. Other various characters are voiced by Ronni Ancona, Joanna Brookes and Steve Steen.
