    FILTER BY TYPE

    • TRIVIA (5)

      • When Vance Burke and his men were going to steal the skip loader bait that Michael had set up and then Vance ran to the Chevy and took off. Michael and Kitt chased him, got in front of him and Michael pushed the 'Oil Slick' button. When the camera gets close, you can see that KITT's plate is backwards.

      • When the bulldozer tumbles Michael and KITT down the rock pile, it's a stock Trans-Am, not modified to be KITT.

      • When Michael is breaking up the fight between the two old guys, when he says they need each other, in the shot of all of them, Michael simply has his arms between them. But in the close up shots, Michael has each man's shirt clenched in his fist.

      • When the security guard shot at the semi being stolen, he hit the windshield. After he dove out of the way from being run over, the next shot showed no marking on the windshield from the bullet.

      • When Michael arrives at the desert pit with the stolen machinery, KITT's windows are up. When he gets out of KITT, the windows are down. When he calls KITT, the windows are back up, but when KITT arrives to rescue him, they are once again down. They are immediately hit by the bulldozer, and the windows are once again up.

    • QUOTES (4)

      • Michael: Something in my bones tells me I'm right!
KITT: The ultraphonic analyzer indicates there's absolutely nothing unusual about your bones.
Michael: I'm talking about a feeling here; I'm talking about a gut reaction.
KITT: And I'm showing no unusual activity in your gastro-intestinal system!

      • Michael: Obviously April has over-programmed you with that new ultraphonic analyzer.
        KITT: Impossible!

      • KITT: (to Burke) I'm afraid the only big iron you'll be handling for a long time is going to belong to the Department of Corrections.

      • Michael: KITT, give me a systems check.
KITT: It's hard to tell, Michael. My systems have never gone underground before.
Michael: Neither have I, and I don't like it.

    • NOTES (5)

      • The German episode title is "Einer spielt falsch", meaning "One is Acting Deceitfully". The French episode titles are "Travaux publics" ("Public Works") and "Du gros métal" ("Big Metal"). The Czech episode title is "Železo na prodej", meaning "Iron for Sale".

      • Music: Willie Nelson's "Mamas, Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up to Be Cowboys" (cover)

      • This is the second of Alex Kubik's three, unrelated appearances on Knight Rider. He can also be seen in season one's "Just My Bill" and season three's "Junk Yard Dog."

      • Michael calls KITT's Trajectory Guide "April's new gadget," even though it had been seen used earlier in "Blind Spot." In reality, this episode, despite being shown last in the season, was one of the first ones produced for it (as reflected in the production number). In some foreign syndication packages, this episode is returned to its intended airing order.

      • Though credited, Rebecca Holden does not appear in this episode.
