During the limo demonstration at the opening scene, Lilah calls the limo the "XLAP." A moment later, Hanson calls it the "LXAP."
The rocket launcher footage from the first test is recycled from previous episodes, including "Goliath."
The chemical diagrams of armor plating composition KITT displays shows vast quantities of hydrogen and oxygen, and includes elements such as iodine and potassium, that would not be in armor plating.
When the missile is fired at Michael while he's on the test course in another sabotaged limousine, KITT warns he has 2.3 seconds until impact, but closer to 10 seconds elapses until Michael tricks it into slamming into a hill.
The data Bonnie displays on the deaths of former Armorbuilt customers is just a BASIC program of PRINT and REM statements with unrelated text.
The Chamber Temp. Control is really the numeric keypad of an entire keyboard with a label pasted above it.
KITT: How are you getting in?
Michael: I'm going to pick the lock!
KITT: That's illegal, Michael.
Michael: So is the way we parked.
Michael: KITT, I can't put a price on you. I wouldn't even know where to begin.
KITT: Well, what if we were in deep snow country, our adversaries dynamited the road, the explosion set off a massive avalanche, we're buried under tons of ice and snow, we have no food, you haven't slept in two days, and—
Michael: Can I have Mel with me?
KITT: You know, lately, I get the feeling you enjoy answering my questions without really answering them. Am I right or am I wrong?
Michael: Yes.
(speeding around the test track)
Michael: Okay, let's look good, pal. There's a lot riding on this one.
KITT: Michael, I always look good.
Devon: This is a matter that may well merit our scrutiny.
Michael: Devon--
Devon: Good luck, Michael.
Michael: "Merit our scrutiny?"
Michael: The armor plate in that limousine is so below-spec, you could use it to wrap sandwiches.
Gene: That's a powerful accusation.
Lilah: Ease up, Gene. He hasn't proved a thing. He's a driver—he's got a gas tank for a brain and a tailpipe for a mouth.
Michael: That's right, and I've been behind the wheel long enough to know when I'm on the right track.
Gene: You tryin' to say something?
Michael: I just did.
Gene: (to Mel) You can do a lot for your kid with $50,000. Or you can take out a loan for his funeral.
The German episode title is "Der Konkurs", meaning "Bankruptcy". The French episode title is "Auto-défense". The Czech episode title is "Odkoupení", meaning "Repurchase".
This is the second of Robin Dearden's two, unrelated appearances on Knight Rider. She can also be seen as Liberty in season one's "Give Me Liberty... Or Give Me Death."
