When Liberty is kidnapped by the two men, she is wearing a dress, but in the very next shot you see her bound and gagged and she is wearing a completely different outfit.
Michael: Maybe I should stay in until the other shoes drop.
Devon: Are you sure it's not because you want to win?
Michael: Devon, do you know me at all?
Devon: Yes, that's why I asked.
KITT: There's no doubt about it, Michael. That's the exact signal I detected 2 milliseconds before the Prince brothers were... what is the phrase?
Bonnie: Blown to smithereens.
Liberty: (muffled scream through tape)
KITT: Michael, she would like you to take the gag off.
Michael: Oh. (looks at Liberty) I don't think so. You know, this is the first conversation I've had with you where I could get a word in edgewise.
Michael: KITT could win this race with one booster tied behind his back.
The German episode title is "Ein mysteriöser Saboteur". The Czech episode title is "Svobodu nebo smrt", meaning "Freedom or Death".

This is the first of Robin Dearden's two, unrelated appearances on Knight Rider. She can also be seen as Mel in season three's "Buy Out."
This is the first of Kai Wulff's two, unrelated appearances on Knight Rider. He can also be seen in season three's "Custom Made Killer."
This episode contains a dig at "rival" series The Dukes Of Hazzard. Here, two hillbillies, the Prince brothers (as opposed to the Duke cousins), race around in a souped-up orange Dodge Charger (the type of car that is famous as the Dukes' 'General Lee'). They meet their doom when their car explodes!
Previously, The General Lee in The Dukes Of Hazzard stood as the fastest and most famous car on TV, and when Knight Rider began, the producers were keen to brew up some rivalry, running promotional pictures showing KITT next to a car similar to the General Lee.
After Michael finds out he may have to give up his trophy, Devon responds, "sic transit gloria mundi." A phrase borrowed from papal coronations, it roughly means that worldly things are merely fleeting. In this case, Michael's trophy.
