    • QUOTES (3)

      • Norman: How did you get in here? That's trespassing!
Michael: No, it's not. It's breaking and entering.

      • Michael: Somebody's got a real morbid sense of humor.
Bonnie: I wouldn't go that far.
        Michael: Morbid?
        Bonnie: Sense of humor.
        Michael: Gotcha.

      • Michael: Something tells me that your illusions are a lot more convincing than you are. But I've got some special effects of my own that'll make you disappear for about twenty years, man!

    • NOTES (4)

      • Norman is seen wearing a Silver Shamrock pumpkin mask during the party at the end, from the company at the center of Tommy Lee Wallace's 1982 film, Halloween 3: Season of the Witch.

      • The German episode title is "Tödliches Kostümfest", meaning "Deadly Costume Party". The French episode title is "Bal costumé", meaning "Costume Party". The Czech episode title is "Ďábelský Halloween", meaning "Devilish Halloween".

      • Music: Laura Branigan's "Self Control" (cover version); Bernard Herrmann's "Flight" and "The Murder" from Psycho (synthesizer-versions of the original score)

      • This is the second of Jason Evers' two, unrelated appearances on Knight Rider. He can also be seen in season one's "Not a Drop to Drink."

    • ALLUSIONS (2)

      • Michael claims "the Great Pumkpin told" him there was a party in 104. This refers to comic strip Peanuts' 1966 animated Halloween special It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown.

      • The character of Norman Baines is a reference to Norman Bates, from Robert Bloch's 1959 novel Psycho. The soundtrack plays on the music from Alfred Hitchcock's 1960 film version. The famous house used in the film is also used in the episode.
