Episode Summary

Knight Rider 2000
Michael is recalled from retirement because crime has become rampant in Seattle. The current system of freezing convicts is not working. KITT has been dismantled and the parts sold. Devon has managed to recover all but one chip which has been implanted in the head of a female cop whose brain was destroyed by a bullet. KITT is installed in a box and used in Michael's '57 classic Chevy. He and the cop, who has a chip on her shoulder as well as in her head, are teamed. Meanwhile, the foundation is preparing the new car, named K.I.F.T. (Knight Industries Four Thousand.)moreless

  • It is the year 2000, and criminals are being frozen, only to be release to wreak havoc on a new generation. Enter Michael Knight and KITT, reunited to save the day. KITT is brought back to life, but things are not the same as before.moreless

While I like this one, I was saddened to find out that the original car had been dismantled and some of the parts were sold off, thanks to the arrogant Maddock! KITT definitely shines here; Devon compared KIFT to KITT, saying that it didn't have KITT's humanity. KITT's primary function, as you recall, is the protection of all life, specifically the life of Michael Knight. KIFT had no such programming, and would have indeed ran over the deer, had Maddock not intervened! The car is quite ugly, though looked better with the red scanner lights, and with KITT installed, thanks to Michael Knight. A good try, but they didn't include Bonnie Barstow or RC! Oh well...moreless
  • Nice Little Reunion Minus April, Bonnie & RC.

I thought this was a good Made-For-TV-Movie Knight Rider Reunion though it wasnt much of a Reunion without Bonnie, April or RC but at least Three of my Favorite Characters were in it: Michael Knight, KITT & Devon Miles. I Loved the Theme to it though but as for the Storyline and stuff I thought it was dull but ok except the scene where they kill Devon, That just made me cry. and at the end of the movie I Cried to because I knew that would be the last time I'd See KITT And Michael Together.moreless

    • KITT: (to KIFT across room) I suppose we should at least be cordial. My name is KITT, originally designed with Series 2000 circuitry. (KIFT turns on headlights) Terrific. The lights are on, but nobody's home. They spend $10 million building the car and forget the voice. Incredible.

    • KITT: So it's going to be "mine is bigger than your," is it?
      KIFT has Maddock's voice]
KIFT: Mine is bigger than yours.
KITT: So it talks...and sounds suspiciously familiar.
KIFT: I only speak when its necessary.
KITT: Maddock's voice! I knew the man had an ego, but please.
KIFT: We have nothing further to discuss.
KITT: There's nothing worse than a smart-ass automobile.

    • KITT: Is that you, Michael?
      Michael: Yeah.
      KITT: You look like crap.
Michael: Well, so do you, pal.
KITT: At least I have an excuse. You've obviously gone down the toilet since we split up, Michael. Get a life.
Michael: I got a life and a body, too, which is more I than I can say for you.

    • Maddock: What are we standing around for? Let's get to work. I'm driving.
Shawn McCormick: No way. I'm driving.
KITT: You're both wrong. (drives off and stops for them) I don't have all day.

    • KITT: Now that's just wonderful. You stick me in mothballs for a decade, and then you sell my parts like I'm inventory for Manny, Moe, and Jack.

    • KITT: (to the Knight 4000) There's nothing worse than a smart-ass automobile.

    • [after Michael re-activates KITT in the Knight 4000]
Maddock: Oh, my God. You didn't!
KITT: I'm afraid he did, Mr. Maddock. And I must say, this body fits me like a glove.

    • Michael: It's either sink or swim with you, huh, pal?
KITT: I expect a full Simonize once this is over.

    • (KITT stuns James Doohan at an ATM)
James Doohan: They've set their phasers on stun, Captain. I don't like the looks of it.
KITT: Michael, shall I Mirandize him?
      Michael: KITT, it's Scotty.
      KITT: Who?
Maddock: Star Trek, you idiot! He's James Doohan, the actor who played Scotty in the original series. and all ten movies.
Michael: (to Maddock) Don't tell me you're a closet Trekkie.
James Doohan: The dilithium crystals are fading fast. I don't think I can hold them, Mr. Spock.
KITT: Maddock, I'm very angry about this. You obviously substituted a bogus chip in my memory. I want my old chip back!
James Doohan: The shields are buckling--somebody beam me up! (Doohan collapses)
Maddock: (trying to wake Doohan) Scotty! Scotty! Scotty!

    • KITT: I couldn't even play a round of Pac-Man in here
Michael: Pac-Man is in the Smithsonian, KITT.
KITT: Probably two exhibits away from you.

    • KITT: Michael, you look like crap. Get a life!

    • [K.I.T.T. drives Michael's Chevy into a load of crates in order to evade their pursuers]
Michael: What the hell are you doing to my car K.I.T.T.!? That's original paint!
