Knight Rider

Season 2 Episode 23

Let It Be Me

Aired Friday 9:00 PM May 13, 1984 on NBC

  • Trivia

    • Immediately after they show Michael the broken binary code, he leaves the foundation's mobile unit, the car does a 180, and heads down the wrong way of a highway. You can clearly tell it is a four lane divided highway because you can see the opposite sides' two lanes at the bottom of the screen. So Kitt is heading right into oncoming traffic at this point!

    • It's never explained how being in a rock band that puts her face in the limelight helps keep Stevie's identity secret after going into the Witness Protection Program at the end of season one's "White Bird."

    • When KITT picks up Michael in front of the hotel, he stops on top of several parking spots. However, when they cut to the wide shot, he is a few feet away from the parking spots.

    • Michael gets KITT to unlock a door with a wide handlebar below the lock, yet KITT's monitor displays a door with a thin handlebar above the lock.

    • April explains that one column of the decoded binary message is for date, with F19 being for Friday the 19th, but there is also F20, and the subsequent live broadcast has F24 and F25, all of which are contrary to her explanation.

    • Michael's flashbacks are recycled footage from season one's "White Bird."

    • When Michael and Stevie performed live, it was in the evening. But when they cut to a shot of April watching the concert from FLAG HQ, you can see daylight in the windows behind her.

    • When Michael is in the FLAG semi, he still has his brown vest jacket from the video shoot. When he backs out in KITT, the exterior shot shows him in his usual black leather jacket, yet when he gets to the concert arena, he's back in his brown vest jacket.

  • Quotes

    • Michael: I hope your [video] heads are clean.
KITT: My heads are always clean.

    • Stevie: I hate to say it, but I think [Greg's murderer]'s someone involved with this group.
Michael: Stevie, that makes everyone a suspect.
      Stevie: That's the worst part!

    • Stevie: (to Michael) [Greg] was a wonderful man, but when I went to bed at night, I dreamed about you.

    • Barbara: If I produced a video in this market with only one location, it would be my last.

    • Bodyguard: Greg hired me to protect the band and Stevie. He didn't think he needed protection, and now he's dead. And here you are, all of a sudden takin' his place with his band and his woman. I'd hate to think you had anything to do with his death.
      Michael: Believe me, I didn't.
Bodyguard: Yeah. Well, somebody did. And if I find him you're lookin' at their judge, jury, and executioner.
