For the first time, KITT uses CO2, which comes out from behind the headlights, to extinguish the fire.
Goof: The brim of the bridge with the bullet holes are breifly shown. The density of the holes and firing speed does not match the expected rate of fire.
GOOF:KITT claims that using rapid fire would deplete his ammunition supply (8000 rounds) in about seven seconds but this type of guns have a variable rate of fire. Also, the cover fire he provided did not need the maximum of over 1000 RPM.
Further, in a previous episode, KITT fired two of his guns for over 20 seconds without depleting his ammunition. Yet, in this episode, he fired for about four seconds and ran out of ammunition.
Goof: The coordinates that Billy found from the equation on the wall (34.499 and -118.8) are actually not correct. The answers are 64.51 and -63.53, which would lead to an underwater location in the Arctic Circle. Also the coordinates Billy gives Mike lead to an area completely devoid of any roads, inluding dirt roads and trails, even though in the episode a paved road can be clearly seen at that location.
Goof: When KITT fires at the van and most of the bullets appear to hit the passenger side of the van. Only in the next scene, the passenger seat appears to have no damage, not even a bullet hole.
Goof: The exhaust ports that provide KITT's turbo thrust are not engaged when KITT turbo boosts through KARR.
Goof: When agent Torres is placed inside KARR, a spiked implant stabs him in the center of his chest through his shirt. When Mike approaches Torres after KARR's destruction, there is no hole in Torres' shirt and no chest wound.
Goof: When agent Torres orders KARR to stand down, it states that it only takes orders from Dr. Graiman. Since KARR was reactivated using KITT's processor and data files, it would have already known that Dr. Graiman was dead.
Goof:In this episode, it is revealed that KITT was built to create a more compliant personality to eventually modify KARR's personality. However, in "Knight of the Living Dead", it is explained that KITT's personality is part of his neural net and cannot be downloaded or removed.
KARR requires a direct human interface to function properly and complete its missions.
KITT does not require such an interface and can function without human assistance.
Goof: Billy refers to KARR as Knight Automated Roving Robot but in the episode, "Knight of the Living Dead", KITT referred to KARR as the Knight Auto-Cybernetic Roving Robotic-Exoskeleton.
At the time of the original airing, the website that KITT uploaded himself to www.michaelknight.org redirected you to the NBC.com homepage.
Goof: When Sarah grabs the detonator from Stevens she holds it between the two screws. After that, in the shots from the front Sarah is holding the detonator at the top with her hand around the highest screw. In the shots from behind and the close-up she still holds the detonator between the screws.
Carrie's father is a CIA agent and her mother is a lawyer. Carrie was accepted to Columbia Law School and instead went to Quantico.
When Mike and KITT land in Arizona, KITT morphs his license plate from a California plate to an Arizona plate.
KITT morphs into attack mode and adds flashing red/blue lights, like a police car.
KITT's license plate in this episode is 77KR117.
The red ball-like item the robot "Hank" is handling, resembles a C60 atomic-structure. To some scientist this structure is some sort of holy grail of molecular-science, since it is the smallest fullerene molecule in which no two pentagons share an edge.
Goof: When Sarah seeks advice about decrypting the device containing the anti-virus, she contacts the SSC. But, Zoe physically cut all of the SSC's communication-posibilities just a few scenes earlier using an axe.
When the self-destruct was initiated, the scanner used the person's right hand. Only when Carrie and Alex place their hands to deactivate the self-destruct they initially use their left hands. In the following scene, they have their right hands on the scanner and the scanner is right handed.
