Four Knights set out on a quest to find the Crucible, the source of the sorcery-grade metal known as bloodsteel. They must find the Crucible before the evil Dragon Eye or all of Mirabilis will doomed.

Many of the costumes were borrowed from other productions in Vancouver including Stargate SG-1, Stargate Atlantis, and Flash Gordon.

Knights of Bloodsteel was originally being developed as a 22 episode series with another company. The project was scraped when it encountered financial problems and was later picked up by Reunion Pictures, who developed it into a miniseries.
