      • Although this was the last episode of the first season in the US, it became the first episode shown as part of the regular series when "Kojak" was first televised in Britain in 1974. ("The Marcus-Nelson Murders" had preceded it on British TV as a one-off TV movie). In Britain, the series proved so popular that the BBC screened the first two seasons back-to-back, without the usual break. However, they did not show the episodes in the same order as American TV.
