Pleased with the success it was having Wednesday nights on NBC with Kraft Television Theatre, the food maker decided to splurge for a second weekly series. Using the same title, this series aired the next night, Thursdays, on ABC. Just like its mother program, this Kraft Television Theatre was also an anthology series but relied heavily on adaptations of previously successful plays. Producer/director Stanley Quinn made the move from the NBC program and hired two additional directors: Fielder Cook and Fred Carney.''This double-dose of Kraft dramas was short-lived, with the sponsor dropping sponsorship of this Thursday version early in 1955.
