And, just to get it out of the way:

    Name: Mechanikat (KWLS-verse version)

    Species: Cybernetic alien cat (male)

    Home Universe: KWLS-verse.

Abilities/Equipment: Due to the fact that his entire body (except for his brain and what passes for his heart) is made out of one of the strongest alloys in the universe, Mechanikat is very nearly indestructible (though Krypto's super-bad-singing power can definitely wreak havok on the robot body's joints and weapons systems as the villain has learned from bitter experience), incredibly strong (though how much so is yet to be measured because he very rarely does his own dirty work, he HAS been seen lifting items that have to weigh AT LEAST 100 tons as if they were lighter than a feather or smashing solid titanium "heavy" punching bags into powder with a single blow) and doesn't have to breathe. On top of that, the servo-motors of Mechanikat's joints are so finely tuned that he is incredibly quick and agile despite the bulk of his robotic body AND that body contains a considerable stockpile of built-in gear (such as two-foot-long energy claws on his arms [all six of them] and legs, a self-propulsion system that allows him to fly at speeds very near that of light itself, upper arm wrist guns that each allow him to temporarily control the gravity of any one target at a time within a very limited range, middle arm wrist guns that can spray out a very powerful tear gas (powerful enough to even effect Lightning and Krypto), lower arm wrist super-laser cannons, sensory equipment that makes his eyesight and hearing 10, 000 times more acute than a normal cat's [though this has the drawback of making him extra-vulnerable to very bright lights and very loud noises {Krypto's super-bad-singing a DEFINITE example of the latter}], shoulder-mounted missile launchers, an invisibilty device AND a holographic image projector). In addition to the numerous extras built into his own robotic body, Mechanikat is a scientific, strategic and tactical genius (though he can very definitely be tripped up by his own ego) and also has a seemingly unlimited arsenal of alien weapons with which to equip his minions.

Background: Not much is known about the past of this alien super-menace who is undoubtedly, Lightning and Krypto's single most dangerous enemy (as well as the worst enemy of the Sirius Patrol and a major foe of the JSAnimals). All that IS known is that he, very obviously, was involved in a horrible accident that somehow made it necessary to have his brain and heart placed in a super-powerful robotic body and he, just as obviously, has a decided obsession with conquering the cosmos.

Though he has plagued Lightning and Krypto quite frequently via his underlings, the heroes didn't have their first face-to-face meeting with Mechanikat until Lightning was captured by the combined efforts of Blue Shadow and Artemis, his two chief agents (Blue Shadow created a considerable assortment of seemingly constant emergencies that were, combined with Artemis's frequent attacks, guaranteed to keep Lightning busy until the 24-hour charge on the X-Kryptonite wore off, causing him to lose his powers). The Sirius Patrol needed somebody to sneak in to Mechanikat's ship; either a cat who wasn't known to the villain or somebody DISGUISED as an unknown cat. To that end, they disguised Krypto as a white panther using cat ears and a fake tail. Oddly enough, Mechanikat, so giddy over Supercat being in his cluthes, was so overconfident that his ego blinded him to Krypto's disguise, which was just the edge the super dog needed (well, that, and his super-bad-singing power; which he had not used before that case, but definitely came in handy here) to find and free Lightning, defeat the villain and his forces and escape with his feline friend unharmed.

Despite this rather humiliating defeat, however, Mechanikat remains undaunted and incredibly dangerous, albeit almost strictly behind the scenes.

Personality: Extremely intelligent; particularly in the areas of science, tactics and strategy; but is also incredibly arrogant, which can make him prone to overconfidence and also blind him to some pretty obvious things at times (like Krypto's cat ears and cat tail "disguise"). This arrogance also causes him to favor multi-layered, incredibly elaborate (even EXCESSIVELY elaborate a good deal of the time) plans to the direct approach in spite of his awesome physical power (just HAS TO prove he has a brain that can match his brawn, after all []). Despite his power and arrogance, Mechanikat almost always prefers leaving the dirty work to his highly skilled and cunning underlings, while he runs the show from the deep shadows.

Description: Looks like a fifteen-foot-tall, six-armed anthropomorphic robot cat with a dark silver body, golden eyes (with a bright red glow), shiny white artifical teeth (just for show because he doesn't have to eat, but still quite formidable) and dark blue robes.

Another A/U character to keep this going. Partially inspired by the fact that it IS getting close to Halloween.

    Name: Empress (Princess's KWLS-verse counterpart)

    Species: Cat (female)

    Home Universe: KWLS

Abilities: All standard cat abilities, plus a definite measure of skill in the use of sorcery. While not all-powerful by ANY stretch of the imagination, she CAN project strong mystic bolts from her front paws, levitate items weighing up to six tons with supreme effort, communicate telepathically with others within a range of 100 yards, teleport herself and up to three others up to four miles at a time, heal others from any illness or injury SHORT OF actual death with a touch or change up to six tons worth of inanimate material into other forms (as long as it's either something that weighs the same as the material or is a multitude of materials that, collectively, amount to the same weight [also, she can't change something into a weapon unless she knows the inner workings of the weapon herself]). Of course, her spells are limited by how well she can concentrate and the bigger feats obviously take more concentration than the minor ones.

Background: A royal cat from Katalia, a far-off kingdom where the royals have, at least in the KWLS-verse, all long been practicing sorcerers and sorceresses (most of them, thankfully, have been rather benevolent and responsible about the use of their magical powers [and the royals' mystic backgrounds was kept a secret from all but the Katalian high council AND a select number of extremely determined underworld researchers]), Empress had been schooled in the mystic arts as well as royal manners since she was a kitten. She first met Lightning the Supercat and Star the Batmanx and their respective sidekicks, Krypto and Robby, when the four animal heroes were investigating the rumor of Isis attempting to steal the Katalian royal gems (both priceless AND mystical [though the super-hero animals didn't know about the latter at THAT point]) during the royal family's visit to Metropolis.

After warning Empress of Isis's suspected scheme, Lightning and Star volunteered to stay on the ship to help guard the jewels while Krypto and Robby scoured the city for further leads. Empress offered to help with the guard duty too, but Lightning and Star both politely declined the offer until Empress performed a controlled display of mystic power to convince them that she could more than handle herself (Lightning and Star didn't know about the Katalian royals' background in sorcery; they just knew the gems were priceless). While the three cats waited for either Isis to make her move or for Robby and Krypto to return from their information gathering detail, Lightning and Empress passed the time with polite conversation discussing the differences between Metropolis and Katalia. Eventually, the conversation stayed polite, but kept getting gradually more personal. At one point of the conversation, Isis; equipped with a "ghost power" talisman that gave her the powers of invisibility, intangibility and limited telekinesis and aided by a gang of trained cat mercenaries; finally made her move just as Robby and Krypto returned.

By means of a carefully timed two-building dock fire, Isis provided an ideal distraction to keep Lightning and Krypto busy while the cat mercenaries distracted Star and Robby. Isis then started toward the gems, but Empress was able to sense Isis's presence despite her invisibility and use her own magic powers to keep Isis busy long enough for Lightning, Krypto, Star and Robby to be freed up to help nab her. Eventually, the friendship Lightning and Empress developed during their friendly guard duty chat ended up developing into a full-blown long distance romance (though that took a few months), but that's another story. Also, while not a full member of the JSAnimals, she DOES operate as the team's primary mystic consultant.

Personality: Well-mannered, but stubborn and highly intutive, which makes sense given her mystical background; Serious, disciplined and responsible, but still has a pretty good sense of humor deep down; Fiercely loyal pet to the Katalian royals and equally loyal to her friends (especially Lightning).

Description: Much like Princess, but the birthmark on her forehead is golden yellow instead of black and her collar is studded with black obsidian gemstones.

    Stan and Ollie

    Home Universe : KWLS

Personalities: Much like Bud and Lou, only more twisted and dangerous. There's nothing they enjoy more than a dangerous practical joke, especially if someone is injured. The two are treacherous but very loyal to their master, the Joker.

Appearance: Stan is thin and speaks in a nasally voice. Ollie is rotund and has a deep, raspy tone to his voice. They are the same color as the Krytpo-verse hyenas.

The KWLS versions of the Joker's hyenas are smiliar to their Krypto-verse counterparts, Bud and Lou, but with a few differences.
Basically, they are equipped with a more dangerous arsenal of twisted practical joke and novelty toys, including some that can pose a danger even to Lightning and Krypto if they are caught unaware.
They have been known to carry electrocuting joy buzzers, acid-squirting flowers and poison gas-emitting whoopee cushions.
Fighting the hyenas on board a ship to foil their dog food smuggling plot, Krypto fell victim to their exploding lead-lined Jack-in-box, which was in reality a cannon, the unexpected flying cannonball knocked him off the ship and into the water, where the chubby canine struggled to stay afloat before recovering enough to fly back to resume the battle. Krypto was then nearly done in by their magnetized food dish, which was baited with kibbles (with metallic particles inside) and once turned on, covered his mouth, the superdog having to resort to his super breath to remove the dish from his snout (he then disposed of the dish with another powerful blast of super-breath). The superheroes also have to beware of clown dolls with razor-sharp fingernails, Kryptonite chewing gum and children's 'fun lights' that shoot overpowering red-sun rays.

The two villains first fought Lightning and Star as a team when they planned to steal the proceeds from a Gotham City cat show. The supercat and Batmanx confronted the two and had them cornered when they found themselves trapped on a giant magnetized mouse toy that was rocketed into the sky headed for outer space. Lightning tried to disable the device with his heat vision, but found the mechanism had been designed to be heat-resistant. Fortunately, Star was just barely able to reach his utility collar with his teeth. He was able to reach one button on a sonic weapon that created a powerful sound blast at a frequency so high it destroyed the device. Lightning then quickly grabbed the giant mouse and used it to pounce on the two hyenas, who were then easily captured.
Despite their past failures, the two hyenas continue to pose a threat to the KWLS heroes.

Highly intriguing stuff, catfan1. And thanks for making that correction I spotted. Now, I hope you don't mind me drawing some inspiration from your idea.

Name: Apollo (Ignatius's KWLS universe counterpart)

    Species: Iguana

    Home Universe: KWLS

Abilities/Equipment: Apollo, much like his master, Lex Luthor, has a very high level of scientific skill and is an expert at designing and building all manner of super-scientific equipment for his own use as well as, for a semi-fair fee, for the use of some of the other villains in the KWLS universe. In fact, that electromagnetic giant mouse toy that Stan and Ollie used to trap Lightning and Star... it was Apollo's modifications that made SURE that, not only was the magnet was strong enough to hold Lightning, but also that the mouse toy was made out of materials that could resist Lightning's heat vision. In addition, Apollo is also a world class actor and an expert at covering his tracks. His equipment varies with his needs, but the iguana has most certainly (but very discreetly) both employed and sold various pieces of rather advanced weaponry.

Background: As the lovingly pampered, but surprisingly intelligent, pet of Superman's arch-enemy, Lex Luthor, Apollo had to admit he had a pretty good lot in life. Yet, the iguana's desire to be the top pet in Metropolis (mirroring his master's desire to always be on top) causes him to be forever frustrated by the super-animals Lightning and Krypto (or, as he likes to refer to them, the "goody-four-paws flying feline and his bowser blimp buddy").

The iguana's tried many times to get the better of the two heroes. The villain's attempts have been providing plenty of challenge for the super-animals on more than one ocassion. One example of this involved a growth ray that he aimed at an entire insect colony in order to make them big and powerful enough to defeat the two super-animals. Another example was a weather machine that he tried using to create a series of natural disasters in order to run the heroes ragged and leave them wide open for a truly devastating finishing blow courtesy of a storm of truly epic power.

Heck, Apollo once lured Lightning in a powerful wind tunnel using a nest full of innocent baby birds (which the supercat had to mentally remind himself WEREN'T dinner) as bait. Lightning escaped from the wind tunnel with the birds unharmed, but a single strand of fur (and the trace X-Kryptonite particles contained within) was pulled loose before he did, which provided the iguana's REAL objective.... enough genetic material to create a permanently powered clone of Lightning that would be completely under HIS control (this clone would come to be known as "Dark Lightning").

There is still another example when Apollo created a machine designed to drain off the power of all of Metropolis and convert it into energy for an electro cannon powerful enough to even electrocute Lightning and Krypto (somehow, a malfunction of this weapon caused Krypto to temporarily gain the power of invisibility). Apollo even once tried luring the heroes into a trap involving a chunk of self-created Kryptonite-Plus (twenty times more potent than standard Kryptonite [which is enough to allow it to harm even the X-Kryptonite enhanced Lightning, who is immune to conventional forms of Kryptonite]).

There was even an incident when Apollo briefly trapped Lightning and Krypto (along with their human owners Kevin and Andrea [who were exploring Lexcorp as a school paper assignement]) in the prehistoric past with the help of an experimental remote controlled time machine. The heroes were trapped in the past for over a month until the teamwork of all four of them was able to bring them back to their own time; just two minutes after they left, much to Apollo's chagrin. It was just a good thing Andrea remembered to discreetly bring in Lightning's chunk of X-Kryptonite in case something was unleashed that it would take Supercat and Superdog quite a while to deal with or in case she and Kevin needed to use the chunk themselves to become Supergirl and Superboy respectively.

Other times, Apollo's struck at the super-animals by means of equipment he's sold to other criminals. In fact, it was underworld rumors of somebody in Lexcorp selling weapons to the Batman rogues that ultimately led to the first team-up of Star and Lightning since Lightning naturally travelled to Gotham to investigate the rumors and ended up helping Star on the cat show case mentioned in the Stan and Ollie profile, particularly since the Joker was believed to be among those who was buying weapons from Lexcorp. Of course, the heroes found out the hard way that there was at least SOME truth to the rumors.

Though Lightning and Krypto always manage to best whatever Apollo can throw at them (albeit just barely at times and, even then, only with help sometimes), they can never seem to concretely prove the iguana's involvement as the slippery little reptile always sets his traps by remote control and is careful to make sure ALL the evidence points to recently fired ex-Lexcorp employees who had the needed skills to pull off the job. Of course, Lightning was also always able to keep the framed ex-employees from getting wrongfully convicted, even if not trace the capers directly back to Apollo.

Personality: Apollo is, needless to say, a lot more devious, slippery, inventive and dangerous than his Kryptoverse counterpart, but for all of his scheming, cunning, ego and deceit, the iguana IS pretty darn loyal to Lex. Obsessively hateful of both Lightning and Krypto, but knows he has to use brains rather than brawn to beat them, so he has learned to be strategic ABOUT his hatred.

Description: Much like Ignatius, but having golden yellow scales with a medium silver underbelly and light blue spots. He also isn't quite as plump as Ignatius either.

[QUOTE="Comickook"]Highly intriguing stuff, catfan1. The only thing I can see wrong with it is the timing of the matter. In the KWLS Robby origin as you wrote it, Star and Lightning were ALREADY going after Stan and Ollie as a team. Perhaps the sonic blast that freed Star and Lightning the first time they fought Stan and Ollie as a team could have come from a sonic device in Star's utility collar. Aside from THAT little nit pick, pretty good. Now, I hope you don't mind me drawing some inspiration from your idea.

Good point and my face is red! I'll make some adjustments to keep it in continuity. Thanks for keeping me honest. :>

Also, some interesting ideas in your Apollo profile, looks like he could actually be a pretty effective bad guy.

Here's one I've put off for too long already.

Names: Andrea Sussman (aka Supergirl) and Kevin Whitney (aka Superboy) Species: Humans (female and male)

    Home Universe: KWLS

Abilities/Equipment: Andrea and Kevin are both quick-witted and resourceful children who also happen to be accomplished athletes and actors for their ages (Andrea and Kevin have, much more than once, proven invaulable aids in helping their respective cat and dog, Lightning and Krypto, keep their identities as Supercat and Superdog secret from most humans and frequently assist their pets in other ways [most of the time behind the scenes, but there have been a few adventures that have required them to help out in a more direct manner]). Andrea, however, is the more natural leader of the two and a slightly better actress (though Kevin is better with computers).

Andrea and Kevin also makes occasional use of Lightning's chunk of X-Kryptonite themselves to become Supergirl and Superboy. When Andrea and Kevin are empowered by the X-Kryptonite, they both have all the powers of Superman, but on a reduced scale (they are, individually, as much less powerful than Superman as a non-super-powered nine-to-ten-year-old child would realistically be than a non-super-powered full adult). Of course, due to the fact that their powers come from the effects of the X-Kryptonite, they DO have the benefit of, like Lightning and UNlike Superman and Krypto, being immune to most forms of Kryptonite (except for Kryptonite-Plus, the extra potent variety of Kryptonite created by Lightning and Krypto's arch-enemy Apollo) as well as red sun radiation (though, also like Lightning, heavy gravity and magic still number among their weaknesses [but that's just common sense] and their powers only last for 24 hours at a time).

On top of that, their Supergirl and Superboy costumes have been treated with a special formula that renders them bulletproof, acidproof and highly resistant to temperature extremes. Like Superman, both youths have intergalactic communicators that allow them to understand and speak virtually any spoken language (this allows them to understand what their pets are trying to tell them).

Background: The respective owners of Lightning (aka Supercat) and Krypto (aka Superdog), Andrea and Kevin are two of the very few humans aside from Superman who has been entrusted with their pets' dual identities and despite their frequent concerns for their pets' safety, know full well that what Lightning and Krypto do is very important to a lot of people and animals, not just in Metropolis, but across their world and even beyond THAT.

The two started out assisting Lightning and Krypto behind the scenes almost immediately after Lightning began his career as Supercat, even helping him and Krypto prepare the complex array of tunnels allowing them to enter and exit their homes without being seen AND design the underground complex that Lightning uses to monitor most of Metropolis (though Superman and a visiting Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash and Green Lantern did the actual building).

Andrea and Kevin began operating more directly (with super-heroic identities of their own) when a series of freak storms started stirring up trouble all over the city; courtesy of Appollo's remote controlled weather machine. The storms were a bit much for even their super-powered pets AND Superman to handle alone, so Andrea and Kevin made use of Lightning's chunk of X-Kryptonite to give themselves temporary super-powers, and Andrea and Kevin began operating as Supergirl and Superboy respectively. While Supergirl focused her efforts on helping Supercat and Superman minimize the more direct damage done by the storms, Superboy and Superdog looked for the cause to the trouble. Though the mission was difficult, the five heroes ultimately emerged victorious.

Despite Lightning and Krypto's highly vocalized concerns for Andrea and Kevin's safety, the two youths still continue operating as Supergirl and Superboy when the need is obvious. And, on occasions when Andrea and Kevin have a school newspaper assignment where Supercat's (and sometimes Supergirl and Superboy's) help might very well be needed, Andrea often carries the X-Kryptonite that gives her, Kevin and Lightning their powers within very easy reach. In fact, it was this practice that allowed Lightning, her and Kevin to maintain their super-powers during a period when a remote controlled Lexcorp time machine trapped them and Krypto in the prehistoric past for six weeks (though they ultimately returned just two minutes after they left).

Personalities: Both Andrea and Kevin are very loving owners to their respective pets and are extremely supportive of their efforts as Supercat and Superdog despite heavy concerns for their safety. Though they trust their pets' teamwork to be able to handle a lot, and, thus, keep their assistance behind the scenes most of the time, Andrea and Kevin are both strong-willed, courageous and clever youths whose support of their pets' efforts even extends to lending a helping hand in more direct manners as necessary.

Andrea is the somewhat quicker-witted, more natural leader and better thespian of the two (as aforementioned), but Kevin's wits aren't to be sold short either.

In addition to their concerns about the danger level of their pets' line of work, Kevin also has extra worry for Krypto concerning his weight problem. Though he loves his pet very much despite his flaws, he HAS tried to (unsuccessfully) get Krypto to go on a diet more than once out of concern for his dog's personal health. In fact, there are times when Kevin uses the Superboy costume and an exposure to the X-Kryptonite to try to get Krypto of go out for recreational exercise flights (enhancing himself with the X-Kryptonite because he KNOWS full well that he'd need his super-powers to be able to drag Krypto out when he didn't want to go out and wearing his Superboy costume because he prefers not to blow his, Andrea and their pets' cover by using his powers out of costume if he can help it).

Descriptions: Virtually identical to the Kryptoverse Andrea and Kevin except for their Supergirl and Superboy costumes. Both wear pretty much smaller-sized versions of the classic Superman costume, but with reversed colors (red where blue on Superman's and blue where red on Superman's) and also having blue gloves and red Lone Ranger-style masks added to the attire. Also, Andrea wears a blonde wig as Supergirl and Kevin wears a black wig as Superboy.

    Bull Dog

Species: Alien Bull Dog (genes spliced with those of an actual bull)

Appearance: In his normal form, much like the Krypto-verse Bull Dog, except he usually wears a grey uniform and blue gloves with mechanical opposeable thumbs.

    Universe: KWLS

Bull Dog aka Lord Colin Bolston is a member of the Sirius Patrol, the KWLS version of the Dog Star Patrol.

Bull Dog is very intelligent and quite well-educated, even a little snobbish in his attitudes and occasionally a bit condescending to Tail Tabby and Snow Shoe, but he has gradually become more accepting of them. He speaks with an upper class British accent, a result of his very upper-class royal upbringing. He is capable of being stubborn and hard-headed and has a bit of a temper but it is usually well under control and despite having a short fuse he does not take disagreements with his teammates personally. He is quick to think and act in an emergency situation but with his stubbornness is extremely reluctant to admit mistakes or change course until forced to do so. His intelligence and royal background make him the perfect choice to represent the Sirius Patrol at meetings of the Interplanetary Council, the organization that was instrumental in the formation of the Patrol.

Abilities: Bull Dog is an alien bull dog, but can transform into a creature much larger than an ordinary bull dog, almost as large as an actual bull. Like his Krypto-verse counterpart, he can sprout super-hard bull horns. Also, his hide is extremely hard and resistant to attack, and he has the strength of about 20 dogs his size. He is surprisingly nimble, is a skilled combatant and an above average tactician.

With his strength and attack-resistant hide, Bull Dog provides much of the brawn for the team but he is also a driving force in the management of the team and was instrumental in the founding of the Sirius Patrol. Because of his status and experience in interplanetary government, Bull Dog is also involved in decision-making under the guidance of the group's leader, Brainy Barker.

Lord Bolston began life on the planet New Britanian as a a member of a privileged royal family the cousin of his planet's king. He lived a carefree playboy's life until as a young adult he began to notice the corruption of the royal rulers. He appealed to his relatives, including the king, to do something to make life easier for their subjects but was rebuffed. Soon the planet's subjects revolted, and with the support of the planet's army, the royals were overthrown. As revenge, the royal family members were imprisoned, in some cases tortured and used as guinea pigs for experiments. Bolston was subjected to an experiment in which his genes were spliced with those of a bull and was then subjected to a variety of new drugs. Kept imprisoned and held by steel retainers, Bolston would change uncontrollably into the form of a half-bull-half-bulldog with super-strength. Finally, with the help of rebels he escaped and helped overthrow the new government which had become as bad as the former royal rulers. He learned to control the powers and was offered a leading role in the government, but declined, and also gave up his seat in the Chamber of Lords. Instead, Bolston accepted an invitation to join the governing board of the Interplanetary Defense Council (IDC), an organization formed by a group of planets to defend themselves against Mechanikat and the Cat Crime Cartel.

When Mechanikat brazenly attacked a Defense Council meeting, Bull Dog and fellow Council member Brainy Barker decided additional measures were needed to battle evil in the galaxy and formed the Sirius Patrol, using Brainy Barker's high level contacts with major planetary governments. Hoping to atone for his family's past misdeeds, Bolston, who had regained access to much of his family's vast fortune, helped fund the patrol. Together with Barker he recruited the original members of the Patrol and in their first encounter they forced Mechanikat to retreat from the borders of the IDC, although he remains an ever-present danger outside its borders.
More information on the origin of the Patrol will be included in profiles for the next Patrol members.

Not too shabby at that, catfan1. Here's one I'm surprised I didn't think of earlier.

Names: Archibald, Griffin and Tuxedo (the KWLS-verse versions of Artie, Griff and Waddles)

Species: Puffin, Condor and Penguin respectively (all male)

    Home Universe: KWLS-verse

Abilities/Equipment: All three have all the standard abilities of their species with above-average fighting skills thrown in too, but thanks to some mutagen-laced birdseed provided by Apollo during one of his dealings with the Penguin (another of the Batman rogues the lizard was secretly selling weapons and equipment to), all three also developed limited super-powers.

Archibald, for example, possesses a super-genius intellect (including a natural knack for super-science and strategic thinking), telekinetic powers (enough to levitate a maximum of 1500 pounds with supreme effort [which, mixed with his super-genius intellect, is still usually plenty to build some pretty formidable weapons]), range of wing-touch telepathy with up to two others at a time and a full psychic awareness of his entire immediate surroundings (within a range of about 50 yards).

Griffin possesses the physical strength and speed of 60 ordinary condors his size plus a super-fast-acting regenerative self-healing power and the ability to shoot powerful blasts of compressed wind from his wings

Tuxedo possesses the powers of limited water control within a range of 50 yards, limited cryokinesis (the ability to generate ice by mere thought), the ability to teleport himself and up to two others within a range of 200 yards at a time and the ability to fling orbs of concentrated energy from his flippers.

The birds' equipment varies with each scheme; dependent on their needs; but they HAVE made use of such things as freeze gas dice, heavily armed giant robot birds and a power-stealing machine.

Background: Once ordinary birds trained by the Penguin to assist him in his crimes, Archibald, Griffin and Tuxedo were forever altered after their foul master made a secret deal with Apollo (who was speaking via specially built communicator) to be provided with all manner of weapons and equipment that should be invaluable aids against Batman, Robin and Batmanx (this was before Robby signed on with Star) in exchange for their help in combatting Superman, Supercat and Superdog. The deal also provided Penguin with some mutagen laced birdseed (though Apollo didn't tell Penguin it was mutagen laced; the reptile merely said it was ""quality bird seed'") for his bird gang, which transformed the awful avians into super-powered criminals.

Shortly after they received and mastered their powers, the villains had their first battle with Star the Batmanx, Lightning the Supercat and Krypto the Superdog as a team when the trio was investigating a series of robberies committed by the birds. The three heroes confronted the bird criminals at a Metropolis museum when they were trying to rob a display of priceless gems and the heroes and villains paired off. While Star took on Archibald and Lightning combatted Griffin, Krypto tried to stop Tuxedo from getting away with the jewels, only to be stymied by the super-penguin's rapid teleporting and energy orb attacks. To make things worse, Just when the super-dog finally started to get the upper hand and actually had Tuxedo cornered, he got too close to a chunk of Red Kryptonite that was in the loot sack and the chunk robbed Krypto of his powers. Lightning (who is, thankfully, immune to Red Kryptonite) broke off his fight with Griffin to save the powerless Krypto from Tuxedo's energy orb attack, which caused the birds just the diversion they needed to escape. Lightning attempted to give Krypto temporary super-powers with his chunk of X-Kryptonite to tide him over until the Red Kryptonite wore off, but that didn't work because Krypto was still Kryptonian, even without his powers at present. Thus, Star decided to try to equip Krypto with his own bat-collar. As Star tried in vain to teach Krypto how to use the bat-gear, Lightning saw an alarm sounding and decided to investigate on his own since Star had other matters to attend to.

The supercat put up a good fight against all three of the villainous birds and even came close to beating them, but a combined lucky energy orb shot from Tuxedo and air blast from Griffin ended up sudbuing him before he could finish the job. Fortunately, before getting subdued, Lightning was able to get off an S.O.S. to Star to show up and help out. Krypto followed out of concern for Lightning, though he still hadn't mastered the bat-gear. Though the canine's blundering very nearly got Star captured too, the Red Kryptonite wore off JUST IN TIME for him to kayo Archibald and Tuxedo with a blast of super-breath (he got the overconfident Archibald with the blast at the exact moment his powers came back and the puffin went flying into Tuxedo hard enough to kayo BOTH of them). Lightning, who would still have his powers for another two hours thanks to the fact that he was exposed to the X-Kryptonite at the same time he tried it on Krypto, then took advantage of the distraction Star and Krypto were providing to make short work of the preoccupied Griffin.

Despite this defeat, the super-bird criminals would continue to plague Lightning, Krypto and Star (along with, later on, Robby) several more times. They even ended up developing something of a rivalry with the Downtown Destroyer Dogs (though their hatred of Supercat and Batmanx is enough stronger than their hatred of the mutant dogs to occasionally convince the birds to ally with the canines against their mutual enemies).

One occasion when the birds came especially close to defeating Star, Lightning, Krypto and Robby was when a power-stealer device developed by Archibald caused Krypto's powers to be transferred to Tuxedo, meaning that Lightning, Star and Robby now had to face the birds with one of their number having Kryptonian powers on top of the ones he already had. Well, Krypto too, since, by this point, the dog HAD mastered the bat-gear Star gave him the first time he lost his super-powers (which Star allowed Krypto to keep even after his powers came back in the hope that, indeed, he WOULD learn to master the gear in the event he ever lost his powers again). Even so, the battle was an incredibly rough one until Krypto unleashed a chunk of Kryptonite on Tuxedo (the one benefit to not having his powers was that Krypto presently didn't have his weakness to Kryptonite either), and left him wide open to be subdued by Robby's sonic power. After they defeated Archibald and Griffin, Star and Lightning figured out the power-stealer device enough to return Krypto's powers to him while leaving the powers Tuxedo had to begin with in the super-penguin (for the simple reason that Lightning correctly felt that Krypto could barely handle the power he normally had, much less any more than that).

Personality: All three birds are very cunning, quite united in their hatred of their sworn enemies and typically speak in well-educated manners.

Archibald is, obviously, the smartest of the three birds and a natural born leader to the other two. Though a little on the tempermental side when a plan or device doesn't work quite right, he DOES usually have a pretty good level of control over said anger.

Griffin is the most natural and agressive fighter of the three and speaks in a manner that, though well-educated sounding, also correctly reflects his tough bird attitude.

Tuxedo is the stealth entry and hit-and-run-tactics expert of the three birds and probably has the most twisted sense of humor of the three.

Griffin and Tuxedo are typically okay with having to take orders from Archibald, but they both know how to think for themselves without being disloyal if push comes to shove.

Description: Pretty similar to their Kryptoverse counterparts except that Archibald's forehead is slightly more enlarged than Artie's, Griffin is about three inches taller than Griff and has dark blue feathers instead of purple and Tuxedo typically wears a black collar with an attached bowtie-style tag instead of the scarf and hat that Waddles wears.

Two more members of the Sirius Patrol

    Home universe: KWLS

    Rayna Balor aka Micro Mutt

    Species: Alien St. Bernard

Abilities: Can decrease in size at will while increasing her body mass, allowing her to deliver formidable blows even at a small size.

Personality: She has a playful sense of humor and enjoys playing jokes on the easily irritated Macro Mutt. (Both have healthy egos and don't like having their ideas questioned). But when it's time to work on new gadgets or come to the aid of her fellow Patrol members, she's all business.

    Desser Cento aka Macro Mutt

    Species: alien chihuahua

Abilities: Can increase his body size and mass to (with great effort) roughly the size of a large horse. He can also disproportionately increase his body strength to that of 10 large dogs, making him very formidable in battle.

Personality: Overly serious, intense and easily offended, especially by cracks about his normal size, which is small even for a chihuahua. He does lighten up a little after his first few months as a Patrol member. Like Micro Mutt, he is quick to the aid of his teammates, even when he is upset with them.

Both wear matching yellow and blue uniforms made of flexible material specially designed to expand and shrink as their bodies change in size.

Their origin: Rayna was a physicist working on weapons concepts for the Intergalactic Defense Council when she stumbled on the secret of miniaturization in the form of a chunk of white star matter. Unfortunately everything she miniaturized blew up. But after accidentally turning the ray on herself she found she could shrink herself with no ill effects. She then used the matter to fashion a lens she wore on a belt allowing her to shrink but still retain her body weight. After a series of tests she was ready to show her work to the council.
But to her dismay she arrived to find that her greatest rival, physicist Desser Cento was also invited to display technology that was amazingly similar to her invention except that instead of reducing, it increased the small dog's size and body mass. The two scowled at each other and soon began furiously arguing the merits of their findings (Desser displaying his paranoia by accusing Rayna of only creating the shrinking device to make fun of his diminutive stature) but before any demonstration could begin the council room was filled with explosions as Mechanikat brazenly attacked the meeting to try to steal the technology. When the smoke cleared the two dog researchers were nowhere to be found. They were believed dead and the universe mourned the loss of two scientific geniuses.
It later turned out Rayna had been miniaturized in the confusion and Desser was buried under rubble but not seriously hurt. Rayna rescued Desser and they somehow managed to make their way to the the quarters of Brainy Barker (arguing all the way) where Rayna began to regain her normal size. With the help of Brainy's friend and fellow IDS member Bull Dog, they were able to reconstruct the shrinking ray. Rayna found she could now decrease in size at will while Desser could enlarge himself at will, using their respective devices. A side effect of the prolonged exposure to the star matter allowed them both to safely shrink and enlarge. But they were still unable to duplicate the same effect in other objects without causing them to eventually explode.
As the battle with Mechanikat raged on outside, Brainy Barker had an idea. She suggested that they pool their resources and work together as a team to defeat Mechanikat who was continuing his attack on the IDC headquarters and had nearly destroyed the complex's last remaining shield. Bull Dog's space craft and weaponry, along with Rayna's shrinking ray played a crucial role in defeating Mechanikat's attacking army (before the only functioning copy of the shrinking ray was destroyed in battle), the malfunctioning ray causing much of his weaponry and robotic cats to shrink and then explode. After a long, hard-fought battle, Bull Dog, Macro Mutt and Micro Mutt routed the rest of the invading army with the help of IDC forces and Mechanikat was finally forced to retreat, although he would remain the Patrol's most powerful opponent.
After their first success in battle, the four decided to remain together as a team and to recruit more members. Macro Mutt and Micro Mutt agreed to serve as the group's resident scientific and technical gadget specialists, a job both managed to perform well despite the tension and competitiveness between them. After working together as fellow patrol members they eventually developed a mutual respect and (platonic) friendship but were still known to argue furiously at times, especially over scientific research issues.

Nice job on your latest profiles, catfan1. As you know, I had this one in mind for a while for the Sirius Patrol, but figured on giving you a chance to field a good portion of the group's origin before I put him in. Well, now.

Character Name: Alexx'n'darr Moolarr aka Twinblades (the KWLS-verse counterpart to Tusky Husky).

    Species: Alien Sabertooth tiger

    Home Universe: KWLS-verse.

Abilities/equipment: In addition to his population's standard abilities of suprising quickness and agility for their size (in fact, he is actually four times quicker and more agile than most of the rest of his race) and two super-hard saberlike teeth (in fact, the teeth of his race are literally the hardest substance in the universe) that can be used as picks or drills, Twinblades has also learned how to fire strong (but not excessively so) energy blasts from his saberlike teeth, Twinblades also possesses a physical strength equal to that of a dozen Earth tigers his size (which is pretty good when you consider that, not only does he weigh in at 700 pounds [solid muscle, natch], but most inhabitants of his race only have the strength of THREE Earth tigers their size), so while he's not as strong as Lightning or Krypto or even Bull Dog at full size, Twinblades is still not to be sold short as far as muscle goes.

In addition, Twinblades is a highly trained and very capable detective (though not as good as Star the Batmanx), a master of several martial arts (which makes his considerable strength, speed and agility an even more formidable combination), a crack shot and, not surprisingly, an extremely accomplished swordscat.

In addition to his powers and skills, Twinblades also always carries a full supply of detective equipment, tear gas bombs and handcuffs made from an incredibly strong metal.

Background: Alexx'n'darr Moolarr of the planet Dumassa Tygarr was once one of the top police officers on his world; a planet whose dominant species were felines strongly resembling sabertooth tigers. Born with four times greater physical prowess than an ordinary member of his race and having learned the added ability to fire energy blasts from his two tusks in addition to all of his police training, Alexx'n'darr was a truly formidable lawcat when villainous felines in the employ of Mechanikat invaded his world. His populace fought back bravely and well, but still barely held their own despite their natural abilities until the founding four members of the newly formed Sirius Patrol arrived and joined the battle. With the help of these heroes, Alexx'n'darr's race emerged victorious... just barely.... and set Mechanikat's forces on the run. Brainy Barker explained the situation to Alexx'n'darr soon afterwards and, dedicated lawcat that he was, decided he had to accompany the Patrol to take the fight to the villain behind the attack and MAKE SURE the powerful villain didn't get another chance to endanger his world. Brainy, Bull Dog, Mini Mutt and Macro Mutt agreed to this, knowing they'd need recruits anyway and soon, this top cop ended up going by the codename of "Twinblades", having faithfully served the Sirius Patrol ever since then as their resident super-sleuth.

Personality: Extremely dedicated to making the universe a safer place to live for, not just the population of HIS world, but all other innocent beings throughout the universe. Highly intelligent and extremely intuitive, which is a natural given his detective skills, but also highly honorable and has been known to obsess over fighting as fair as the situation will allow. Extremely loyal to the Patrol and always puts a teammate or innocent in trouble ahead of anything else.... even the capture of Mechanikat himself. Speaks with a much more eloquent French accent than Tusky Husky's French-Canadian accent.

Description: Looks like a normal sabertooth tiger in most respects except for his light blue fur, his darker blue police officer's uniform and white gloves with mechanized opposable thumbs.

    Brainy Barker

    Home Universe: KWLS

Appearance: The leader of the Sirius Patrol, looks much like the Krypto-verse Brainy (without the white streak in her fur) only she is larger and more muscular, her cape is light blue.

Abilities: Brainy has telepathic abilities that allow her to read minds at close range, telekinetic powers she uses to operate the complicated controls of the Patrol space station and also monitor for enemy activity. She also has enhanced intelligence and the ability to create semi-solid objects out of pure psychic energy. She is an accomplished warrior with impressive fighting skills.

Personality: Usually a stern, serious commander who has to be firm to keep her team working together despite occasional personality conflicts. Her demeanor is more aggressive and less calm than that of her Krypto-verse counterpart but she is known for keeping a cool head in dangerous situations. With her unusually high intelligence level, she graduated at the top of the Interplanetary Military Academy and is well-connected with the major planetary leaders through her long diplomatic career. She is the undisputed leader of the team and operates the group's space station ably assisted by Bull Dog.

Brah' nee Bah'kehr comes from a distinguished family of military heroes and politicians on the planet Afbarghan. Her father was a distinguished general and later a highly respected diplomat. During a battle later in his career he was captured and forced to endure the probing of a Cat Crime Cartel brain attack. Earlier, General Bria'nee Bah'kehr had been exposed to radiation in battle and seemed to come through strangely unscathed, but somehow the scan activated something in Bah'kehr's brain and he realized he had unusual mental powers. He used the powers to read the minds of his captors and the information, along with his new telekinetic abilities, allowed him to escape. The powers were passed along to his daughter, who developed them to a far greater degree than her father ever had. Eventually, Brah'nee rose to the rank of general herself and earned the nickname “Brainy Barker,” for her mental powers, cunning battle strategy and quick wit. She later adopted the name as her Sirius Patrol identity. Following her military career, Brah'nee joined the Afbargham diplomatic corps, her main job being to recruit more planets to join the ongoing battle against Mechanikat. She was instrumental in the founding of the Interplanetary Defense Council, which organized the planets' military into one army, united against Mechanikat and the Cat Crime Cartel.

Brainy first met Bull Dog as a member of the Interplanetary Defense Council diplomatic team seeking to resume relations with his planet. Bull Dog aka Lord Colin Bolston agreed to serve as New Britanian's representative on the Council. When the Council nearly fell to an attack by Mechanikat's forces, Brainy, Bull Dog, Micro Mutt and Macro Mutt banded together to defeat them. As she began to organize the new team, Brainy decided to name it the Sirius Patrol, in honor of the planets around Sirius, including her home world of Afbarghan, that had been among the first to fight back against Mechanikat's quest for galactic domination. Brainy decided the Patrol would be more effective if it operated independently of the Council, without the additional bureaucracy and need to get approval from many governments before taking action, all items Brainy saw as weaknesses of the Council. The Patrol is loosely allied with the Defense Council, which shares its goals of ending tyranny in the galaxy. Funding comes from a number of high level supporters, leaders of various planets and wealthy donors, including Bull Dog.

Brainy is highly respected by the Sirius team members and by most planetary leaders. While her main job is to organize missions and run the ship, she is not adverse to leading the group in battle. While lacking the strength of teammates such as Bull Dog or Macro Mutt, armed with an assortment of blasters, mastery of many fighting skills, telekinesis and ability to generate semi-solid objects, she is quite formidable in battle.

Well done, catfan1. Now here's one for the Justice Society of Animals....

    Name: Hephesta the Wonder-Griffin

    Species: Griffin (female)

    Home Universe: KWLS-verse

Abilities/Equipment: Without her enchanted collar (forged by her namesake Hephestus, God of the Forge), Hephesta only possesses the abilities of an ordinary griffin (though that still translates into great physical strength, formidable reflexes, flying ability, razor sharp talons and highly acute eyesight). With her collar, however, she is ageless, her strength, reflexes, flying speed, stamina and senses are heightened ten thousandfold and she possesses the powers to breathe mystical fire and hypnotically compel anybody who looks into her eyes to tell the absolute truth about whatever she asks in addition to the fact that the collar also makes her invulnerable to any physical assault (mental and magical assaults, however, are another story). Her tiara is nearly indestructible and can double as a throwing weapon. In addition to her magically enhanced abilities, however, Hephesta is also, like many trained by the Amazons, a brilliant tactician and an incredibly skilled warrior who has mastered almost every known weapon AND every known form of unarmed combat.

Background: Hephesta started off life on Themiscarya (sp?) when her mother, badly injured in a fight with an evil sorcerer, arrived on the island to lay her egg. Thanks to the Amazons taking pity on the griffin, she was able to live on the island and hatch her egg in peace. Over that time, the elder female griffin came to be as a pet to Queen Hippolyta and her hatchling, likewise, ended up becoming a beloved pet to Hippolyta's young daughter, Diana and the two grew up together. Even when Diana won the right to represent the Amazons in Man's World, the griffin (whose obvious inner fire earned her the name Hephesta) wished to faithfully stay by her mistress's side, so Hippolyta arranged to have Hephesta's namesake forge her an enchanted collar that would give her daughter's pet the abilities to be that much better an aid to Diana in "Man's World". Armed with the powers of this collar combined with her fierce loyalty to Wonder Woman, incredible compassion for the downtroughten and combination of fearlessness and cleverness in battle, Hephesta quickly became one of the "Big Three" animal super-heroes of the KWLS-verse (along with Lightning the Supercat and Star the Batmanx) and a founding member of the Justice Society of Animals, a team she still faithfully sides with and considers all among her dearest friends.

Personality: Hephesta is an incredibly courageous and clever fighter, is completely loyal to her mistress Wonder Woman and is slow to trust strangers (especially male strangers), but she also has a very highly developed sense of honor and is incredibly compassionate toward an innocent in direct or impending danger. Also, once you earn her trust, she can actually be very friendly. She has a very high degree of geniune friendship and hero's/warrior's respect held in her heart for all of her JSAnimals colleagues (especially Star and Lightning), but she IS occasionally put off by Krypto's slacker attitude.

Description: Much like a regular griffin save for the golden crown-like tiara on her head and the silver collar around her neck covered with the symbols of the Greek gods and the attached Wonder Woman emblem tag.

    name: Kuto(really Krypto)

    home universe: TAWR(that actually worked)-verse

abilities: all the same as the normal-verse krypto, but is also a skilled martial-artist, and can see and comunicate with spirits.

Backgroud: This universe starts out like the normal one, exept for one little detail. Mechanikat's plan in "puppy problums" was sucsisful. He turned most of the dog stars into puppies, and left them on an uninhabited planet, Or at least he thought it was. The planet he left them on was a dog inhabited planet(their sociaty is alot like anceit china), and they(the dog stars) where supperated and regrown up.

Krypto(renamed Kuto) was founded and raised by monks, and was trained in supernatural arts. Though he grew up like alot of the pups at the temple, he couldn't help but feal that something was missing. He then went on a quest to find what it is.

personality: very kind nad optimistic, only fights if he has to.

discription: Like the original, but has six spots on his head(in two vertical lines like the shaolin), and wears a blue bead necklice with his S shaped tag.

I hope catfan1 doesn't mind me fielding this one and I profusely apologize in advance for any taken offense.

    Name: Isis (KWLS-version)

    Species: Siamese Cat

    Home Universe: KWLS-verse

Abilities: In addition to her lightning quick wits, good strategic skills and reflexes and agility that; while not super-feline; are still rather impressive by normal cat standards, Isis is also expertly trained in the arts of thievery and unarmed combat and  is capable of being quite seductive when she wants to be (this is especially apparent when she's around Star). She also has a measure of natural leadership skill, which makes sense considering Isis is in charge of Catwoman's cat gang. She also makes use of various mystic items she and Catwoman have stolen when she KNOWS she'll be pulling something in Metropolis that will probably involve her fighting Lightning and/or Krypto (such as the "Left Eye of Horus" [to give the heroes bad luck], the "Gauntlets of Ra" [to give herself illusion casting powers, super-strength and the ability to shoot powerful heat blasts from her front paws], a headdress of unknown origin that allowed her gravity and weather control powers or [as mentioned in the Empress profile] a "ghost power talisman" [to give herself the powers of invisibility, intangibility and telekinesis]).

Background: The leader of Catwoman's gang of trained thieving cats, Isis first met Star when the latter went undercover and infiltrated her gang to capture her. The disguised Star impressed her quite a bit and she developed a decided fondness for him; one that was mutual and, in both respects, lasted even AFTER she found out about his involvement with Batman. Granted, their strong mutual fondness hasn't kept Star and Isis from clashing on the job time and again, but it HAS made the clashes more flirtatious than hostile a good deal of the time.

The first time Isis faced Star and Lightning as a team was when she was making preparations for a caper in Metropolis with the help of "the Left Eye of Horus", which she used to cause BOTH heroes bad luck. However, once the two feline heroes figured out the source of their bad luck, they intercepted her at the museum just as she was trying to steal the "Right Eye of Horus" (a good luck charm). Lightning's super-speed got him to the "Right Eye" before Isis could reach it OR jinx him again, however. Lightning then gave the gem to Star and, with the two gems cancelling each other out, the two loving enemies were able to face each other on an even playing field, Star only winning after a very rough battle.

However, Isis has returned to plague both heroes and their sidekicks several times, usually with some powerful mystic trinket to help even the odds against the Metropolis-based super-animals. At least twice, however, the heroes bested her with the help of a mystically powered ally (in addition to the incident mentioned in the "Empress" profile, there is also at least one incident with the amateur sorceress Darcee). For all the hassles she gives them, however, she can never really bring herself to go all out against Star and, in fact, has even willingly allied herself with the heroes when she felt Star was in especially serious trouble (such as when Mechanikat's chief agents; Blue Shadow and Artemis; captured Star and Lightning in an ingenious trap and Isis joined forces with Krypto and Robby to track down and rescue the heroic cats or when Apollo assembled the Supercat/Batmanx Revenge Squad) .

Personality: Is much like the Isis of the Kryptoverse, except for being a lot more flirty with Star than her Kryptoverse counterpart is with Ace and she DOES have a subconscious block that prevents her from trying to really hurt Star when they fight (for example, when she was using the Left Eye of Horus, she always made absolutely sure that the bad luck she aimed at Star was only embarrassing and JUST bad enough to allow her to escape; NOT physically harmful to him). She won't back down against him, but she won't go ALL-OUT either (which is why she waited until Robby and Krypto returned before sending in the cat mercenaries she hired to decoy Star and Robby when she went for the Katalian royal jewels; she knew Star and Robby could easily handle the mercenaries as a team, but the mercanaries would still take the heroes long enough to deal with where she [thought she] would have a clear shot at the jewels). Her refusal to really hurt Star ALSO extends to Lightning to a more limited extent (simply because she knows Lightning is a pretty good friend of Star's).  In fact, it's because of the fact she doesn't really want to hurt Star that Isis refused to join the Supercat/Batmanx Revenge Squad when she was offered membership and, in fact sided WITH the heroes on this instance.

Description: Actually very near physically identical to the Kryptoverse Isis, save for her golden collar with an Egyptian-style diamond-and-emerald tag (a diamond cat infringed on the front of an emerald pyramid).

Just so everyone knows: No offense taken at all, Comickook. Nice job on the Isis profile. Now here's one I've been trying to get done for some time:

    Starhound (Connie, pet of Starman)

    Home universe: KWLS

Species: earth collie (female), colored brown and white. She wears a grey helmet and protective grey armor.

Abilities: She has no inherent powers, but with the aid of her thought-activated cosmic collar, she can generate stellar energy that can be used against enemies as energy blasts. The cosmic force defies gravity, allowing her to fly.

Personality:Extremely honest, down-to-earth, modest and courageous, she quickly overcomes her initial shyness to become a valued and well-liked member of the Justice Society of Animals.

Connie was adopted by a well-off family and became the pet of an astrophysicist/inventor in Opal City in the midwest. She watched daily as her owner, Jack Knight, worked on his latest inventions, eventually coming across a way to harness the power of the stars. As an experiment, he fitted his loyal dog with a collar and taught her to use the power, thinking perhaps she could serve as a guard dog. But criminal elements in the city also learned of the discovery and kidnapped the wealthy inventor for a huge ransom. Using the power of her collar, she rescued her owner, bringing him his cosmic rod, and together they defeated the kidnappers. Whle Knight took on the guise of Starman, she continued to patrol the city as Starhound and for awhile crime in the city dramatically decreased. But finally, elements of the Cat Crime Cartel, looking for new territory far from the troublesome Justice Society of Animals came to Opal City, thinking they could handle the city's sole animal hero, and began a crime spree. Connie herself was captured and kidnapped by cat criminals but managed to escape.
She decided she was in over her head and would need the help of the JSA. Not knowing how to proceed, she took off for the general area of their headquarters and began to fly nervously in circles to attract attention until she was intercepted by Krypto and Robby, who had been assigned to routine guard duty. Krypto seemed sympathetic to her story, but inside she found the major heroes, particularly Lightning the Supercat, intimidating and not particularly friendly. She finally grew irritated with Lightning's suspicious line of questioning until Powerhound, doing his best to put her at ease and believing her story (He sympathized with her plight, from his own experiences starting out as an actor and later as an off-screen hero) said he thought the group should go to Opal City, noting that crime had increased there and the criminal cats had been laying low on the East Coast. Lightning, Batmanx. Hephesta and Powerhound agreed to help and the heroes forced the CCC out of Opal City, with Starhound herself playing a crucial role in the victory, helping Lightning destroy a CCC force field with her stellar energy. Even Lightning admitted she had proved herself worthy of JSAnimals membership and she readily accepted the offer, even though she was still a bit overwhelmed by working with the major heroes.

She has become close friends with Powerhound who is impressed with her straightforward manner and courage, but she is still somewhat dazzled to be working with someone who is not only a bigtime hero but also a movie star. (Auxiliary JSA members Krypto and Robby have taken to teasing Powerhound about having a crush on her). In fact, she gets on well with most of her teammates. She is still a bit put off by Lightning's bluntness and authoritative manner but she greatly respects his sense of honor and leadership ability.

Connie is a distant cousin of the alien collies who will continue the Starhound name in the 23rd century in both the Krypto-verse and KWLS-verse.

Sorry, catfan1. I got a little inspiration and I couldn't resist putting this one down.

    Name: Rosie (KWLS version)

Species: Mixed breed dog (mutated; female)

    Home Universe: KWLS

Abilities: Back when she was a criminal, Rosie was an accomplished femme-fatale who could seduce virtually any male dog into cooperating with her (she proved to be one of the very few that could get Mental Muttsy to listen to somebody else on occasion [much to Beazlebolt and Bear's surprise {though, now that she's reformed, she's very rarely used this skill any more}]) and also learned to be a rather skilled street fighter. The female mutant dog possesses the abilities of limited range earth, water and air control (80 feet is her limit) as well as a limited range telepathic link with plants that allows her to control their movement (within reason) and speed up their growth rate, though, unlike the KWLS-verse Dogwood (more on him when I get around to it), her plant control powers only affect Earth-based plant life.

Background: A former ally of the Downtown Destroyer Dogs, Rosie was a fellow street dog with her own set of mutant powers and a self-taught skill for seducing male dogs. Born from two of eight escaped laboratory dogs that were being secretly experimented on by Lexcorp scientists in an effort to give them powers making them able to fight Superman, Rosie was the only survivor of that couple's litter and had gained powers over plant life, even extending to the elements of earth, air and water within a limited range. She met the only other surviving descendants of the other six dogs; the Downtown Destroyer Dogs; while they were breaking out of the kennel following one of their clashes with Supercat and Superdog. Using her mental link with plants and her control over the elements of earth and air, Rosie managed to kick up an extremely localized dust storm in front of the pursuing animal control officers that disoriented them long enough for her to make a set of nearby vines long enough and thick enough to block the exit hole the super-powered criminal canine trio made. Mental Muttsy was impressed by the female canine's abilities and invited her to ally with them. Rosie, growing up mostly by herself, was actually flattered enough to accept Mental Muttsy's offer at the time. Over her time allied with them, Rosie discovered the eerie similarities between the Downtown Destroyer Dogs' origins and her own and came to see them as the closest things to true friends that she had by that point. Of course, this all changed by the Downtown Destroyer Dogs' next encounter with Supercat and Superdog. Superdog temporarily lost his memory thanks to Red Kryptonite and Mental Muttsy, with some help from Rosie, managed to convince Superdog that he was a member of the gang. Over the time Krypto was a member of the gang, though, Rosie very gradually started feeling sympathetic toward Krypto, who was being even friendlier to her than most of the male dogs she's seduced and that sympathy even evolved into gratitude when Krypto saved her live twice. Ultimately, Krypto's friendship with Lightning and Kevin (aka Superboy [who, along with Andrea {aka Supergirl} insisted on helping Lightning out on this one]), which still subconsciously remained despite the super-dog's amnesia, ended up convincing Krypto to come to his senses before anybody got hurt, but the feelings Krypto and Rosie developed for one another still remained. Just before Lightning and Krypto defeated the Downtown Destroyer Dogs in a rough battle (Mental Muttsy and Beazlebolt tried to get the animal heroes [courtesy of one of the former's ray guns and the latter's natural energy porjecting abilities] while they were distracted with each other, but Supergirl and Superboy took the blast for their pets, and the fact their owners got hurt completely riled BOTH heroic super-animals), a conscience-stricken Rosie severed her ties with the other three mutant dogs and even employed subtle uses of her own powers to trip up the Downtown Destroyer Dogs just enough to give Lightning and Krypto the edge. After she worked for a while to help repair the damage she helped cause, Rosie was adopted by Kevin and Krypto's other next door neighbors, the Fritchs, and she and Krypto see each other as much when the latter is off the job as possible. In fact, Rosie has even actually helped out Lightning and Krypto on a couple of their tougher cases.

Personality: Even when she was a criminal, Rosie was more misguided and lonely than truly evil, which is what led to her eventual reform. An extremely charming mixed breed dog, she was, even back when she was a criminal, smart enough to know how to stay on the good side of the male dogs in charge. Now, Rosie is mostly a sweet, loving and compassionate dog, but she definitely knows how to be tough when she has to be, particularly concerning a lot of Lightning and Krypto's toughest enemies

Description: Looks a lot like the Kryptoverse Rosie except that her entire fur is rose red, save for her ears and belly; the fur around those areas is bright green.

Now, here's the file I promised on the KWLS-verse Dogwood.

    Name: Dogwood

    Species: Half-dog (unknown breed)/Half-plant

    Home Universe: KWLS

Abilities: Dogwood has the ability to change himself either completely or partially into a walking talking (by dog standards) version of any type of plant life (Earth-based [he has turned into a walking oak tree of cactus, for example] OR alien-based [for example he once caused his back and front paws to sprout living sets of Kryptonian creeper vines to fight Lightning and Krypto]) and has the ability to exercise complete mental control over all plant life (even that born on other worlds) as well as the elements of earth, air and water within his immediate area. He can also immensely accelerate the growth of all plant life (again, even that born on other worlds) within his immediate area and even has the added power of molecular regeneration. Dogwood's only known weaknesses are herbicides, temperature extremes and the fact that he needs to soak in regular amounts of fresh water and direct sunlight to maintain his power.

Background: Dogwood started off life as a normal street dog (what kind is unknown), but was abducted off the streets by a crew trying to get test animals for a team of scientists operating outside either Gotham City OR Metropolis (actually, these scientists were working for Lexcorp; they were just doing their experiments away from Metropolis to avoid the proverbal radar of Superman, Lightning and Krypto and away from Gotham to avoid THAT city's resident heroes). As a result of some plant samples stolen from one of Poison Ivy's laboratories AND alien plant samples discreetly provided by Lexcorps' main laboratories in Metropolis, Dogwood ended up gaining extremely formidable powers that can affect all manner of plant life from any world as well as the elements of earth, air and water and he could even heal from any seemingly any wound or injury at a highly accelerated rate. of course, Dogwood used these powers to escape and, his mind warped by the cruel experiments, began a vicious campaign to wipe out all those who would prey upon innocent animals and plants. The mutant dog's extremist vigilante tactics soon drew him to the attention of Lightning, Krypto, Star and Robby, who despite the canine mutant's formidable power, still managed to defeat him after a rough battle with their teamwork. Of course, this did nothing to soften the mutant plant-dog's obsession and, in fact, only gave him the impression that Lightning, Star and their sidekicks were in league with the very individuals he was trying to save the world from and, thus, had to be eliminated themselves. Thus, he all too eagerly signed on to become a member of the Supercat/Batmanx Revenge Squad, along with Stan and Ollie, Archibald, Griffin and Tuxedo, the Downtown Destroyer Dogs (who hated Supercat and Superdog enough to put aside their rivalry with the Penguin's super-birds in order to see their mutual enemies crushed), Dark Lightning, Artemis and (field leader) Blue Shadow (Isis was invited, but refused to join because she did NOT want to see Star get hurt [at least not critically]). Of course, even this assemblage of animal evil-doers couldn't quite cut it against the targetted heroes, who had the combined back-up of their Justice Society of Animals teammates, Rosie, Supergirl and Superboy, a visiting Empress and even Isis (who decided to ally herself with the heroes on THIS caper). At present all the members of the Supercat/Batmanx Revenge Squad (save for Blue Shadow and Artemis) are behind bars, but who knows how long THAT will last?

Personality: Fanatical about dishing out brutual punishment to much of the human race for their perceived sins against animals and plant life; Dogwood doesn't so much actually hate Lightning, Krypto, Star and Robby as much as he just sees them as an example of the "'if you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem'" credo and, as a result, sees them as well-intentioned but misguided and, unfortunately, unrelenting enemies that still have to, regrettably, be eliminated and, thus, he will still go all out in fights against them given a chance.

Description: Much like the Kryptoverse Dogwood except that every part of his fur in "normal" form is bright green.

Don't mind me, everybody. Just trying to keep this going long enough for somebody to think of another character to add.
