I looked at Wikipedia again and searched the term "kryptonite" and started to read the other Kryptonites other than Green, Red or Gold. My eyes spotted Purple Kryptonite, which was interesting, so I created a story that uses both Red and Purple Kryptonite.

    Kevin the Psychic Boy
(Takes place after Season 1 ends)

The day starts out as Krypto is off the shore in the Pacific Ocean with Duley as they are trying to control a crowd of confused fish. When they finally sort it out, Duley finds two pieces of kryptonite but doesn't know what it is, so he carries it until they are ashore.

When they get to the beach, Kevin is waiting there to ask Krypto a question, but before he asks, Duley interrupts by saying he found two pieces of minerals. One is Purple and one is Red. When Krypto gets near it, he starts glowing Purple and then Red. Suddenly, Kevin glows Purple. Krypto asks if anything happened and asks Kevin. Before Krypto asks Kevin says "I think so." but Krypto didn't say anything!

Some more study on Wikipedia shows that Purple Kryptonite gives Kryptonians psychic powers. They are puzzled to why Kevin got the power, and realize that Krypto was about to get the power, but Red Kryptonite transferred it to Kevin. Usually Red Kryptonite lasts 24 hours but Purple Kryptonite lasts 12-24 hours so it could vary in which it would ware off.

The next morning, Kevin still realizes he has the Purple Kryptonite powers. There is a pop quiz when Kevin goes to school. He forgot to study so he reads his teacher's mind for the answers, and when he takes the test he has no pencil. The pencil is missing. All of the sudden, he feels a pencil in his pocket. He grabs it and takes the test, where he later gets a 100% A+.

Yet later Mechanikat sees that Kevin has telepathic powers so he abducts Kevin and when Krypto can't find him, the Dog Stars says that Kevin is aboard Mechanikat's ship, being held hostage. The Dog Stars arrive in there, only to find that A) Mechanikat's spaceship looks really different (somebody come up with ideas for me?) and B) Kevin was forced to build a disintegrater to destroy all of the Dog Stars. They drag Mechanikat out of the room, only into his Arena Room to fight in his Kryptonite Suit. It weakens Krypto and defeats the Dog Stars 1, 2, 3. Mechanikat goes back up to his projects room of his spaceship just to find the Dog Stars (and Kevin) standing in front of him. Mechanikat asks how and Kevin explains that they were just temporary clones of the Dog Stars. When Mechanikat tries to find his disintegration ray, it's gone. Apparently Kevin lost the telepathy & materialization powers from the Purple Kryptonite.

Greetings all. I spoke with Casey last night and we have come up with the following story idea involving Streaky and our new villain, Frigia.

KRYPTO THE SUPERDOG IN: The Cold Shoulder Treatment

The story opens on a cool fall day in Metropolis. Streaky is on patrol while Krypto is on a mission with the Dog Stars. As Streaky is flying over town, he feels a very cold breeze coming from down below. He looks down and notices he is over the Lexcorp building and a man in a parka and a large dog are approaching the building. This is none other than Captain Cold and his pet malamute, Frigia. The guards order him to stop, but Cold presses a button on his wrist and two freeze guns come out of Frigia's collar. Cold pushes the button again and the guards are frozen solid. Cold and Frigia then walk into the building and make their way up to Lex Luthor's office, freezing everyone who gets in their way. Streaky contacts the JLA and they make their way to Lexcorp. Streaky lands and fills them in on what has happened and the animals make their way into the building.

Cold and Frigia are in Luthor's office discussing some "important matters" that Luthor finds interesting. Ignatius is staying in his tank because Frigia is giving him a very cold stare and licking her chops. "I don't think Iguana is on the menu today" Luthor tells Frigia, so she goes and lays down by her master. It seems that Luthor is interested in obtaining the mineral rights to the arctic and Cold is offering his assistance in getting them from the native tribes that still occupy the land.

Just then, the doors burst open and the JLA are standing there. Zipster sees Cold and warns his friends about Frigia and the freeze rays in her collar. Luthor informs them that "this is a private meeting and super animals are not welcome here at Lexcorp." Streaky informs Luthor that most of his building is in a deep freeze and Luthor just laughs. "Don't you think I know what's going on in my building?" Luthor replies, showing them the bank of TV monitors on the wall, "besides Mister Cold is one of my real estate agents and we are discussing some property acquisition. Now if you don't mind, LEAVE!" Luthor presses a button on his desk and the doors slam in their faces. Zipster says he's going to go back in there and give Luthor a piece of his mind, but Wanda says there is nothing that they can do. The animals leave the building but make plans to contact Krypto and the Dog Stars once they get back to the compound.

    --- break ---

The JLA return to the compound and are able to reach Krypto on the comlink. Krypto tells them that the Dog Stars are still about a day away from Earth and not to do anything until they get back. Ace and Wanda reluctantly agree saying that Luthor has every right to have whoever he wants in his office, but Ace starts thinking about Luthor's comment about buying property. Ace checks the Real Estate records and finds that Cold has purchased several thousand acres of land in the arctic (most of which is tribal land). Ace informs the JLA that he will need to run some tests on the land. Ace and Streaky head to a remote area of the property to drill for some samples. They arrive and are able to take samples and return to the compound and start testing them. The reports indicate that there are a number of precious minerals underground, including kryptonite. Streaky wonders why he was not affected if there was kryptonite there, but Ace tells him that because of the thick ice covering and traces of lead in the samples, that is what shielded the kryptonite from him.

With information in hand (er paw), Ace contacts Batman and informs him of their findings. Batman says he will contact some of his associates (including Clark Kent) and have them handle this. The following day, a front page story in the Daily Planet exposes the proposed land deal and Luthor is forced to call it off. Later that day, Krypto and the Dog Stars return to the compound and see the newspaper article. Krypto tells the JLA that they have done well and that he knows that the native tribes will be pleased to know that their land is more valuable than they think.

Great story Ladsone (and Casey). I'm going to write a recurring effect story on Krypto & Streaky from Red Kryptonite:

    Re-do!

School is out and it is the beginning of Summer. Krypto and Streaky have been fighting bad guys for awhile but it seems like they are fighting less criminals each day. They head over to a bank robbery, and stop the bad guys.

When they return to their houses, apparently a leftover chunk of Red Kryptonite fell from the sky and landed right in front of Krypto and Streaky. It affects them in one weird way: They can now talk to humans, but not to other animals.

Kevin heards a "thud" in the backyard and asks Krypto and Streaky what crashed. They reply with barking & meowing. Kevin asks, "Huh?" And they try to repeat it, only to be barking and meowing still. He takes off his communicator only to hear Krypto and Streaky talk. Kevin says that the Red Kryptonite must have temporarily made them talk to humans instead of animals.

After 24-48 hours, it stops, however they start glowing red again at their house and both Krypto and Streaky have a different effect: they kept sleeping until the Red Kryptonite wears off. Kevin contacts the JLA because for some reason the red kryptonite didn't quite wear off.

Yet another 24-48 hours go by and when they wake up, they start glowing red again and split into two... so now there are two krypto's and two streaky's. While the first krypto (who isn't in superdog form) and first streaky (who isn't in supercat form) are at Kevin's house trying to figure it out, the second krypto (in superdog form) & streaky (in supercat form) pair are on patrol.

Kevin just can't figure it out, and then calls over Bat-Hound to help him figure out why the Red Kryptonite won't stop working. After a few minutes they find spores of Red Kryptonite in Kevin's shoe and in Krypto's collar, because when the Red Kryptonite landed on their backyard, spores of it were placed in random areas.

At last, after a final 24-48 hours, they didn't have any more effects anymore. The sun sets, yet they don't know where the Red Kryptonite spores will be this time.

I'm enjoying everyone's ideas. Here's a Krypto story for the Halloween season, I imagine it in black and white myself. Thanks to Comickook for looking at this, making some additions and improvements to the action and suggesting the ending, it helped a lot.

Bud and Lou meet the Wolfdog

    A Krypto Halloween special

On a cold Halloween evening, the scene opens on Kevin's backyard. He and Krypto are dressed as pirates, “Captain Kevin and his Scurvy Dog” and are on their way to the party at Andrea's house next door. As they arrive, they are greeted by a miserable, visibly shaking Streaky. He hates Halloween, he explains. Look at all the kids dressed as ghosts and ghouls. How would you know if any of them turned out to be real? Streaky says he is checking out all the mysterious figures with his X-ray vision, just to be sure, and then it's back under the sofa for him. Kevin and Krypto look at each other and smile, amused by Streaky's paranoia.

From behind, a figure in a black dress and witch's hat enters. “There you are, Streaky-weeky,” Andrea says, picking up the rattled cat, who begins meowing in protest. Krypto tells Streaky it's OK, it's just Andrea. Streaky nervously replies that he knows but the Halloween costume she has planned for him is worse than meeting a real ghost. A few minutes later, Streaky returns dressed in his own miniature witch's costume. Krypto breaks up laughing and asks if Streaky plans to cast a spell on him. Streaky angrily replies that if he could, Krypto would be small, green and amphibious already, adding Krypto is lucky that mystical transformation is one super-power he DOESN'T have.

Krypto leaves when the party moves inside and Streaky, who was able to slip away, is eager to go on patrol with Krypto for once. But inside Krypto's spaceship they get word that Bathound needs them in Gotham City. The Joker's hyenas have something ominous planned for Halloween, but Ace doesn't know what it is. All is quiet in Metropolis so the two heroes head for Gotham.

They are to meet Ace at an old mansion outside Gotham City. Ace is nowhere to be seen, so the heroes enter without him.

They are greeted by Bud and Lou who are dressed in odd Halloween costumes. Bud, wearing a black cape, fangs and a baseball cap, is clutching a bat in his teeth. Lou is wearing a Hot Dog mask and holding a container of root beer. Lou says Bud is a bat boy and he is a frank and stein. “Frankfurter, hot dog, get it?” Lou asks. Krypto and Streaky groan in unison. Lou spits out the bat and points to the stein, “who's on thirst?” he asks. Streaky really moans at that one.

Krypto tells them enough with the awful puns and to come along quietly. Lou replies that they'd love to but they have a little surprise for Krypto, and, he adds, it may be the greatest Halloween prank ever. Krypto firmly tells Lou that's enough, but as he approaches the hyenas he begins to feel weak. Bud pulls out a hypodermic needle, the end coated with the unmistakable green of Kryptonite and quickly injects the contents into the super-dog.

Streaky is unable to get near because the Kryptonite would weaken him also, but he tries destroying the needle with his heat vision from a safe distance before Krypto is injected. Unfortunately, the hyenas thought to make the needle out of heat resistant materials. And the injection happens so fast that Streaky's attempt to blow the hyenas and their needle away with his super-breath is just a split-second too late.

Thunder pierces the quiet night and the lightning flashes in the air overhead as a strange transformation takes place. Krypto is seen in silhouette form as he grows larger and develops a more prominent snout. When Krypto is seen again his fur has taken on a silver tinge and he has been transformed into a supernatural wolfdog. He throws back his head and howls at the moon.

Streaky gasps, “Krypto no!” The combined laughter of the two hyenas; just recovered from Streaky's super-breath blast; fills the room as Streaky reflects that, with his Halloween phobia, he was bound to run into something like this sooner or later.

Bud explains that their boss, the Joker, picked up the werewolf formula from a source in the far east for a pretty penny as Lou walks over to the super-wolfdog and points to Streaky. “Krypto, look at the nice cat chew toy,” he says.

Krypto walks menacingly toward Streaky as the hyenas laugh. The scene shifts back and forth between the laughing hyenas and the growling wolfdog as he draws closer, then just as he reaches the frozen-with-fear Streaky, Krypto suddenly does a 180-degree turn and attacks Bud and Lou. They are thrown in a heap in the corner.

Bud says he'll show the wolf-mutt and takes out a stick and tells Krypto to catch it and throws it out the window. Krypto flies after the stick and brings it back in. Bud says “Uh oh.”

Then Krypto throws the stick out the window. The hyenas gulp as Krypto throws them out after the stick and they land in a dumpster where Lou tells Bud his mistake was that he forgot Krypto could fly. Krypto looks out the window and snickers (ala Muttley) and then turns his attention again toward Streaky.

Streaky finally forces himself to take off just as the snarling Krypto is upon him. The super-cat flies out the open window, calling “Aaaaaace, haaaaalp!” He sets down and nervously walks around the corner and into a huge dog. “Aaaahhhh!” Streaky screams as Bathound looks down at him and asks, what in the world is going on?

Streaky tries to answer but is frightened into incoherency. “Krypto, wolf, hyenas, big teeth, chew toy!” After willing himself relatively calm with great effort, he finally explains what happened and tells Ace they'll find Krypto in the house across the street from them. Ace, explaining he was late because he had to deal with an unexpected crime, eyes Streaky doubtfully, but agrees to check it out.

But before they take a step, Streaky sees a silver wolf walking toward them and begins to panic. “It's Krypto! It's the wol-ef-dog! it's the wol-ef-dog!” Streaky screams.

But as the dog comes closer, it's an afghan with a snooty accent wearing a Halloween costume. He thanks Streaky for noticing the wolf suit and walks on. Ace asks Streaky if the cat is sure he is feeling alright.

Streaky, beginning to calm down again, explains that after all he's experienced since getting super-powers, he can handle meeting up with giant metallic cats bent on world domination and dogs who can project fire, but THIS, he says is just too weird. He adds that at least his X-ray vision confirms it's not "'just a cheap crook in a mask'"

They enter the old deserted mansion and it's covered in dust. Ace remarks that it doesn't look as if anyone has been inside for years. But the Bathound takes out his magnifying glass looking for clues as Streaky nervously looks over his shoulder.

But unknown to Ace, the hyenas have been busy setting traps for the heroes. As Ace peers closely at the floor, behind him a spring-loaded stuffed moose head with razor sharp antlers is aimed at his back. Streaky blocks the attack, but Ace only turns around in time to see Streaky fighting with a stuffed moose head. “What is wrong with you?” Ace snaps as an embarrassed Streaky stammers, unsuccessfully trying to explain what happened.

This continues for some time as Streaky stops traps that Ace does not notice. Examples of this include a boulder-sized marble shot out of a giant cannon hidden in a secret passage (Streaky blows the giant marble away with his super-breath), a portrait that had eyes following the heroes and firing laser eyes (Streaky flies Ace out of harm's way and destroys the attacking portrait with his heat vision, a robot made to resemble a suit of medieval armor with a battle-axe (Streaky uses his super-speed and super-strength to tackle THAT hard enough to render it harmless), an anvil dropping from a trap door over the heroes' heads (Streaky catches the anvil on his back in mid-air and flips it outside with great effort) and another stuffed moose head trap (this one with .50 caliber machine guns loaded into the antlers though [Streaky uses his super-speed and super-coat to deflect the bullets {though they definitely sting like the blazes} before destroying the moose head with his heat vision]).

Krypto even comes running through the room again while Ace is downstairs looking for clues, and, as he's chasing the hyenas, knocks the distracted Streaky down, leaving him dazed for a couple of minutes. Ace returns to find Streaky lying on the floor and shakes his head. That lazy cat is always taking naps, he thinks.

But ultimately, Ace looks closely at the dog hair he found on the floor under his portable microscope and tells Streaky it's just like one of Krypto's hairs, but mutated somehow. Streaky gloats that he was right after all and says Ace can apologize anytime.

Ace just glares at him, but in the background Ace and Streaky see Krypto running through the room behind them, chasing after the hyenas again.

Ace tells Streaky to keep an eye on things and make sure Krypto doesn't get away while he makes an emergency trip to the Batcave. Batman once dealt with a werewolf and should have access to an antidote but he cautions Streaky that there's no guarantee it will work on a dog.

Streaky gulps nervously, but agrees. As Ace leaves, he loses track of Krypto, who is still pursuing the hyena. His X-ray and telescopic visions and his super-hearing, however, allow the super-cat to quickly regain track.

The hyenas think they've lost him downstairs when they open a cellar door and prepare to hide, but the wolf dog springs out and there is a ripping sound and the hyenas are thrown down the stairs. As they land, Lou remarks that it looks as if their prank was a backfire. Bud moans in agreement and says not only that, but Krypto has HIS back fur. Cut to a snickering Krypto with a clump of Bud's mane in his mouth.

While this is going on, Streaky takes advantage of his X-ray vision, telescopic vision, super-hearing, super-speed and relatively small size to keep an eye on matters and still remain as inconspicuous as possible. But he can't resist chuckling occasionally at the hyena's plight.

Ace finally returns with the antidote. The hyenas have been battered unconscious at this point but Streaky has successfully avoided the wolfdog thanks, in good part, to the maneuverability afforded him by his super-speed and relatively small size.

Ace tells Streaky to lead Krypto toward him so he can administer the cure. Streaky gulps and says he isn't sure it's a good idea. Ace glares at him and Streaky sighs. Sometimes he's almost as afraid of Ace as he is of the wolfdog.

“Here boy,” Streaky says in a VERY nervous almost-whisper. Krypto snarls and walks toward him. "Here boy," and Streaky nervously steps back. But suddenly Krypto leaps on Streaky and pins him down. A concerned Ace runs toward Streaky to try to help.
Thunder strikes and lightning flashes as Streaky screams, “No, Krypto, down boy!” and menacing shadows appear on the wall. But when the scene shifts back to Krypto and Streaky, the wolfdog is licking Streaky and the cat is giggling, telling Krypto, “Aw, cut it out, Krypto, it tickles. Hee hee.” Ace notes that even as an inarticulate wolfdog, Krypto is still a good guy for the most part, and prepares to administer the shot.

But there's a problem. They forgot that the needle couldn't penetrate Krypto's super hide and Ace isn't sure what to do, but a battered Bud and Lou approach him, waving a white flag. They tell him their Kryptonite-coated needle was hidden in the next room, they were trying to get it back when Krypto started chasing them. Lou tells Ace to please take their needle, just get rid of that wolfdog, which Ace does while Streaky and Krypto keep an eye on the hyenas. Fortunately, the antidote works and Krypto soon changes back to his usual self.

The hyenas are taken away and Krypto thanks Ace and Streaky for restoring him. But Streaky says, “Y'know, K-Dog, after all we went through, I think we're entitled to treat ourselves to a little Halloween trick of our own.” He whispers into a smiling Krypto's ear.
Later, in their new cage at the zoo, Bud and Lou get a surprise visit from a wolfdog and wolfcat, who look a lot like Krypto and Streaky. The two begin howling at the hyenas. Bud screams at them, “No, not that!” and Lou notes that Halloween is over and that this isn't funny.

Both hyenas begin crying. Krypto and Streaky continue howling, as Streaky points and shows the audience their deluxe Halloween makeup kit, which they used to effect their “transformation.”

The two heroes break from their howling long enough for a smiling Krypto to tell Streaky it looks like he's finally getting into the Halloween spirit.

Streaky replies, “Yeah, K-Dog, Halloween IS fun.”

Nearby, the normally stoic Ace observes the sobbing hyenas and even he can't resist the urge to chuckle, if only very slightly.

Here's my next story idea. I figure it'll be a good introduction to my Bizarro-Krypto and Bizarro-Streaky.

Krypto the Superdog in: "Strange Reflections"

In his tank at the Lexcorp main building, Ignatius is already pacing about trying to devise his next big dinner plans. The trouble is, every time he comes up with an idea that could feed him for a year, Krypto and/or Streaky always ultimately end up interfering. And his efforts to get them out of the way never work out the way he plans. What he needs, he decides, are bodyguards with the same power classes as Krypto and Streaky, but whose absolutely loyalty would be to him. Somebody that could not just fight the two super-animals on an equal level, but also protect him around the clock to make sure his meals went uninterrupted.

Then it occurs to the iguana; Lexcorp scientists are working on a duplicating ray. He could use that to create exact duplicates of "goody-four-paws and his pussycat pal", but duplicates that would obey his every command. With that thought in mind, Ignatius eventually sneaks into the Lexcorp main labs. However, he has a couple of thoughts as he gains entry; first he remembers from bitter experience (i.e. the time he tried to use one of Krypto's hairs for a super-hair-tonic) that Krypto has a pretty tough coat. The ray might not be powerful enough to penetrate Superdog and Supercat's super-coats. Also, he thought about how, even if the ray COULD penetrate, that, in itself wouldn't guarantee that the duplicates would obey him. Thus, Ignatius does a little creative rewiring of the duplicating ray to boost its power enough where the ray CAN penetrate his targets' coats AND alter the "living duplicate mental make-up" programming enough to guarantee the duplicates' unquestioning loyalty.

Now, all the lizard needed was the right bait to lure Krypto and Streaky into the ray's path. As Ignatius watches Krypto and Streaky flying by on routine patrol (via means of a telescope in the lab), he notices a pet store. Yes, the perfect bait for those super-saps. No way those two can resist saving innocent animals in danger. With that thought in mind, Ignatius activates another laboratory machine that causes the water line directly under the pet store to burst, which starts a flood threatening the trapped animals.

As expected, Krypto and Streaky notice the peril at the pet store. The super-dog goes in first and, after some quick grumbling about having to go near water again, Streaky follows. As the super-pets work to save the animals, Ignatius carefully aims the duplicating ray and fires off a quick shot at each of them. Krypto and Streaky manage to save all the animals, produce twin water spouts to divert all the excess water and fix the busted water main with their heat vision (okay, Krypto was the one using heat vision, Streaky was just holding the temporary patch in patch FOR Krypto), but the iguana gets what he was shooting for... sort of. It turns out the duplicates he made of Krypto and Streaky; which materialize in the lab with him via the beam of light emerging from the monitor on the ray; actually have complexions resembling chalky bricks. Also, Krypto's duplicate has a darker red cape and the position of the "S" on the tag is reversed and Streaky's duplicate has orange lightning bolts down either side of his back instead of yellow. More importantly, though the duplicates DO have all the powers of Krypto and Streaky (except for the fact that they have freeze vision instead of heat vision and flame breath instead of standard super-breath), they are noticeably less intelligent than the originals. Ignatius seems to recall Lex mentioning something extremely similiar happening to a duplicate he made of Superman that came to be known as "Bizarro".

Upset at first, Ignatius calms down when he realizes that this can still work. The Bizarro duplicates ARE still just as powerful as their counterparts, after all, and their childlike mentalities just makes them that much easier to manipulate. With that, the iguana works on convincing Bizarro-Krypto and Bizarro-Streaky that he is their friend and has a very fun game planned.

The next afternoon, while Krypto and Streaky are on patrol, their Bizarro duplicates fly at them at full strength and speed, nailing the heroes before unleashing their flame breath. "This combat tag." Bizarro-Krypto commented before adding "This mean you two are "'it'" and must defeat us in battle before WE "'it'". Krypto and Streaky, shaking off the sneak attacks, fly after their Bizarro duplicates only to get nailed by blasts of freeze vision. Using heat vision and super-speed drilling, Krypto and Streaky manage to free themselves of their ice blocks, but now have to hunt down their Bizarro duplicates with their X-ray and telescopic visions and their super-hearing, splitting up to cover more ground.

Streaky encounters the Bizarro-Krypto on his hunt and has a difficult time dodging the roughhousing Bizarro super-dog's antics. However, when one of Bizarro-Krypto's flame breath blasts destroys a fire hydrant, Streaky gets the idea to use his super-breath to blow the water right at his Bizarro opponent. As luck would have it, this is ALSO JUST when Bizarro-Krypto is attempting a freeze vision blast and ends up trapping HIMSELF temporarily in the makeshift iceberg. Streaky, with his usual brief grumbling about the water, still fights off the water blast long enough to actually use his heat vision to do a temporary make shift pipe seal. With that, the super-cat starts looking for a place to dry off quickly.

Krypto, meanwhile, runs into Bizarro-Streaky, who attempts to sing. Krypto covers his ears; knowing about Streaky's super-bad-singing power from that time Streaky almost single-handedly saved him from Mechanikat. Surprisingly, Bizarro-Streaky's singing actually turns out to be super-GOOD... HYPNOTICALLY good in fact. This song isn't working on Krypto because he is being careful to keep his ears covered, but every bird and insect within range is falling under the Bizarro-super-cat's power and is attacking Krypto. Though not wishing to harm innocent animals, Krypto DOES fly around the mass at best speed in an effort to render them too dizzy to attack without really hurting them. Unfortunately, Bizarro-Streaky uses the opportunity to fly up behind Krypto and fling him into the nearest building. Though Krypto is the stronger of the two, he can't use his front paws against Bizarro-Streaky without running the risk of falling prey to his hypnotic singing. So he settles for using his super-speed, heat vision and super-breath until Streaky comes along, Bizarro-Krypto hot on his heels and moves out of the way just in time for the two Bizarro super-animals to collide unavoidably.

When Bizarro-Streaky tries his super-GOOD-singing power again, Streaky uses his super-BAD-singing; the two songs cancelling each other out. Meanwhile, Krypto and Bizarro-Krypto focus on fighting each other before Bizarro-Krypto makes the comment about "little green lizard right. This IS fun game to play." Krypto grumbles that he should have known Ignatius would have had a hand in this and works to convince his Bizarro duplicate that he has another idea for a fun game.... "spy." Confused, the two Bizarro super-animals ask for an explanation and Streaky, catching on fast, fields this. "You use your super-visions and super-hearing to eavesdrop on the "'little green lizard'" and find out his most embarrassing secrets. It's always fun to have something you can keep ribbing your friends about."

the Bizarro animals nod and proceed to play until they hear Ignatius gloating about how he duped those Bizarro animals into going after their counterparts so that he could dine uninterrupted. The Bizarro super-animals confront Igantius, who nervously grins as Bizarro-Krypto good-naturedly, but very roughly, slaps him on the back explaining that he and Bizarro-Streaky DID have a fun time, so they'll let the lizard's trickery slide this time, but he'd better not try it again.

The Bizarro super-animals fly off, but not before telling Krypto and Streaky that "they have to do this again sometime" (Krypto and Streaky both loudly groan at this statement). It is soon after this when Bizarro-Krypto and Bizarro-Streaky meet up with Bizarro Number One and the three Bizarros end up majorly hitting it off.

    The End

Good to see the Bizarro concept, I'm surprised no one had done it before. Very entertaining story, Comickook.

Thanks, catfan1. I'm glad you liked the story. It was just a little something I thought of for the Halloween season.

here's something i was wondering. if a red sun takes away a kryptonian's power, and a yellow sun gives kryptonians their powers, then what does a blue sun do to them? does it give them new powers, or strenghens the ones they already have?

Interesting question, Mammal_Mage. I can't answer it, however. I WILL look into it though.

This one's been on my mind for a while, so I might as well do it. If this contradicts a story that another person has done, please let me know (I wish I could remember some of the episodes you guys made ). And thanks to X-626's idea for making this possible (you'll see what I mean as you read on).

Krypto the Superdog in - I Can Never Go Back

(Might be a slightly darker storyline than the show would allow).

It started out as a routine day. Patrol the city, keep it safe, nothing too big. He hadn't seen Mechanikat lately and wondered where he was. It just wasn't fun without one of his schemes to destroy him. Streaky was out of the city with Andrea today, and Kevin was at school. He looked down as he flew over the city, spotting Snooky walking on the sidewalk.

It seemed strange, something about him. He looked a little worried, like something was about to happen. As he approached an alley, he looked into the sky to see if Krypto was there. In order to see what Snooky was doing, he quickly flew behind a nearby building before he spotted him. Krypto watched as he turned into the alley, and he slowly walked over to it and peered in.

Something caught his eye. The collar Snooky wore was different than usual. It was metal, and had small red orbs all over it, blinking. A toy mouse crept from the darkness, and a screen popped up from its back. Mechanikat appeared on it, and Snooky suddenly went into a rage.

"I've given you their blueprints, now take this thing off of me!" he demanded.

"Patience, my friend...I'll release the bomb when you've fullfilled your use to me," Mechanikat said calmly.

"This isn't right..." Snooky exclaimed with a sad face, "I shouldn't be doing this."

"You'll pay me back...you didn't think you could just leave, could you? Even with Superdog around, you'll never be safe from me."

The screen went down, and the mouse went back into the alley. Snooky turned around and saw Krypto there. Instead of being surprised, he acted like he expected it. With a sad face, he approached Krypto.

    "You heard everything, didn't you...?"

"Snooky, what was that all about?"

"This thing on my neck," he said while trying to get it off, "he put it on me and now I can't get it off."

"Why would he do something like that?"

"Ever since I left Mechanikat, he's always been after me. He found me one night and...well, you know the rest."

"You should've just come to the Dog Stars for help! You know they'd..."

    He shook his head.

"I've already tried that...nothing worked. Only he has the key to it, and he'll give it to me when I'm done working for him."

"You don't know how long that'll be...come on. We can at least try another time."

    "But..."

"I promise you," he said while putting his paw on Snooky's shoulder, "no matter how long it takes, we'll find a way."

Krypto turned around and Snooky hesitantly hopped on his back. He flew off into the distance with Snooky on his back.

They arrived at the Dog Star's ship. Brainy, Bulldog, and Tusky were there, but they seemed a little reluctant to help.

"I'm sorry Krypto...but we haven't found a way to unlock it yet. We've got other things to worry about as well..." Brainy said, grimly.

"Someone's been stealing our ship schematics," Bulldog exclaimed, "and if I found out who the bloak who did it was, I'll..."

Snooky lowered his head, and walked out, still depressed.

"What's wrong with him?" Tusky asked.

Krypto didn't answer, but followed him into the halls.

"So, that's what he was after!" Krypto said.

"Yeah...I don't want to betray you all, but...I have no choice."

    "Maybe I could do something..."

Krypto's eyes glowed and he fired off his heat vision at the collar. It didn't work at all.

    "Huh...?"

Krypto looked closely at the collar, and saw that it had kryptonite in it. He also saw what appeared to be some sort of keyhole.

"Of course...he always has to put kryptonite in it..." he complained.

Snooky walked back into the control room without saying anything else, and was beamed back down to Earth by Brainy. Krypto felt helpless, almost completely amazed that Mechanikat had made the perfect plan for his revenge. He took a walk around the ship and accidently stumbled upon a room with all sorts of gadgets and the like. He walked through, looking around, and found a table with a key-like object on it.

His eyes widened now. He slowly grabbed it, his arms trembling. He knew the truth of both sides...now he just had to stop anything else from happening.

Now on Earth, it was nighttime. Krypto flew through the air, calling out for Snooky, searching everywhere for him. Finally, in a deserted part of town, he saw him, moping about without hope. He landed and ran up to him with the key in his mouth.

"Hey, wait up!" he muttered with the key in his mouth.

Snooky turned around, noticing what he had.

    "No way...that's...!"

"The Dog Stars had it for some reason...I thought it might be what you needed."

He stuck the key into the collar, and it opened up and detached by a series of latches. Krypto quickly picked it up as it began to blink wildly and tossed it into the air using his mouth. It exploded in a great burst, and debris flew everywhere. They were both speechless. It was a trap!

"So even if he gave you the key...you'd still be dead!" Krypto said angrily.

"I knew it...he wants me dead, and he doesn't care what happens to me," he said with slight anger in his voice. Did the Dog Stars know about this?

"Why else would they hide it from you?"

    "..."

The clouds moved in, thunder roared, and rain began to fall. Krypto turned around and walked away, thinking about what to do next.

"I want you to get somewhere safe...I don't care where it is. Just get as far away from here as you can..."

He flew off, looking back at Snooky, who seemed depressed even now that that thing was off of him.

Krypto was in Kevin's room now, coming through a window and shaking off the water. Kevin wasn't home apparently, and neither was the rest of the family. He began to lie down, slowly, tired with the thought of what might happen to Snooky.

"They hid it from me and him...they wouldn't, would they?"

He fell asleep, and woke up an hour later to some kind of noise. Like a scream or something. It was very faint, but he could hear it. He tried going back to sleep, but heard it again and again. It sounded like Snooky's voice.

    "Krypto...Krypto...help!!!"

He was wide awake now, and trying to locate where he heard the voice from. He changed into his Superdog form and flew out again into the rain. He flew as fast as he could to the edge of town, searching around as best as he could with the wind and rain coming at his face. He landed down and looked around, heading into an alley where he saw what was happening. Mechanikat was there, and he slowly turned around, with Snooky in his claws, grabbing him by the neck.

"I must say, you arrived simply too late," he smurked.

He threw Snooky's lifeless body to Krypto's feet. He was bleeding and hurt badly, but still barely alive.

"Krypto..." he whispered faintly, completely drained of energy.

"No...!!" Krypto yelled. It echoed through the night as Mechanikat left.

Krypto, now in a blind rage, hovered off of the ground and flew at Mechanikat, knocking him through the wall of a warehouse. He rammed him at incredible speeds, and kicked him as hard as he could. Tears were pouring from his eyes, and now he was even angrier. He tossed Mechanikat out of the building and stomped on him, sending parts of his metal body flying. He held him up and then punched him into the wall, where he continued his assault. Now, he started to calm down as he held him there against the wall.

"Superdog..." he heard Snooky mutter, "don't do it..."

He dropped Mechanikat to the ground and walked over to his side.

"You shouldn't do it...you don't want his blood on your paws do you?"

    "But he...you...!"

"I'm begging you, Krypto...don't make mistakes that you'll regret. I should know..."

Snooky died right there in front of him. His scream of anger was heard all across the city as Krypto picked him up onto his back.

Brainy had her back turned to the door of the control room as she sensed Krypto walk in.

"You knew, didn't you? That's the only reason you didn't help him...because you were too afraid it might kill you too."

"No...yes. It would've happened eventually, and Mechanikat would've had his way in the end. I'm sorry Krypto..."

She turned around to face him and heard his yell as he pounded the floor with both paws, shaking the station. He walked out. He needed time to clear his head...
