Hero Name: Prince Nemo, the Marine Master.

Powers: Ability to survive indefinitely in or out of the water (though his strength and speed doubles when he's IN the water); Super-strength that allows him to lift a maximum of 400 tons out of the water (800 tons IN the water); Skin tough enough to keep anything short of and including 250 pounds of dynamite at blast point range from penetrating (which is DEFINITELY a more than tough enough hide for ocean bottom pressures); Winged feet that allow him to fly at a top speed of 300 miles per hour (or swim at a top speed of 600 land miles per hour); Power to control any and all aquatic animals within a one-mile-radius telepathically; Power to mentally control the movement and temperature of water within a one-mile-radius; Power to shoot out very powerful electric blasts from his hands.

Origin: The first known mutant, Prince Nemo received his birth name from his mother; a half-sea-god, half-mermortal Atlantean queen who was inspired by her late land-born husband's favorite author, Jules Verne. Armed with a wide range of sea based powers (which inspired the people of the surface to give him his OTHER name; the Marine Master), Prince Nemo started out as a warrior for his people against the entire surface world. Within a year, however, his feelings toward the general surface population started softening to a limited degree; enough where he actually fought to PROTECT them as well as his own people from the mutual threat of the Axis powers; though he still remained a very proud and arrogant warrior. Even after the Axis's defeat, the Marine Master didn't press any further attacks on the surface world unleash he was provoked into doing so by attacks on his own people (and even then only the surface dwellers BEHIND the attacks). During the war years, he fought alongside the likes of the Shining Eagle in the Advance Force. Nowadays, he is a frequent ally of the likes of Doctor Weird, the Invincible Kluh and the Plantinum Cyclist in the Sentries.

Personality: Arrogant, but very honorable. Does not attack anybody without being justifiably provoked, but also doesn't hesitate to dish out some very brutual justice when he IS justifiably provoked. Always keeps his word, but is very slow to trust others any more than absolutely necessary.

Based On: Prince Namor, the Sub-Mariner

    Pet's Name: Poseidon.

Species: Great White Shark (mutated male)

Powers: Four times larger than a normal Great White; Four times greater proportionate strength, speed and senses than a normal Great White; Super-genius-level human intelligence; Has the ability to shoot out powerful electrical blasts from his eyes; Ageless.

Background: Was once an ordinary Great White shark until 1940, when he was captured by a mad scientist who wanted to use the shark for his experiments. Prince Nemo tracked down the mad scientist and dealt out a fierce punishment to this madman for what he was trying to do to a denizen of the Atlantean's procterate. However, thanks to an army of robots keeping the Marine Master busy, the mad scientist still had time to enlarge the shark to four times his previous size and proportionate strength, speed and senses as well as make the shark ageless, much smarter than he used to be AND able to shoot electrical blasts from his eyes. Upon his rescue by the Marine Master, the shark, now known as Poseidon (named by Prince Nemo after the Greek God of the sea), became the Atlantean royal's ever-faithful ally and a VERY fearsome guardian of the Earth's waters.

Personality: Surly and ill-tempered, but still very faithful to Prince Nemo and a geniunely devoted protector of the oppressed within the undersea world.

Description: Much like a normal Great White, only quadruple-sized and with a dark silver coloration in his eyes.

Sorry, Mammal_Mage. Didn't mean to beat you to the punch. Just wanted to get the idea posted while it was still in my head. I apologize.

    Anyway, here's my next contribution

    Villain Name: Master Shogun

Abilities: A master of all known martial arts; Master planner and manipulator; Wears ten rings he found on a crash-landed alien starship that, though the rings only have a range of 100 yards on the powers, allow him a considerable arsenal of formidable super-abilities. The rings on his right hand, in order of his thumb to his pinky, allow him the powers of super-heat-generation, machine control, mass mind control, matter transmution and hyper-gravity-beam-projection. The rings on his left hand, in order of thumb to pinky, allow him the powers of anti-gravity beam projection, control over the elements of earth, air and water and super-cold-generation.

Origin: Was once a largely unknown, but very proud scholar of Oriental history who stumbled upon the ruins of an alien starship with a monstrous guardian. Defeating the guardian after a fierce battle, the young man claimed his prize; ten rings of awesome power (actually he claimed that prize DURING the battlel; it's just that, after he won the battle, the rings were DEFINITELY his to keep). After he mastered the rings, he became one of the most feared villains in his world and the arch-nemesis of Techno-Knight (in addition to being a frequent foe of many of Techno-Knight's teammates in the Icons).

Personality: Extremely ambitious, ultra-ruthless but also highly intelligent, much preferring to let super-powered underlings to the dirty work to fighting battles himself (even if he IS more than capable of fighting his own battles) and preferring multi-layered subtle schemes to straight up attack.

    Based on: the Mandarin

    Pet's Name: Genghis

    Species: Opsa Lopsa (sp?)

Abilities: Razor-keen mind; Very capable fighter despite her small size (partially due to his energy and ferocity and partially due to Master Shogun's training); Can shoot out optic heat beams at will and exhale super-cold-blasts at will; Ages at the same rate as a human being (which is slower than a normal dog does).

Background: Found as a puppy by the youth that would come to be known as the Master Shogun, this dog, called Genghis by his master, had been a near-constant companion to the youth and even accompanied him to the starship ruined when he uncovered them. In fact, the dog assisted his master in the fight against the ship's guardian and had even been (unknown to his master at the time) biting into the guardian when the young man used the heat ring (the first he put on in the course of the battle) to blast the guardian. The energy the guardian unleashed, mixed with the heat blast, gave the dog permanently internalized heat vision, which he used to further assist his master. The guardian grabbed the dog about the same time the dog's master put on the last ring and tried unleashing a freeze blast with it (though the guardian's hand completely covered Genghis, so the dog's master didn't know he was grabbed). Thanks to his heat vision and dog teeth, Genghis managed to get free just as the freeze blast hit. As before, the ring's blast mixed with the guardian's energy gave the dog a permanently internalized version of that ring's power (though, in this case, it was freeze-breath; which he used to deliver the finishing blow [no pun intended] to the guardian).

What's more, it was discovered that the small energic dog's aging speed had even slowed down to a normal human rate due to a positive side effect of the same energies that gave Genghis his heat vision and freeze-breath). Even as his master became the Master Shogun and became obsessed with taking over the world, Genghis stayed loyally by his side, using his fighting spirit and super-powers to aid in the fight against all who would oppose his master (though he bears a particular distain for Wellington the Cyber-Rabbit).

Personality: Very fierce, but also quite intelligent and slavishly loyal to the Master Shogun.

Description: Not much different from your standard gold-colored fur Opsa Lopsa, actually.

    Hero Name: The Plantinum Cyclist

Abilities: Virtually indestructible body of living solified cosmic energy; Space-Motorcycle (made from the same virtually indestructible material as his own body) that responds perfectly to his thoughts and is capable of firing high-energy beams out of its "headlight" AND travelling through space at speeds well in excess of light itself; Ability to absorb the energy from the stars in virtually any form and convert the absorbed energy into a variety of effects, including, but not limited to, virtual immortality, the ability to go indefinitely without food, rest or breathing (very handy for travelling in space) immensely augmented strength (at peak levels, he's probably the third strongest hero in this universe; possessing strength only barely topped by that of the Master Stormbringer [who is topped only by the Invincible Kluh in terms of raw strength in this universe]), tremendously powerful bolts of stellar energy, force field generation or machine control).

Origin: Many years ago, a gifted young scholar on an alien world made a pact with Unibus (a virtually omnipotent being who derived his life energy by consuming the energies of other worlds and who had come to his world to consume its' life energies). In exchange for his homeworld being spared, he'd search out the universe looking for other worlds for Unibus to consume. The being agreed and transformed the young scholar into a being of immeasurable power more than equipped for traversing the vast reaches of outer space. At first, the scholar tried to scout out only worlds that had no sentient life, but still had a sufficent natural energy to sustain his master. As the years went by, however, he grew gradually more cold and distant, caring ONLY about the fact that the worlds had the sufficent energy to substain his master.

This changed as the Plantihum Cyclist and his omnipotent master reached Earth and ran afoul the combined efforts of the Tremendous Quartet, Miracle-Maker (before he became a member of the Icons) and the Sentries (Doctor Weird, Marine Master and the Invincible Kluh) as well as Champion, Estrella, Grounni and Doggie. During the battle, Doctor Weird combined his powers with Sir Tremendous's pleas to get in touch with the Plantinum Cyclist's long buried conscience (while the Living Comet engaged in a desperate search for the Infinite Neutralizer [the one weapon that was capable of stopping Unibus], Champion and Estrella focused on protecting the innocents and the others [including Grounni and Doggie] took the fight directly to Unibus himself). Eventually, the sorcerer and super-scientist's joint efforts proved to be a success and after a failed attempt to plead with Unibus for the welfare of the Earth, the Platinum Cyclist switched sides and battled his now FORMER-master alongside the assemblage of heroes; just minutes before the Living Comet finally returned with the mega-weapon he went for. It was soon after the Living Comet returned with the Infinite Neutralizer that the omnipotent being acknowledged his defeat and agreed to spare the Earth. As punishment to his former herald for turning against him, however, the cosmic being forbade the Plantinum Cyclist from leaving the Earth courtesy of a planet surrounding energy field specifically designed for keeping HIM on the planet.

Over the course of his exile on Earth, the Plantinum Cyclist stuck mostly to the background, but still discreetly helped out whenever possible. He even became a member, in good standing, of the Sentries. When a means was eventually found to allow the Plantinum Cyclist to get through the barrier his former master left to keep him stranded, the now super-heroic Plantinum Cyclist headed back out toward the stars and tried to use his vast powers to help the embattled in atonement for the worlds he's doomed under his former master's control.

Personality: Stotic and mostly pretty secretive, but still has a highly developed moral sense thanks to the influence of the heroes he's befriended on Earth (this includes, of course, a very fierce loyalty to his friends).

    Based on: the Silver Surfer

    Pet's Name: Lazarus

Species: Mystically/cosmic energy-enhanced Jack Russell terrier

Abilities: Pretty much the same as those of the Plantinum Cyclist except that he flies under his OWN power rather than using a space-motorcycle.

Background: During his time on Earth, the Plantinum Cyclist noticed how much value the "pet" appeared to have concerning the "human condition" and wondered what it was like to have one; well, up until he made the friendship of a Jack Russell terrier puppy stray and started spending time with him. Unfortunately, the Plantinum Cyclist found out that the puppy was deathly ill and restoring the dead was one of the very few things beyond even HIS awesome powers, so he flew the puppy to the secret sanctuary of his good friend and fellow Sentry Doctor Weird. Doctor Weird admitted that restoring the dead was a tall order... but the combination of his magic and the Cyclist's cosmic energies could pull it off if they worked fast enough. Sure enough, the combined power of the two heroes WAS enough to save the dog, which Doctor Weird called "Lazarus", in reference to the dead man brought back to life by Jesus.

What's more, not only did the puppy survive, but the combined energies of Doctor Weird and the Plantinum Cyclist even copied the Cyclist's powers onto the dog, which made the dog an even better companion for the being from the stars. When the Cyclist finally found a way to return to the stars, Lazarus flew off alongside his master, eager to keep him company and assist him in his quest for redemption.

Personality: Very friendly and energic and completely loyal to the Plantinum Cyclist, any of the heroes the Cyclist has befriended or any of the pets of said heroes.

Description: Except for his all-silver coloration, identical to a normal Jack Russell terrier.

Quite all right, Mammal_Mage, I'm running short on ideas myself. Which is why it took me a couple of days to come up with the next one:

    Civilian Name: Ronald Gates

    Hero Name: Master Stormbringer

Equipment/Abilities: Enchanted ring with a lightning bolt and hammer emblem on it. Ronald Gates wears this ring on his right index finger and it is invisible while he is in his civilian identity. Rubbing the ring three times transforms Ronald into his super-hero alter-ego rubbing the ring three more times turns the Master Stormbringer back to his mortal form. As the Master Stormbringer, he can completely control the weather within his immediate area, fly at nearly the speed of light, generate immensely powerful energy bolts from his hands, heal from most wounds and injuries at a hyper-accelerated rate, breathe underwater or in space (due to a magically generated personal air supply) or lift a maximum load of 2500 tons (providing him with a strength level exceeded on his world only by that of the Invincible Kluh himself [at least among the hero community]). What's more, the ring's enchantment means that the ring only works for the bravest and noblest of souls. His principle weaknesses are that he can't stay in his Master Stormbringer form for more than two hours at a time (and, of course, depending on where he is, changing back to Ronald Gates at the wrong time could most definitely have very grave consequences) and, once he changes back to Ronald Gates, he can't change back for a time period equal to three times the length of time he stayed in super-form (i.e. it could sometimes be up to six hours before he can call on his powers again).

Origin: Once an young archaeologist trekking through the mountains of Norway, Ronald Gates ran afoul of some rather deadly aliens who were plotting to attack a village full of innocent people. One of them spotted Ronald and the young archaeologist, realizing how outmatched he was here, was only very barely able to escape with his life and ended up lost and trapped in an old cave. In this cave, Ronald discovered a ring on a pedestal that started calling to him. Unable to resist the ring's magical urgings, Ronald put on the ring and rubbed it three times, which transformed him into a super-powerful being with a highly developed sense of justice. Using his new super-strength and flying ability to dig himself out of the cavern, Ronald then once again confronted those aliens that forced his retreat. Now armed with incredible strength, weather powers and energy blasting powers, Ronald, now the Master Stormbringer, was able to route the invaders and set THEM on the run. His work done, the new hero (at the ring's urging) rubbed the ring three times once more and changed back to his non-powered form. In Ronald's head, the ring provided explained the situation and said that it was the inner hero inside of Ronald and the closeness to the ring that allowed him to hear the ring's call. Since then, the Master Stormbringer went on to become one of this world's top heroes as well as a founding member of the Icons; the top super-hero team in this universe.

Personality: As Ronald Gates: Mostly quiet and mild-mannered, but also highly intelligent and has an inner courage and sense of justice strong enough to make him worthy of the power of the Master Stormbringer's ring. As the Master Stormbringer: Incedibly confident, a truly fierce warrior but one with a definite soft spot for endangered innocents and a highly developed sense of honor.

    Based on: Thor

Pet's Name: Guardian Angel (okay; he's not a pet per say, but they ARE connected)

    Species: Saint Benard

Equipment/Abilities: Enchanted collar that increases his strength enough to allow him to lift a maximum of 600 tons, fly at a top speed of twelve times the speed of sound, emit optic lightning bolts at will and exhale hurricane force gusts of extra-cold air. Unlike the ring, the power of the collar IS permanent and is designed to work only for Guardian Angel himself.

Background: Immediately following a particularly brutual battle over the Swiss Alps, the Master Stormbringer changed back into Ronald Gates because his two hours of power ran out just as he finished defeating his enemy. Falling hard into the snow, Ronald might have froze to death if not for the timely arrival of a trained Saint Bernard "snow rescue dog". After the dog saved his life and got him to a warm shelter, the grateful Ronald was thinking of a way to repay the Saint Bernard when the dog's sense of hearing picked up an incoming avalaunce. Fortunately, the shelter had a trap door to a more secure lower floor and the Saint Bernard used that to save himself and Ronald. Eventually, when enough time had past to allow Ronald to change back into the Master Stormbringer, he was able to get himself and the Saint Bernard out of there despite the many tons of snow directly over the trap door (fortunately the lower chamber had plenty of food, air and water to last more than that long) and fly them back to civilization. Soon afterwards, the hero awarded the dog (who he dubbed Guardian Angel) with a special power collar that would only work for him. Since then, this super-powered pooch has been faithfully protecting the Swiss Alps, and sometimes even the world itself, from all manner of monsters, disasters and criminals.

Personality: Quick-thinking, highly compassionate and extremely brave.

Description: Much like a normal Saint Benard except for the golden collar with a silver hammer and lightning bolt infringed on front.

Good use of that inspiration, Mammal_Mage. Here's my latest one:

    Civilian Name: Jeffery Fume

    Hero Name: Massive Guy

Abilities: Genius level bio-chemist; Ability to enlarge himself to 36 times his normal size (and, since, he's five-foot ten at normal size, 36 times his normal size translates to 210 feet tall) with the appropriate increase in proportionate strength and endurance but without any mental strain (actually, his upper size limit is eight times that much [or 288 times his normal size], but pushing it past 36 times his normal size takes a lot of concentration and causes mental strain that can take a temporary, but violent, toll on his sanity).

Origin: Once merely a research scientist looking to create a formula to increase the size of certain foods so that they can feed a lot more people, Jeffery Fume had the misfortune of hoodlums breaking into his laboratory and trying to steal his experimental formula. His dog, Babe (more on him later), tried to stop the robbers and Jeffery tried to save his dog, but ended up getting crowned by the vial during the struggle (albeit not the robbers; they slipped on an overwaxed floor and hit the wall when Jeffery was crowned by the vial of growth formula). As a result of the formula exposure, Jeffery gained incredible growth powers. After much soul searching, a period of learning to control his new powers, the chance foiling of a mugging and the equally chance rescue of a rich friend of Reginald Harkness (aka Techo-Knight) from a drowning accident, Jeffery Fume decided to use his growth powers to operate as a super-hero. With that, Jeffery Fume became Massive Guy and went on to be a founding member of the Icons (along with Madame Bug, Techno-Knight, Commander Arthropod, the Master Stormbringer and Lady Kluh).

Personality: Intelligent, good-natured and level-headed for the most part, with a highly developed sense of morality, but, if he pushes his growth powers past 210 feet tall, he has been known to lose a measure of mental control (how much depends on how big he gets and how long he stays that big) and runs the risk of becoming as dangerous to his allies as to his enemies.

    Based on: Giant Man

    Pet's Name: Babe.

    Species: Toy Poodle (male)

Abilities: Ability to enlarge himself to up to 36 times his normal size (which, even though, at normal size, he's no bigger than a newborn human baby, this is still enough for him to enlarge himself to a size larger than a three story building) with the appropriate increase in proportionate strength and endurance.

Background: Adopted as a puppy by Jeffery Fume, the toy poodle that came to be named "Babe" (in reference to Paul Bunyan's big blue ox [because of his blue fur coat and because Jeffery was feeling lovingly ironic]) was raised to adult doghood by the biochemist and fiercely protective of both his master and his master's work. During the incident that gave Jeffery his Massive Guy powers, Babe was also exposed to some of the formula, but only enough to set his upper limit to a maximum of 36 times his normal size (though Babe, at least, can grow to his maximum size and still retain his full sanity). When his master became a super-hero, so did Babe. Thus far, Babe has proven to be quite a capable hero whether at his master's side, operating with the pets (or, in the cases of Sentinel and Guardian Angel, sometimes animal partners) of his master's Icons' teammates or working alone.

Personality: Friendly and loyal to his friends, but very fierce to his enemies (or his friends' enemies).

Description: Much like a normal Toy Poodle, except for the blue fur and his specially designed gold-collared collar that can grow as he does and shrink back to normal when he does thanks to the fact that Babe's collar was treated with the same sort of chemicals and Jeffery's Massive Guy costume).

    Name: Francine Von Danes

    Heroine Name: Madame Bug

Abilities: Sharp scientific and business acumen; Super-suit that contains workable wings that allow her to fly at a top speed of 300 miles per hour, "electro-stinger" gauntlets capable of firing powerful electrical blasts, an exoskeleton that allows her to lift up to four tons with supreme effort, a special helmet that allows her a telepathic link with all insects within a one-mile radius AND special circuitry the ability to shrink herself down to a half-inch tall (which is one-138th her normal size) while still retaining her super-suit's full-sized powers; Competent hand-to-hand fighter.

Origin: Once just a bored rich playgirl blessed with a high-level of intelligence, Francine Von Danes took to building stuff to relieve boredom. A natural inventor fascinated with the insect kingdom, Francine ultimately ended up, before she knew it, devising a super-suit using several pieces of insect themed gear; a suit she would put to the test when one of her parents' parties was being held up by hoodlums. Sneaking off unnoticed while the crooks were occupied with the other party goers, Francine got to her secret lab, donned the experimental suit and, after shrinking herself down for maximum stealth, made short work of the crooks with the blasts of her electro-stringers and the help of the diversion caused by a swarm of wasps and ants that focused their attacks on the crooks. Soon afterwards, Francine adopted the name Madame Bug became a super-heroine, which most definitely went a long way toward relieving her boredoml especially after she became a founding member of the Icons.

Personality: Loves bugs; Intelligent in scientifically and business-related fields, but does have a definite party animal side.

Based on: Actually, she's based on equal parts the Wasp and Henry Pym's Ant-Man identity.

    Pet's Name: Cleo aka Stingcat

    Species: Calico Cat (female)

Abilities: Can fly at 300 miles per hour; can shoot electrical blasts from her paws; Can lift up to 1000 pounds with supreme effort; Can telepathically communicate with all insects within a one mile radius; Can shrink to a maximum of 138th her normal size while still retaining her full-sized powers; When the front of her collar is pressed once, Cleo is covered by an illusionary imagery that makes her look like a yellow-furred cat with black horizonal stripes rather than a Calico and makes the collar look black instead of silver (pressing the collar's front again removes the illusion).

Background: Cleo was basically just your standard housecat until soon after Francine Von Danes first offical night as Madame Bug. Cleo stumbled upon Francine's laboratory just as Francine was returning from patrol and ended up setting off some machinery that Francine had to save her pet from. Francine got her cat out of the path of a machine's discharge, but ended up taking some of the discharge herself while holding Cleo. Working fast, Francine was able to make sure all the machines were safely shut down, but not before the powers of Francine's Madame Bug super-suit were copied onto Cleo (albeit in proportion to her size as far as the exoskeleton went). Eventually, when Cleo mastered her new powers, she started accompanying Francine on her patrols as Madame Bug, much to the heroine's initial annoyance (she didn't want to chance her pet getting hurt). In the end, though, Cleo's persistance won out and her collar was outfitted with a holographic illusion device that allows her to conceal her identity. Since then, Cleo has definitely gotten into the hero bit

Personality: A sassy smart-alec with an overly curious nature, but still quite intelligent and pretty loyal to Francine and any of her friends.

Description: Looks just like an average Calico with a silver-colored collar, except when she has to go into action. Then, after pressing on the front of her collar, she looks, to the average observer, like a yellow furred cat with black stripes and a black collar.

    Heroine Name: Lady Kluh

Abilities: Super-genius intellect; Incredible strength that allows her to lift up to 1000 tons; Near-invulnerability (except for magic, pretty much nothing short of twelve tons of exploding dynamite at blast point range can hurt her); Super-stamina (she can go up to eight days at maximum level before fatique starts to set in); Super-leaps (one single bound can carry her more than a mile in height and/or distance); Telepathic link to Titaness (see below); Skilled attorney.

Origin: A cousin of the Invincible Kluh's human alter-ego, the woman who would become known as Lady Khul got in a pretty bad accident and needed a blood transfusion badly. Stockman, knowing he had the same blood type as his cousin, volunteered to be a donor under an assumed name. Not only did the doctors find that the blood type was a perfect match, but actually among the healthiest blood they've ever seen, so they prepared the transfusion immediately. Not only did the transfusion save the woman's life; just two weeks later, transformed her into a super-powerful green skinned gigantess (though the physical power was dilluted in comparison to her cousin's Kluh form). Unlike her cousin, however, her intelligence was increased along with her muscle power and she also had nowhere near the difficulty controlling her anger. Despite that, however, Stockman was aware he could never donate blood again because even dilluted Kluh power in hands less responsible than his cousin's could be a disastrous recipe indeed. Though it was unknown to either the doctors or the public how she came by her powers she came to be known as Lady Kluh because her power and hue suggested it. With a super-genius intellect and a calm head guiding her incredibly powerful body, Lady Kluh became a highly respected super-heroine and a founding member of the Icons. When she's not clobbering super-powered bad guys and saving innocent lives directly, however, Lady Kluh still fights crime and helps people in trouble in a different arena... the courthouse (she's actually a fairly successful attorney).

Personality: Extremely bold, but also quite intelligent, responsible and calm. While not naive` (she knows a great deal about the law), she DOES have an extremely highly developed sense of right and wrong.

    Based on: The She-Hulk.

    Pet's Name: Titaness

    Species: Canary. (female)

Abilities: Super-genius intellect; Considerable physical strength (she can lift a maximum of twenty tons [pretty darn good for a bird that only weights five pounds {}]); Limited invulnerability allowing her body to deflect anything short of and including high-powered gunfire at medium range (though anything stronger than .38 caliber does still sting quite a bit; Can chirp loud enough for the chirp to serve as a powerful sonic weapon; Telepathic link to Lady Kluh; Ability to fly at a top speed of 3600 miles per hour; Super-stamina (can go flat out for up to a full day before she starts to tire).

Background: Once merely an ordinary canary, the canary that would become known as Titaness first saw Lady Hluh when said canary was dodging a bunch of cats and ended up getting caught in the middle of one of the heroine's battles. During the battle, the villain in question got off a lucky blast and sent Lady Kluh flying; right toward where the canary was. During the instant this happened in, the canary absorbed a massive dose of energy due to her proximity to Lady Kluh when she landed (blast energy residue plus brief exposure to the inner energy stores of the heroine herself) and gained super-powers of her own (as well as a telepathic link to Lady Kluh), but not until sometime after the heroine finished the battle she was in. In fact, it wasn't until about a week later when the canary's own powers emerged in full force. She quadrupled in height and proportionate muscle mass and started hearing Lady Kluh's thoughts whenever she was close enough (though it took a while for the heroine to stay in range long enough for the canary to get a positive fix on her).

Armed with her formidable new strength and an ear-splitting chirp, the canary became the terror of cats all over the city, but all the while, ever so often, she kept hearing an inner voice telling her to use her powers to help others and also pulling her gradually closer and closer to Lady Kluh, who was hearing a similar inner voice concerning the canary (at least in the latter category; she was already helping others on a pretty regular basis []). Ultimately, after two weeks of this, the two emerald-hued female powerhouses met face-to-face and it didn't take long for Lady Kluh to figure out what caused this relatively massive canary to gain super-powers, and that this canary was her responsiblity. Thus, she took the canary in, named her Titaness and made sure she knew how to control her powers and use them responsibly.

Personality: A bit of a smart-alec who loves to prank cats, but still has a very high level of courage, intelligence and compassion.

Description Once looked like a regular canary, but now is relatively extra-large and with a permanent emerald green hue.

    Here's my next idea:

Hero Names: Lord Rapid and Golden Enchantress

Abilities: Lord Rapid can run and swim at a top speed of 3600 miles per hour and has reflexes, healing speed and thought processes that are 3600 times faster than peak human.

Golden Enchantress has limited telepathy and telekinesis as well as, most notably, the power to alter probabilities (making something that's unlikely 10, 000 times MORE likely, making something that's VERY likely 10, 000 times LESS likely or either increasing or decreasing somebody's power up to 10, 000fold or just about anything in between [the biggest problem with this last power is that nobody, not even the Golden Enchantress herself, is sure exactly how the power will work at any given time]).

Origin: These twin siblings were the offspring of the mutant-powered extremist known as Messiah, but this was unknown to either the villain or the siblings at the time they were numbered among his Inner Circle of Mutant Liberators (heck, they didn't even know they were brother and sister at the time) as their mother was forced to flee and hide from Messiah very soon after the twins were conceived right up soon after the twins were born (she died soon after giving birth to the twins, but not before making a good friend promise to find the twins good, seperate homes). It wasn't until sometime after they left Inner Circle and reformed, but before they signed on with the Icons, that Lord Rapid and the Golden Enchantress learned about how they were related and not until years after they joined the Icons when they found out Messiah was their father. Now that they know, however, it only makes them both all the more determined to atone for the sins of their past and the past of their father. The Golden Enchantress is also currently romantically involved with most recent Icons-sign-on Miracle-Maker... much to Lord Rapid's annoyance.

Personalities: Both twins have high levels of intelligence, bravery and loyalty to their friends but also have pretty nasty tempers when riled and are almost obsessed with making up for their villainous pasts. However....

Lord Rapid is the more arrogant, impatient and somewhat easier to anger of the siblings. He also happens to be overly protective of his sister and keeps no secrets about the fact that he does NOT like Miracle-Maker.

the Golden Enchantress is the more romantic twin and geniunely adores Miracle-Maker. She is also the somewhat calmer of the twins a good deal of the time and the only one who's really able keep Lord Rapid in check a good deal of the time.

Based On: Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch

Pet(s) Names: Casper (Lord Rapid's pet) and Angelique (Golden Enchantress's pet)

Species: Hamster (Casper) and Owl (Angelique in normal form)

Abilities: Casper can fly under his own power (top speed: 600 miles per hour) and turn invisible and/or intangible at will. Angelique has the ability to assume mental control over anybody who looks directly into her eyes (and maintain control for up to ten minutes) as well as the ability to control the element of wind within her immediate area and the ability to change into any other animal species for up to a half hour at a time (while precisely duplicating the natural abilities of the animal in question [though she can't use her mind control or wind control powers in the form of another animal]). Both animals also age about the same rate as a normal human (which is noticably more slowly than normal animals in their species).

Background: Casper and Angelique were a hamster and owl possessed of mutant abilities that came to the attention of Messiah's pet squirrel, Dynamo, who recruited the two animals into his master's animal division ot the Inner Circle of Mutant Liberators. It was here where they first met Lord Rapid and the Golden Enchantress. It didn't take long for Lord Rapid to hit it off with Casper (as Lord Rapid called him because of his seemingly ghost-like abilities) and even less time for the Golden Enchantress to hit it off with Angelique (which she named the owl simply because she thought it sounded like a good name). In fact, when Lord Rapid and Golden Enchantress reformed and left the Inner Circle, Casper and Angelique didn't hesitate to follow. The two mutant animals STILL operate with the twins to this day.

Personality: Both Casper and Angelique share the same intelligence, bravery, loyalty to their friends, nasty tempers when upset and desire to atone for the past as their respective master and mistress. The two mutant animals, however, can barely stand each other and only tolerate each other at all because of the fact their owners insisted they do their best to get along.

Description: Much like a normal gold-furred hamster or brown-feathered owl.

    Villain Name: The Cerebral Sultan

Abilities/Equipment: Super-genius intellect; Ability to assume complete mental control over anybody he touches (though the mind control effect wears off after an hour); Ability to stay in telepathic contact with anybody he's presently controlling regardless of distance (which is how he gives them their orders from afar; Nearly unlimited arsenal of high tech tools which includes a highly advanced computer, assorted ray guns an army of super-powerful robots and a super-high-tech satellite headquarters with a cloaking device rendering it invisible to the unaided eye as well as to radar and sonar.

Origin: Was once a mere janitor until he was caught in the same accident that first turned Doctor Daniel Stockman into the Invincible Kluh. Unlike Stockman's Kluh form, however, the janitor was infused with an immensely augmented mind and a mania for global power (and find a way to add the Kluh's power to his own). After amassing a vast fortune (via a variety of means; not all of which were exactly ethical) to finance his equipment and schemes, the janitor, now calling himself the Cerebral Sultan, set forth on his dual quest to steal the Kluh's power and conquer the world. More than once, he's come very close to fufilling both goals, proving a very formidable foe for the Kluh, Lady Kluh or Lady Kluh's Icons' teammates.

Personality: Extremely intelligent (intelligent enough to be well aware of his physical fraility [hence his obsession with stealing the Kluh's power and his major reliance on super-high-tech weapons and/or mentally dominiated "helpers"]) and megalomaniacal, but can also be surprisingly charming when calm and is known to be ultra-subtle in his approaches to his schemes.

    Based on: the Leader.

    Pet's Name: Caesar

    Species: Pit bull terrier.

Abilities: Super-genius intelligent; Ability to take control of any living creature with a touch of his front paws (though the effect wears off after an hour); Ability to maintain a telepathic link with the creatures he controls at any given time) Ability to morph into a super-strong, virtually indestructible, super-clawed monster capable of very powerful leaps at will (while still retaining the intelligence and mental manipulation talent).

Background: In one of his first attempts to steal the Kluh's power, the Cerebral Sultan had the hero on the ropes when Doggie (who happened to be around at the time) charged in, fought his way through about six of the villain's robot underlings and smashed the villain into his own machines. The resulting overload of the machines caught the Cerebral Sultan AND Doggie and unleashed a blast containing samples of their combined powers which nailed a small pit bull terrier dead on. With the help of some remaining robots, the villain escaped even though he was unconscious but nearly dead.

The pit bull that was hit, however, saw this and, morphing into a more powerful and fearsome form, gave chase to the robots carrying their creator to safety. One of the robots saw this, however, and unleashed a powerful immobilizer ray that held the dog in place long enough to be captured (the robot concluding that its creator may find some use out of the dog once he was back up and around).

Sure enough, after the Cerebral Sultan was healed up (a process sped up immensely by his machines), he was briefed of the pursuing dog, who was now back in "normal" form, but showing mental capacities far beyond those of a normal dog his breed. When it was discovered that this pit bull had the powers of both him AND Doggie (and, better yet, the powers the pit bull got from HIM didn't diminish in the other form), the villain decided to take the dog in as a pet and train said dog over to HIS side. Naming the dog "Caesar", the Cerbral Sultan trained the dog well and the dog became his most loyal ally (as well as one of his most formidable).

Personality: Except for absolute loyalty to his master and not having the physical frailty issue, Caesar isn't much different from his master, actually.

Description: Much like an average pit bull terrier in normal form while a massive green werewolf in "monster form".

Good addition, Mammal_Mage. I thought of putting in a Super-Skrull counterpart myself, but wasn't sure how to do it. I'm glad you were able to think of something.

    Anyway, here's my next one:

    Villain Name: the Gruesome Gargantuan

Abilities: Immeasurable physical strength (perhaps the only being with strength equal to that of the Invincible Kluh); Near-invulnerability; Ability to breathe atomic fire; Ultra-sharp retractable claws capable of rending even the Kluh's nearly invulnerable body: immensely powerful super-leaps; Highly skilled hand-to-hand combatant; Weapons' expert (Admittedly he rarely needs weapons nowadays, but he does still have this skill left over from his "normal terrorist" days and does his best to keep the skill sharp).

Origin: Was once a relatively normal terrorist until he ws exposed to the same gamma-radiation explosion that created the Kluh, Doggie and the Cerebral Sultan. As a result, the terrorist gained all the same powers as the Kluh (with the added abilities of flame breath and retractable ultra-claws). Unlike the Kluh, however, the terrorist lacked the ability to resume his normal form (not that he would WANT TO) and still retained his previous intelligence in monster form. In his new form, the terrorist was referred to as a "Gruesome Gargantuan" and the name ended up sticking. Since then, this powerful villain has done battle with the Kluh time and again (and has also taken on the Kluh's cousin, Lady Kluh and her comrades in the Icons on more than one occasion), proving to be a truly formidable man-monster indeed.

Personality: Arrogant, Cunning, cruel, fearless and greedy.

    Based on: the Abomination.

    Pet's Name: Cerebus

    Species: Mutated Rottweiler (male)

Abilities: Immeasurable strength; Near-invulnerability; Atomic flame breath; Ultra-sharp retractable claws (and equally sharp NON-retractable teeth); Super-leaping

Background: Knowing that the Kluh sometimes (not usually, but sometimes) had the help of Doggie and all of the Icons had super-powered animals either as pets or at least still as occasional helpers, the Gruesome Gargantuan decided to get a pet of his own; picking out a Rottweiler that he was confident he could train. Once he trained the dog to be absolutely loyal to him, the Gruesome Gargantuan then used his own claws to cut a small hole in his skin (his hide's too tough for conventional cutting tools) and get a sample of his own highly energized blood to inject into the Rottweiler and his powers ended being successfully copied onto the dog, just as he had hoped. Naming the mutated Rottweiler Cerebus (after the infamous monster dog of the Netherworld), the Gruesome Gargantuan now had a faithful, but fearsome companion able to give any animal hero a very hard time.

Personality: Apart from his absolute loyalty to the Gruesome Gargantuan, not really that different from his master.

Description: Used to look exactly like a normal Rottweiler, but now very strongly resembles a large dark-green werewolf with a black spiked collar.
