Couldn't resist joining in. :-)
Heroic identity: Jeremiah Steele.
Abilities/Equipment: Superhuman strength and durability. His skin is so tough that conventional weapons (bullets, knives, etc.) don’t even faze him. Steele also has a healing factor that allows him to spring back from disease and injury should he actually be hurt somehow. A gifted fighter and athlete.
Origin: Jeremiah started out a street hood until sent to a notorious prison for a crime he didn’t commit. A group of scientists offered him a deal – he would be granted freedom if he volunteered to undergo potentially dangerous experiments that, if successful, would give him superpowers. He accepted the offer. However, a corrupt guard attempted to kill Steele by tampering with the experiment, but the effect was quite the opposite. Instead, Steele was endowed with greatly enhanced physical stats, most notably his strength, endurance, and durability. Not realizing the extents of his new super-strength, he attacked the guard and killed him, and became the first prisoner ever to escape Underwood Penitentiary. He decided to hide out in order to avoid being spotted by the authorities. After being rewarded for helping foil a bank robbery and getting his name cleared, he adopted a costume and became a mercenary superhero.
Personality: Is fiercely stubborn, and has a noticeably short temper that he tries to keep in check. He’s a little rough around the edges, but his heart is in the right place.
Marvel hero the character is based on: Luke Cage.
Species: Boxer/rottweiler/smooth collie mix.
Abilities/Equipment: Supreme strength, endurance, and durability, enough to shrug off anything short of armor-piercing bullets. In that case (and fortunately for Bandit), his healing abilities are far superior to any normal dog. Depending on the severity of an injury that he should happen to get, it can take as long as a few days to a month for him to completely heal. Can be a very fierce combatnant.
Origin: Bandit was a test animal being used by the same scientists who had inadvertently given Jeremiah Steel his powers. Steele decided to take the dog with him when he escaped Underwood penitentiary. The dog, who he named Bandit, became a good friend and loyal ally to Steele.
Personality: Bandit is tough as nails (heh, literally). He won’t back down from a fight, is just as street smart as his master, and very faithful to him to boot. Bandit has a temper too, but he can control his better then Steel. Something of a smart aleck.
Physical description: A rottweiler/smooth collie/boxer mix who's built similarly to Krypto. Has semi-long fur that is largely black, save for a white ring around his right eye and fawn markings on his muzzle, chest, and paws. Has a bushy tail (like a collie's), and a muzzle that’s longer then a boxer's but shorter then a collie’s. Wears a red bandanna tied around his head.
