  • Ace, unwillingly, shows his less serious side...

    9.7
Krypto and Ace once again team up to take down the Joker's hyenas, Bud and Lou. This time, however, they're first distracted by a "Sack-a-Laughs", which had to be shaken to work. Thus, Ace interrogates Jimmy, the rat, and figures out exactly what they're after. Lately, they've been robbing joke stores, and at their next robbery, Krypto and Ace show up to greet them. Unfortunately, as all KtS plots go, something amiss is about to happen. By spraying Bathound with a special bubble compound ("Giggle Bubbles"), they cause him to laugh uncontrollably, even at things that aren't even that funny, which seems a step further than really necessary, but still...anyways, with Ace too "occupied" to fight crime, Krypto tries to figure out exactly where Bud and Lou will strike next. Ace, being a tough crime-fighter, manages to help at intervals, but inevitably can't stop laughing. Finally, Krypto tries to convince Ace that if he doesn't stop, he'll never be accepted by Batman again. Even after that, Ace can't seem to control himself, so Krypto goes in alone, falling into a trap (which I'll talk about in a second). Ace finally stops the laughing by using onions, capturing the hyenas.

The afformentioned trap plays a bit of a plot hole here. Krypto, with all of his strength, can't seem to stop the giant set of teeth (a joke themed episode, after all). Come on...this is Superdog. He can lift up cruise ships, push entire asteroids out of the way. Yet a store display stops him? Well...still, it makes for a nice episode where the aim isn't to be serious. I give this a 9.7/10moreless
