  • Kevin loses the communicator, and Krypto has to find it. Metropolis is a big city, so where could it be?

Kevin's lucky to have Krypto, mostly because of the fact that he can talk to him using his special intergalactic communicator. But one day, while walking Krypto (walking for them is more like flying), a mid-air flip causes him to lose it, and Krypto goes about the city, frantically trying to find it. The problem is that it lands into the hands of Bernie, a zoo worker who's constantly ignored and abused by the animals he works with. Hoping to be friends with a monkey in the zoo once he discovers what the device does, he gets tricked into letting him out and gets trapped. Albert, the sneaky monkey, takes his keys and releases all of the animals. Krypto, after bringing back the lion that got loose, finds Bernie, and tells him about the communicator. In exchange for helping him wrangle up all the animals, Bernie promises to give Superdog the communicator back. After doing their duty, Krypto brings the device back to Kevin, but is too tired to talk anymore, despite Kevin's constant prodding.

Yet another one of my favorites, this episode features a few interesting things. The animals from Krypto's Scrypto are back, and it also conveys something important that I should say. I'm sure many people mistake this fact for reality, but it seems there's never any reference of Kevin's intergalactic communicator, which makes it seem like he talks to Krypto naturally. This episode proves them wrong, of course, and makes a point to tell them that it's a detail not left out. Watch this one, and you'll be glad you did. 10/10moreless
