    • QUOTES (6)

      • Peter: I can't even believe you're considering becoming a ghostbuster!
Caine: Evil can manifest itself in many ways, as you well know.

      • Caine: You have the power of the universe in your hands. You must it use gently.

      • Kermit: The rumor that I live under a rock and only talk to computer modems is highly exaggerated.

      • The Ancient: Powerful forces are at work here. We can not stop them.
Caine: We are not here to stop them but to understand them, still their rage and their agony.

      • Kermit: (referring to his sister Marilyn) She's a real knockout, isn't she?
        Peter: Yeah.
        Kermit: A very special lady.
        Peter: Uh-huh.
Kermit: If you touch her, I'll be forced to terminate your existence.
Peter: (muttering softly as Kermit walks away) It's gonna be a long weekend.

      • Peter: (about Kincaid's arrival) What idiot would transfer him to a Fort Apache precinct in Chinatown?
Commissioner: The idiot who fathered him.
Peter: (wincing noticeably) My apologies, Commissioner.

    • ALLUSIONS (2)

      • Dukes of Hazzard

At one point, Caine goes into a room of the house he is staying at with the show playing on an unseen TV and a lunchbox displaying characters from the show on the front. Dukes of Hazzard was a popular action/comedy TV show centered around the adventures of cousins trying to outfox corrupt county officials with the aid of a stock car they drove.

      • Lone Ranger
When Kincaid gives Peter silver bullets before his trip, Peter jokes that he probably should wear a mask when he uses them. The Lone Ranger was a radio serial turned into a popular western TV show with a mask wearing hero dispensing justice in the western frontier and showing silver bullets as his calling card.
