  • This is one of my favorite episodes of the entire series. An awesome look at just what makes Kermit tick.

This is one of my favorite episodes of the entire series. When Kermit and the Captain are trapped in an elevator with a jerk and a pregnant lady during an earthquake, tensions run high. Toward the end, when Kermit is up on top of the elevator with the captain, the pregnant woman begins to cry and the guy down there with her starts yelling at her. Kermit jumps down from on top of the elevator and slams the idiot against the wall. He tells him that if she wants to cry, let her cry. LEAVE HER ALONE!!! I just love Kermit. And this is just one moment in this spectacular episode.moreless

    • Strenlich: What's going on, did I win the lottery?
Peter: Well if you did, Chief, drinks are on you at Chandler's tonight!

    • Karen: So Blaisdell decided that those deadly unique skills coupled with your computer wizardry made you excellent cop potential?
Kermit: He needed a friend close at hand who understood his past. I needed a job where I could disappear into the bureaucracy. Read my file, Captain, if you want more information.
Karen: I would. There isn't one.

    • Peter: I didn't realize you cared so much.
Jody: How would you know? You're so wrapped up in your life, your work, your relationship with your father, your on-again off-again love affair with Kelly. Why would you look over your shoulder and notice anyone else?

    • Peter: You think they'll negotiate?
      Caine: I do not.
Peter: So back to plan A.
      Caine: What is plan A?
Peter: We beat the hell out of them.
      Caine: Ahhh!

    • Caine: Only a man who understands he does not see the light will step away from his chosen path.
Paulson: What, and embrace the light?
      Caine: Accept it.
Paulson: I think you should understand accept that this is your last day on earth. You and your son.
Caine: That is the only way to live every day.

    • Caine: Heroism is simply a matter of facing the truth.

    • Karen: You always carry emergency lighting with you?
Kermit: Boy scouts and old mercenaries are always prepared.

    • Karen: It's your wake up call, Kermit.
Kermit: Five minutes, Captain. If I can crack this code, there's a German U-boat at the bottom of the Atlantic loaded with Nazi treasures that I can salvage on my day off.

    • Karen: Why do you make it so difficult for people to get close ? I'd like to get to know you better.
      Kermit: No, you wouldn't.

    • Snyder: I've never known anyone who wears sunglasses indoors. Poor eyesight?
Kermit: They block out personalities that grate on my corneas.
