      • (Shinkurou is chasing a man)
Shinkurou: You don't mind hot places, right? For someone who has the nerve to stalk, I have the perfect country to send you off to.
Man: I won't give up to someone like...
Shinkurou: I'm a dispute mediator who carries out his jobs without fail. The next time you run off, you'll be exiled to a deserted island in some distant sea! So, just give up.

      • Benika: Is school really that fun?
Shinkurou: You're talking about that again?
        Benika: That's right.
        Shinkurou: What about jobs?
Benika: You're short on money already?
        Shinkurou: Very...
Benika: What about the pay from the other day - A thank you gift, was it? (Shinkurou looks at her) It's all right, it was only meant as a thanks. So, did you buy something?
        Yayoi: A television
        Shinkurou: Yayoi-san!
        Yayoi: A 15-inch LCD television.
        Benika: That's tiny.

      • (Murasaki and Shinkurou is in his one-room apartment)
Murasaki: Where is my room? Take me to it?
        Shinkurou: It's here
Murasaki: What? Then where's the bedroom?
        Shinkurou: Here.
        Murasaki: The dining room?
        Shinkurou: Here.
        Murasaki: The living room?
        Shinkurou: Here.
        Murasaki: And the bath?
        Shinkurou: There isn't one.
Murasaki: Are you treating me like a fool just because I'm a child?

      • Shinkurou: (about the small skull Yamie has as a necklace) I've been thinking about this for a while now, but, is that skull real?
        Yamie: This?
        Shinkurou: Yes
Yamie: This was a part of the man I loved. He was a really sincere man. He became a freelance journalist in order to convey the truths of the world. He used to tell me many unusual stories, too. But, he met a terrible end. It happened when he went to a country in turmoil. He stepped on a land mine it seems. I suppose it's my way of mourning him.
Shinkurou: I apologize for asking something so strange.
Yamie: That was a pretty good story I just made up, no?
        Shinkurou: Huh?
Yamie: Would a grown man's skull really be this size? No matter how you look at it, it obviously belongs to a monkey or something else. Use some more common sense.
