Episode Summary

After the explosion of the house where Nikita goes looking for her father, she enlists Walter and Jason to help decrypt the disc she discovered there. It leads her to the convalescence home where Michael left Adrian, which proves fortunate for Nikita, since she needs a cure for the longterm affects of the Gelman process that can only be synthesized using tissue samples from Adrian's remains. Now the only questions that remain is who is leaving Nikita these clues, Michael or Nikita's father? And is O'Brien on Nikita's side, or Operations?moreless

  • They are getting it up - and it is getting more and more exciting. It is different but good

The first half of the episode was very different and quite special - it almost look like they are not concentrating on any mission any more and it is all about Nikita and her search to find out who she is and why she is in Section. And they are developing a story finally.

And the story is interesting and we not only get some action, excitement, Walter in action (out of his inventory) and O'Brian is getting more friendly and building his trust. i am quite liking that character. Quinn is doing what she always does - new Operations' pet. And in the second half of the episode, they will have mission too.

But the most promising about this episode was defenetly the hint on Adrian storyline. We all know she was somewhere out there and I hoped that they will brought her back at the end of the 4th season as it should be finalizing things and I so hoped that she will help them to bring down Section now. But it seems she is dead. or at least 98% if believe Walter's equipment. So, it we can say 2% that she might be alive.

And there and too many hints that Michael is behind that. What master plan is he building?moreless
  • OK

Another just OK episode. Nikita gets mentally fubared and can't concentrated on her job. Walter and Obrien help to cure her and she gets a shiny new necklace transmitter from Adrian's grave.

Soon a spooky voice starts to communicate with her and brings her back from the edge of mental shutdown. Is it Michael? Is it Mr. Jones? Where do people get those crazy voice scramblers at anyway?

OBrien realizes that maybe Nikita isn't so bad at all and this totally miffs off Operations. I guess he's never heard about catching more flies with honey, but whatever. Quinn is still his little lapdaog and more annoying with each episode.moreless

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

  • TRIVIA (3)

  • QUOTES (4)

    • Nikita: I need your help.
Jason: Sooner or later, they all need my help. That's why I'm called the Love Doctor. Just tell me exactly when...
Nikita: (interrupting) I need this decrypted.
      Jason: Off book?
      Nikita: Way off.
Jason: What's in it for me?
Nikita: Absolutely nothing. Your brother was a good man. I'm hoping you are too.
Jason: I only met my brother once. In the short time we had together, he spent half the time talking about you. I'll do what I can.

    • Quinn: So... why don't you trust O'Brien?
Operations: I don't trust any man where Nikita's concerned. She has a way of turning heads... Michael, Birkoff, Walter. Thank God there are no other female operatives with that effect.

    • Operations: Why did you cover for her?
O'Brien: To get her trust. She's hiding something. Walter's helping. Maybe this way I can find out what it is.
Operations: I'm glad to see you're not falling into the same trap Michael did.
O'Brien: (snorts) Not likely. If it wasn't for Nikita, I'd still be living on the outside fat, dumb, and happy. I owe her big time.

    • Jason: Hey, darling. If you need someone to look under your hood, I'm your man. I'm Jason, from Oversight.
Jasmine: I'm Jasmine, from 'Not Interested'.

  • NOTES (2)

    • Music Used In This Episode:
"The Cost Of Freedom" - Experiment (during the mission at the chemical plant)
"Badimo" - Juno Reactor (as Nikita sets the detonator with help from an unknown person)
