  • Another episode what had much action but the the plot missed something.

I do not know why, but this episode just did not amazed me at all - it was all somehow very confusing and making me really wonder, what just happened. Usually I can not even turn my eyes from the screen but this episode - it just did not attracted me at all.

The story is first somehow pointless but the great turn is brought in when we learn that a man, who was dealing with Section took Madeline as hostage and Michael, who was send to kill that man, has to be stopped in order to save her. (Operations is having a weakness as we learn). So, mostly this episode is operatives trying to kill Michael, Nikita trying to stop them and bring Michael back (and he just does not come), Michael trying to do everything himself. Oh.. I just feel there is not much to say - they saved everyone in the end but it doesn't save it to me. Confusing and somehow boring episode.moreless

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

  • TRIVIA (2)

    • Madeline seemingly makes her heart stop beating to extort pain medication from Enquist. There are some practices, such as yoga, that can teach one to slow one's heart rate significantly. It's likely Madeline used that kind of discipline to slow her heart rate enough to scare Enquist into giving her what she wanted.

    • In this episode, they begin to hint at a personal relationship between Madeline and Operations. In fact, the Chapter Title for the opening scene is "A Hint Of Togetherness" on the official season 2 DVD of this episode.

  • QUOTES (4)

    • Nikita: (when Madeline chews her out for acting autonomously) Had Michael been allowed to proceed, none of this would have happened. Enquist would have been killed, and so would you. It was Operations who acted on emotion. Because of you, he tried to stop Michael.
Madeline: His mistake doesn't justify yours.
      Nikita: (disbelievingly) His mistake?!

    • Madeline: (when being hooked up to a torture device) An RT unit. A little archaic, but effective. I think they still use them in a few Third World countries. You must have gotten it for a good price.
Enquist: (to the man setting the device up) Hurry up.
Madeline: (when the needles are inserted) You're a little low. It should go on the C-2 vertebrae, not C-3.

    • Michael: We haven't talked in a while.
      Nikita: What's up?
Michael: We should go out, have dinner.
Nikita: I would love to know how your mind works. Are really that arrogant to think that you can turn me on and off at will?
Michael: Of course not. I am just being careful.
      Nikita: (incredulously) Careful?!

    • Nikita: Two days ago you asked me out for dinner, Michael. Obviously you've changed your mind.
Michael: If it were anyone else that came after me, I would have killed them. I cannot allow you to become my weakness.
      Nikita: Of course not.
