    • Simon and Karl operate under the name Black Sun.

    • We see the first hint of back channel communications and maneuvering between Madeline and George in this episode.

    • In this episode, Operations learns that his son, Steven Wolfe, was killed by one of the terrorists Section has one their green list.

    • The words Nikita saw in the picture on her wall in the end of the episode are 'execute', 'trust' and 'obey'. In the first version of the script, there were also 'good', 'restore', 'humanity' and 'us', but they were from the final cut removed.

  • Notes

    • The appearance of wrestler Val Venis (also known as Sean Morley) in this episode was part of a cross-promotion with USA Network, which was also the home of WWF Superstars of Wrestling.

    • There are three deleted scenes from this episode included in the season three DVD set. The first shows Operations killing Martelli, but they use a different actor, and a piece of communications equipment. In the second, the Devos come in to work on Karl, and he laughs hysterically at them. The third is a love scene between Nikita and Karl.
