  • Very fine entertainment. A program to make the world envy the UK!

    10
Delightful to watch the flower of british maidenhood desporting themselves with gusto and verve under the influence. Such antics! Such consumption! Such lovely, sweet and tender flesh. It's absolutely mouth-watering! The ladettes are a credit to the nation and the Queen, a symbol of everything good and wholesome in England today. The spectacle of their charms will be a joy forever. But O! how vile to see Hardball and Shrager spoil their lovely fun! It just isn't natural to want to sober up such exquisite specimens. Subversives! that's waht they are. They obviously work for Al-Qaeda. Let England hold its head high once again and be proud among the nations of the earth. For it has shown the world the true superiority of british womanhood!moreless
  • A show where wild and out-going girls go to Eggleston Hall Finishing School to learn to be real ladies.

    7.0
British ladettes are sent to Eggleston Hall Finishing School to learn how to be real ladies. There they learn cookery, etiquette, poise, language etc... in order for them to transform from legless Ladettes to pretty clean Ladies. For some it is hard obeying the rules and doing what the finishing school has to offer. Generally, if the girls behave they will be allowed out to a local pub, which usually for most turns into a disaster. Many of the ladettes get so drunk, they come back after their curfew. Each week one ladette is expelled if they don't live up to the standards of Eggleston Hall Finishing School. Still, quite funny to watch because you see how silly they look and is interesting to see who makes and who doesn't.moreless
  • The concept may sound promising but the show is overly trashy

    6.0
The series follows a group of ladettes (i.e. loud, foul-mouthed, uncultured and unpleasant women, who like to drink and smoke and who are often sexually promiscuous) in Britain, who are given an old-fashioned five-week course in learning how to behave like a real lady. They are sent to Eggleston Hall, a finishing school for women situated in Teesdale, England. Eggleston Hall was specially re-opened in order to try and change the ladettes' habits. While the ingredients for the show may sound hopeful; it's just wasted on a generally bad show. The posh women who act as their teachers are not in the least bit helpful nor caring; their primary objective is to humiliate them and promote as much misery as possible.

The girls themselves may be physically attractive but they just act so disgustingly with the heavy drinking, yelling, swearing and general smut; they're painful to watch.

A small amount of enjoyment can be found in the various tasks the ladettes have to complete on the road to becoming ladies in areas like deportment, elocution, needlework, flower arranging, etiquette and cookery. Unfortunately these are heavily edited down to include as much of the random debauchery as possible.

One ladette is axed or "expelled" each week and if you choose you get attached to one or more of them then you'll find a reason to keep watching not that too many good qualities emerge from the Ladettes. Ladette to Lady will appeal to some but overall it's just vulgar TV.moreless
  • A 'Ladette' is a new kind of female, one who behaves like a lad. She drinks heavily, she's loud, she smokes, she sleeps around, she's foul mouthed and she loves football and rock 'n' roll.moreless

    8.0
A group of eight ladettes are sent to the newly re-opened Eggleston Hall Ladies' Finishing School to be taught how to be ladies.

During this five week diploma course they will learn how to speak like a lady and lose their cockney accents, floristry, dress making, deportment, sexual etiquette and under go cooking classes - Cordon Bleu style. The ladette's performances during each lesson will be assessed by the staff weekly. The girls must impress in and out of the classroom to avoid being expelled. During their course they will be hosting dinner parties and attending events with some of Britain's most wealthy bachelors. The alcohol's flowing and there are plenty of hormones and for some ladettes this proves to be too much temptation. Old habits die hard!

The remaining three ladettes will be invited to the graduation ceremony where they will model ball gowns they sewed themselves, to show their newly acquired sewing and deportment skills, and make a speech to their peers, minus their cockney accents and foul language. The ladette who shows the most dramatic change wins.moreless

    Ladettes ready to disgrace

As in the UK series, the girls were classed in deportment, elocution, flower arranging, etiquette and cookery all with lashings of profanity, tantrums and disrespect.
