An interesting episode. This reminds me of a "Lost" type of episode years later (in Season 2 when Jack and others find that high tech communications room).

Steve and Fitzhugh find this room and think they can send a message to earth. They are right about this as several transmissions go through. However , the transmissions are being monitored by the Giants security police.

They eventually capture Steve and they try to use a special
chemical (which basically looks like shaving cream on him).

The only drawback to the chemical is that it kills if it stays in much contact with the skin.

A decent episode but the whole thing with the Giants developing this chemical was a bit silly. All they had to do was torture Steve a bit and he surely would have had to give any information he had. However, one thing the writers did do consistentl is not portray the Giants as smart beings.
