  • A new set piece, a mysterious stranger, suspense, and kooky special effects. A very memorable episode.

I loved this episode. The first couple of minutes are not all that great, as we get treated to some really crappy recorder-playing by Cha-Ka. Rick gives the standard short speech about not making fun of Cha-Ka's lack of musical ability because Pakuni are not as evolved as humans are. From there, it picks up quickly as the Marshalls and Cha-Ka set out to explore the "temple" they discovered over by the Lost City in a prior episode.

The set for the "temple" is small, but really cool and nice to look at. There are little teases as to who exactly built it scattered here and there. Will at first thinks it was Sleestak, but they all agree it must have been humans after they discover a panel with human handprints on it. The panel is embedden in a stone wall on top of what appears to be some kind of secret doorway. They can't figure out how to open it, even though Holly finds that her hand perfectly fits the handprint. This certainly leaves everyone, including the audience, as to what this place is all about.

Cha-Ka manages to climb up to the panel, and appears as if he's about to touch the handprint when the camera cuts away to the Marshalls. Then we hear him scream, and find that somehow the stone wall opened up for Cha-Ka, revealing a secret doorway to a secret room. No one has any clue to expect as to what will happen next.

In the secret room, they find what appears to be a giant stone slab that resembles a matrix table, but without the crystals. Will discovers another secret back room connected to the main one, and finds a shiny metallic human-like bust that looks like a mannequin. Meanwhile, the stone table lights up and Cha-Ka presses its colored panels, which make musical tones. A ruby red ring suddenly appears on the table, much to Cha-Ka and Holly's surprise. Holly tries it on and discovers that it won't come off. They all leave, and then a creepy looking red humanoid figure appears. The audience has no clue as to what this creature is, or its intentions. The Marshalls will get an idea, but not until after Holly goes into a trance and other odd things start happening.
