Enik was originally going to be called Eneg which is Gene spelled backwards (in honor of Gene Roddenberry) by writer Walter (Chekov) Koenig but the producers changed this as too obvious.
Rick(shaking): What you're doing to us now - attacking our minds - isn't this just as bad as the physical violence that eventually destroyed your people?
Enik: You gave me no choice.
Rick: Enik, when you go back to the others to explain how to keep their anger in check, tell them that it's allright to destroy those who oppose them, as long as it's done dispassionately - without feeling, without anger.
Enik: I do not understand.
Rick: It is not the absence of hate that will save your people, but it is the presence of compassion, and of feeling. And if you can't grasp that, then your race is doomed forever, no matter what you do.
Enik: There is only one doorway. Either you shall return, or I shall. I must return, for I must warn my people.
Will: What do you mean, warn your people?
Enik: I must warn my kind that what lies in store for them is war and self-destruction. Then perhaps we can yet teach ourselves to curb anger, and hate, and so ensure survival in our world.
Enik: I have made a grave error. When I fell through the time vortex, I did not go back in time - I went forward. This is my city. The Sleestak are not my ancestors. They are the barbaric descendents of a people who could no longer keep their anger in check, and eventually destroyed my past. This is not the past. This is my future.
Enik: It is the failure of the human race. They are quick to do battle, and quick to destroy. That is why they are inferior.
This is the first time a matrix table is shown.
The Marshalls learn from Enik that blue and green crystals can combine to produce a force field.
