  • Discouraging...

    4.0
"Heroes" had a great amount of suspense on whether our main characters would return; but the first 5 minutes just ruined whatever surprise was anticipated, one of the 5 saying hello, explaining something we hadn't heard(!) about another one of the 5 and spoiling a great part of the story. Anyhow, the way Ed said his goodbye was too little for him, and Maricruz from PB is just not going to fill in for Mary, duh, 22?!?! Whoever says Cooper talks like Ed, please think again, what does this guy have to do with Ed? Does anyone think LV will catch on the same spirit again?moreless
  • I thought this episode was absolutely wonderful.

    10
I loved the storyline and the storyboard I thought it was exciting. Now about Ed Deline leaving why did he leave? O yes now I remember their going to throw him in Jail if he comes back so I hope Ed does come back. So I got another question why did Delinda vomit?. So I think that the Detective was over reacting when he was trying Danny thrown in Jail. So I loved every scene down to the split second. I liked the beginning when their was a shoot out in the Hotel an I love Action so thats why I like the first part of the episode. I give this episode two thumbs up.moreless
  • Two one-hour shows tacked together - One to wrap up all the open cliff-hangers and the second to introduce the new boss.

    7.4
The series has a new cowboy sheriff, and it appears new writers who don't know the characters.

Ed decides to risk his entire future for Mary's mental well being, and loses that bet by using his own car and keeping the gun ? Phuleese - the Ed we know is much smarter then that.

Pregnant Delinda goes right back to work after finding out that her father is now a wanted murderer and her mother will not be around for her pregnancy ?

Sam, who is used to wrapping billionaires around her fingers and can work for any casino in town tomorrow gets all flustered talking to this cowboy ?

Mike, the computer wiz, just sits by when Danny erases the tapes, without telling him that he can't get away with it like that ?

"Anything Can Happen" may be the right catchphrase for this season ... character continuity be damned.

That said - it wasn't bad, but I would have rather seen it in two episodes - "end" one series and start with the "new" people the next week.moreless
  • We pick up right from season 4.

    9.0
Ed, Danny and Mary are all at the shooting scene of Mary's father, Delinda is running for her life from the explosion that's ripping through the 37th floor of the Montecito, Sam is being kidnapped whilst Mike fails in trying to rescue her, oh and we still have the Montecito being robbed by gunmen.

The story is told in a 2 hour special ( which include's episode two Shrink Rap ) with Sam as the narrator telling her now psychiatrist what eventually happened to Mary, Ed, Delinda and Danny, the robbery oh and her own kidnapping.

Ed tracks down the culprits who robbed his casino, Danny finds out Delinda is pregnant but is also closely tracked by a detective following Mary's fathers shooting, Mary is on the run and Mike is trying to get to the bottom of who really killed Mary's father.

Oh and we have a new owner of the Montecito.moreless
  • Typical Las Vegas. Great opener. Shame about Mike.

    9.5
WOW. Las Vegas has always had that fast paced wow factor and this season opener is no exception.

In true LV fashion, they don't dwell on the 'yucky' stuff they just gloss over it with a quick humorous conclusion and get on with telling the story.

As you'll recall, we left season 4 with a whole bunch of cliff-hangers!

. One of Danny's troubled ex-Marine buddies came to town and blew up his room

    . Someone robbed the Montecito

. Mary went gunning for her pedophile father

. Sam inherited the Montecito from Kasey when he was swallowed by a giant squid

. The IRS are demanding $240 million in back taxes

And last but most horrifying of all (well to me anyway)

. Sam was bound, gagged, drugged, put in a trunk and abducted

So, now the Montecito has a hole - a whole lot less moola - an events director who's a fugitive from the law and the most annoying obnoxious cop in the history of cops is looking for her and ready to pin her dear old dads death on Danny if that's what it takes - a New new owner fresh off the ranch - and Sam? Well, Sam's a take charge kinda girl; she saw her opportunity while the sod who abducted her was getting his jollies and 'splattered' him over the Nevada landscape. Loved it!!!

Except Mike as usual....that guy so presses all the wrong buttons with me. We have Sam for self-absorbed and superficial, Mike is redundant.moreless

    • Ed: (After tazering Buck Terry) Where's my money?
Buck: I don't have any idea what you're talking about.
Ed: (Tazers him again) That's just a little taste compared to the pain I'm gonna put on your ass. If you don't start talking, I'm gonna hook this up to your nuts and fry'em like prairie oysters.

    • Sam: (About Vince Peterson) Where did he land?
Detective: He didn't actually land, as much as he did splat...
      Sam: Nice!
