Viva Las Vegas
AIRED:
In the third season premiere, Ed's got major problems as the revamped Montecito struggles to finish work in time to re-open on new boss' Monica Mancuso's (Lara Flynn Boyle) schedule as he also tries to lure back Danny and his former staff to prevent a suspected "smash-and-grab" heist that has hit other casinos. But convincing Danny and the gang proves to be difficult since each has his or her reasons for leaving, and what's more, Ed suspects two construction hard-hats are planning an inside robbery once the Montecito's doors swing open again amid much fanfare.moreless

I wont pretend to love Las Vegas.infact, prior to watching this episode i thought Las Vegas was a terrible show with no heart.Things changed after i watched this episode.right now Las Vegas is in its fifth season and im way behind. i want to catch up but the last seven episodes ive watched have been lame and not well written.i keep trying to look for the season three openner episode airing on cabel but so far havnt seen it.i suppose i could rent the entire third season to see it again.i just dont want to rent a season that has only four or five good episodes.moreless
  • a slow start to pick up again the bit

    9.1
A slow start for this new seasson but this series has all the potential that it needs. The reunion of all the cast memebers exept some of them is hasr to understand. In this show we see hor new faces are coming in to shake up the cast but personally i do not like them.

    I liked this episode.

It's a pity that Nessa is out of the serie, but she wasn't my favorite so that's not a real big deal.

I'm glad the rest of the cast is still there.

I really laughed about Mike in his silly costume! He looked like a true clown.

I don't know what to think about Monica. I do hope she will listen to Ed in the future. He has a lot more experience then she does when it comes to running a casino, so it might be good for her to learn from Ed.

I also hope that Ed and Delinda will talk again. It's much more fun when they do.

  • Loved this episode

    9.4
Loved this episode. What a great introduction to the new character of Monica. She is someone that should be with the show for a long time.

She brings a new edge to the show and I love the way she and Sam went at it from the start.

Also love the tension between her and Ed.

It's great to see the majority of the original cast is still here.

Also love the continue saga of Danny and Mary. Can't wait to see what the writers have ahead for us.

But really wish the writers would hurry up and let us know what happened between Ed and DeLinda. Already bored with this fight!!

  • QUOTES (2)

    • Jillian: (About Monica) Well, she's new to Vegas and I... Can't I be nice?
Ed: No. No, you can't be nice. Not to a woman who won't listen to reason.
Jillian: Ah, you mean she won't listen to your reason. I think Monica's a really nice woman.
Ed: She's a woman that married an 83-year-old man.
Jillian: Well, maybe she loved him.
Ed: She was 25, and he was a billionaire.
Jillian: You know, Eddie, there are people who questioned why I would marry you.
Ed: Well, your mother doesn't count.

    • Delinda: Do you know what it's like to have Big Ed Deline breathing down your neck every second of the day?
      Danny: Well...yeah.
Delinda: That's right. I forgot he did catch us in bed.

    • When Sam and Monica are "talking" at the reception they start to get harsh on each other. At that moment, a sound of an angry cat is played in the background, like if indicating a cat fight ahead.

This is the start of the sound effects that occur in season three, with sounds of blinks, smiles and similar.
