When You Got To Go, You Got To Go
When Ed is kidnapped, Danny and Mike begin a frantic search of the city to find him. The fact that Ed refuses to let them contact authorities or pay the kidnapper's ransom only makes their search more difficult. Sam arranges a Vegas-style wedding for one of her clients, but it comes to a screeching halt when their lucky rings are lost. Elsewhere, Mary and Delinda collaborate when the Montecito hosts popular 80's rock band Duran Duran.moreless

  • Superb episode.

First I've ever seen of Las Vegas and It's got me right into this show.

Brilliant pacing in this episode. I hope they are all like this :-) !!

Duran Duran at the end pretty much summed up it all up. Superb. This is the first time I've saw Josh Duhamel in anything other than Transformers too :-) !! I am hoping to buy the entire box set if I can see if at my local HMV or something, because this tv series, on the basis of this one episode, is definetely worth buying.

I will maybe be back to review more in the future....moreless
  • One of my favorite episodes of this season.

The reason why I like this episode so much - honestly, I\\\'m unsure of it. For one thing, I like the music, it goes blends with the mood of the episode very well (by that, I mean \\\"Sunrise\\\" by Duran Duran, at the very end of this episode). This episode, once again, was Danny and Mike\\\'s chance to prove theirselves to Ed, and they did come through. It was nice to see Ed try some of his hostage negotiation, and how (although a little far-fetched), see how Ed learns who the kidnapper was by reconizing that the Hot and Cold handles were reversed. Over all, it was a pretty good episode. I\\\'m just not sure why Ed left the $213,000 with the guy at the end of the episode...moreless

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

  • TRIVIA (6)

    • The last time you see Ed in the bathtub, after the kidnapper left, you can see how loose the cuff on his right hand is. He could have easily slid it off and escaped.

    • Throughout the episode, when Ed is in the bathtub cuffed to the rail, the distance between his wrists and the rail changes several times in several scenes.

    • Featured Music:
      "Sunrise" by Duran Duran
"Hungry Like A Wolf" by Duran Duran
"Reach Up for the Sunrise" by Duran Duran
"What Happens Tomorrow" by Duran Duran
"And I Love You So" by Perry Como
"You Were Always on My Mind" by Willie Nelson

    • The kidnapper says he blames Ed because he is in charge of the entire casino, and that he has blamed him for the last three years. But Ed wasn't in charge of the casino three years ago, only in charge of security.

    • When Danny and Mike break in with guns drawn on the person who had lost $213,00 at the casino and then kick the door down to find him in the bathroom, they take one look at him and say "wrong guy". But while the audience has seen the kidnapper, these two have no way to know what the kidnapper looks like.

    • When Danny is woken up by the kidnapper's first call, he wakes up and the time is 3:56, but a second later when he picks up the phone the time is 3:55.
