This episode basically was the best it could be in its position.

I still think that Last Comic Standing had a lot of things it could've improved on in this season. There should've been more time for the comedians to showcase their talents in the final rounds, Gerry Dee should NOT have gotten voted off and there should not have been so many mediocre "filler" performances.

However, this episode redeemed itself in a lot of ways. The first and most obvious is that Jon Reep won. I've said it before and I'll say it again--Lavell is not that funny. He's OK, but his jokes are so predictable that his entire routine just gets old after the first five minutes. He could not make it in stand-up comedy. Reep may not be the funniest guy in the world, but he has variety. He also has something that Lavell didn't: accessibility. No matter who you are, you can get into Jon Reep. His jokes are understandable without sacrificing any of the humor. Gerry Dee may have been better, but Jon deserved to win over Lavell.

Second, the filler performances were much stronger this time around. Carrot Top was hilarious, as was Frank Caliendo as Jon Madden. The bearded guy failed to impress me, but the roasting made up for it. That's an area I can give props to Lavell. He's great at making fun of people.

All in all, I was very pleased with how this season turned out, and I will continue to be a fan of Last Comic Standing. Hopefully next season will be even better.moreless
  • I was very excited to see who was going to win when I saw this episode. I was rooting for Laval Crawford he had to be the most funniest comedian I have ever scene. To bad he didn't win though.moreless

When Laval Crawford came up on the stage and started telling jokes I just laughed till I cried and thank goodness that he made it this far to the final two but I can't remember the white guys name that Laval was competing against. In this episode the white guy told okay jokes (No Offense) but I think Laval Crawford should have won. I like the new host he does a good job at his job. Kathlin Madagin she was funny tonight to I liked the jokes. Ant he was hysterical in this episode. So I rate this episode 5 out of 5 stars.moreless
