Last Dance

Last Dance is an NBC television series from director Bruce Beresford. It aired in 1996, and it follows the character of Rick Hayes (Rob Morrow). Rick is a young lawyer who is assigned to work on the case of Cindy Liggett (Sharon Stone). Cindy has been convicted of first degree murder and is on death row serving her sentence. This series continues as the brand new lawyer Rick tries desperately to find a way to get Cindy off of death row. While he researches her case, the two form a friendship. This friendship encourages Rick to work even harder to find a way to stop Cindy's execution. The pair must work together to do this. As the season finale draws nearer, so does Cindy's execution date and the audience must watch as Rick follows numerous dead-end leads. He continues to persevere, and hopes to one day be able to see Cindy as a free and cleared woman.
