  • If Vanessa had brought fudge to Career Day the episode might have had a different clever title.

It remains to be seen if the genuine ecological and moral issues of the plot lines are well served by such a cartoon-like treatment. Leaving aside the specifics of fracking, the very real dilemma faced by many persons today to earn an honest living at a job that may not measure up to their personal moral code is a serious one. It seemed to be reduced to a lower than usual common denominator here with an upper middle class suburban teen having to use the back yard to "do her business" like her father taught her.

Everybody has a few cheap laughs and she gives up the protest in exchange for a slice of take-out pizza. Classy.
  • Unusual

This episode seemed so unusual. Both plots of this episode annoyed me, though the Eve plot did get better after the classroom part. I liked the part with Eve camping out outside, but remember, this is a 15 year old (or so) girl, this is Colorado, and this is late-November/early-December. This episode just felt so unusual.
