Dave used to joke all the time about getting speeding tickets while driving from Connecticut to New York City. My question is, was he exaggerating or was that real? I used to drive I-95 to get to work all the time (lived in NY, worked in CT) and it always seemed to be much too crowded for anyone to do any speeding.

I would assume that given his job, he worked weird hours and thus drove I-95 when it wasn't as crowded.

As for the tickets, it's true.

Plus, there weren't as many alternatives back then, so there was little to no reason why it wasn't crowded.

I didn't say it wasn't logjammed, just not as crowded.

I'm glad Dave didn't run into heavy traffic, or he'd be late for his own show, right?
