  • Zach Galifianakis is hilarious.

    8.5
The show had some ups and downs, but Galifianakis is funny. There are some clips on youtube that I suggest you watch if you missed this. The monologue at the preschool is a particularly good one.

Galifianakis is even funnier (and beardier) in the Comedians of Comedy, both the film for Showtime and Comedy Central show. So seek those out and watch them.

I don't know how I'm going to make it to the 100 word minimum. It's unbelievable that Zach Galifiankis's show didn't make it, but Craig Ferguson, best known as the British guy from the Drew Carrey show, has a talk show on network TV.moreless
  • "Late World" was underappreciated and ahead of its time.

    8.9
In a time before VH1 was flying high on the wings of nostalgia and Celebreality came Zach Galifianakis' kooky and lo-fi comedy extravaganza. While the show struggled a bit in the start to find its voice, by the second month of it's 3 month tenure, it had hit its creative stride. Absurd celebrity interviews, absurd celebrities, and great music (theme song: Pixies, muscial guest: The Shins).

Zach was not a skilled interviewer, but his lack of finesse was charming and disarming. The viewer could easily relate to his awkwardness.

This show should be released on DVD. Zach's gone on to (slightly) bigger fame with "Tru Calling" and SNL cast member Fred Armisen got his start here. Luckily I have most of the episodes taped for my viewing pleasure, since this gem will most likely be lost forever.

Don't hate on Zach. He tried something different when VH1 really needed it.moreless
