AIRED:
A hospital evacuation leads to the discovery of a body. Investigation by DSs Ronnie Brooks and Matt Devlin leads them to King's Cross, where a number of people are upset by changes to the area. Under pressure from DI Natalie Chandler, the officers believe they have identified the murderer, but the evidence is less than overwhelming. • This episode has been done before, Law and Order Season 2 Ep. 18 called 'Cradle to Grave.'

    5.0
Too bad this episode is an exact copy, almost word for word of an episode of regular Law and Order in Season 2, Ep 18: called 'Cradle to Grave'. I knew I had seen it before and I knew what was going to happen so it was uninteresting to me. Seriously, the words and everything were the same. I wouldn't have known if I didn't just watch the entire 2nd season. So the even though I was very exited to learn about British law, the episode was just disappointing. I hope the whole series doesn't continue to copy other episodes!!moreless
  • For the pilot episode I thought it was rather good.

    10
Remember Law and Order: UK is basically the reimagining of the Original L & O so they are using episode ideas from the original series. That being said, I felt the episode really held me. The chemistry between all of the characters is rather good as is the acting. I agree that the main issue in the episode was a bit weak for the first episode but the show still held me. I think and i hope next weeks episode will be stronger than this one. This episode was fast pased which i like however I hope the show will deal with different issues affectly each week. But yeah im pleased. It does feel very much like part of the Law and Order series, while the theme i was hoping would be some like the original it was still alright. For me this was a promising start i particularly liked the Law part of the show and i look forward to character development.moreless
  • Not that interesting as a pilot episode, didn't hook me in.

    5.5
Law and order UK is a british imitation of the great US crime dramas. As a pilot this episode just didn't hook me in, didn't interest me. In any other crime drama this would be classed as a normal episode. There was no action, nothing that defines it as a pilot. The characters weren't introduced that well and i didn't know who the characters were. As a pilot episode the delt with a sensitive issue which when crime drama do this it is delt with sensitivity because of connections to real life, this was no the best storyline for a pilot. I hope it improves because the show has potential but it wasn't put across to well, that's why i gave it a 5.5moreless
