It's a sad thing when you've watched enough episodes of the original Law & Order to know when stories are being 'recycled'. I've just watched the first two episodes and while I can't specify the season (although I know they're Chris Noth / Det. Mike Logan based episodes) and I KNOW they're being rehashed. I hope this formula will not continue to play out for the show or I will be very disappointed. Much of the original Law & Order was "ripped" from the headlines so why not in the UK? Anyone else notice this?

It's not a secret. Every episode of Law & Order: UK is adapted from an original U.S. episode. The opening credits identify the name of the original episode and its writer(s).

Anyone know if the new season is going to continue this pattern? I like the show but I'd prefer it to be original not reworks

And why not? The US shows have been recycling plots for over a decade.
