There are several problems with the videotape used as the final evidence: 1) It was clearly made up of tape snippets from at least four different camcorders. In reality, the police would use the individual tapes separately in their entirety. 2) The separate views show a continuity error. In one shot, the suspect is pushing the victim away, and then it immediately cuts to them standing shoulder-to-shoulder as the bullet hits the victim. 3) That continuity error destroys the premise of the tape as evidence that the suspect pushed the victim away because he or she knew about the gunman in advance.
Danny Ross: Bela Khan, a beacon of hope in a dark corner of the world. Translation: she has a long list of enemies.
Megan Wheeler: Mrs. Khan is Mike Logan: Head of the Tamil independence movement, short-listed for the Nobel Peace Prize, and under house arrest in Sri Lanka for the last two years. (Wheeler just looks at him) We get newspapers too, you know. Megan Wheeler: I just didn't know you read them.
Bela Khan: Do you believe in destiny, Detective Logan? Mike Logan: I believe you make your own destiny. Bela Khan: My fate is already written.

USA Network's retyped version of the end credits billed Brad Holbrook as Reporter 1, and Summer Crockett Moore as Reporter 2 in the episode's initial broadcast.
Bela Khan's lecture at "Hudson University" was in fact filmed at the Great Hall of the Cooper Union.
Bela Khan is wearing a pink suit, when her brother is killed. This could be another reference to the Kennedy assassination. Jacqueline Kennedy was wearing a pink suit when President Kennedy was assassinated, and it was splatted with the President's blood. She was still wearing it when she stood next to Lyndon Johnson as he was sworn in on Air Force One.
This episode appears to be ripped from the headlines of the Benazir Bhutto assassination on December 27, 2007 in Pakistan. Bhutto, a former Pakistan Prime Minister who became a leader in the Pakistan Peoples' Party opposition movement, had recently returned from exile to mount a Presidential bid against the incumbent Pervez Musharraf. She survived an initial suicide bombing attempt, but the second one succeeded.
Mike Logan: Shades of Bobby Kennedy. Bela Khan is shot at while leaving an event through the kitchen. On June 4, 1968, presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy was leaving Los Angeles' Ambassador Hotel through the kitchen, after winning the California primary when he was fatally shot by Sirhan Sirhan.
