Possible Goof: Goren, when seeing the Ferrari GTO, says they only made 32 of them. It is widely believed that there were 36 produced: 33 of the "normal" cars, and three "Type 64" cars, with revised bodywork. There were also three with the four-litre 330 engine sometimes called the "330 GTO" recognizable by the large hump on the hood but these are slightly different in appearance and performance from what Goren is talking about when referring to the GTO.

James Deakins: Bonds are a little like potato chips, people don't usually buy just one.
Robert Goren: It's a homeopathic remedy for cat allergies. Microscopic cat dander you put on your tongue. I had a girlfriend named Lola, she had cats. Alex Eames: You ate furballs for her?
(Goren is enjoying his time behind the wheel of the cherry red car.) Alex Eames: You have to come out now.
(Sitting in a 1962 Ferrari GTO belonging to the criminal.) Robert Goren: I wish I could tell you how this feels, I can't do it in mixed company, but I wish I could. (revs the engine and smiles) You have no idea. Criminal: You son of a bitch. Robert Goren: (leans out of the car and smiles) You have no idea.
Stan Coffman: (referring to Goren) You know, you're awfully snoopy. Alex Eames: A lot of people point that out.
Robert Goren: The reason why I keep harping on the bearer bond do you have a medical condition? (Roger Coffman looks confused by the sudden change of subject.)
Alex Eames: Maybe she thought she'd inherit some cash to go with the cats.
International Titles: Czech Republic "Smrt v červeném Ferrari" (Death in red Ferrari)
Interestingly, this episode marks the third time that actors Paul Dooley and Dennis Christopher have played father and son roles, appearing as Stan and Roger Coffman, respectively. They appeared previously in the 1978 Robert Altman film A Wedding, as Liam and Hughie Brenner, and in the 1979 Peter Yates film Breaking Away, as Raymond and Dave Stoller.
Special billing was given to Paul Dooley (and) in this episode.
